i cannot. and we hire. it used to be that people had a job and they stayed there for 20 years or something and now there is a lot of jumping around. it's sort of the way people advance their careers now is jump from company to company so you have to be careful now who you train and who you want to put some money into and time into. and so, you know, i do get applicants but are you going to stick around? are you serious about this? are you able to carry a heavy bucket and climb a ladder? >> sandra: there are physical demands to the job. how do you change the stigma? college isn't for everyone. most parents feel like their kid has to go to college or the student feels like they have to go to college. how do you change the stigma attached to not doing that and jumping into a trade job? >> well, you know, i'm not a big fan of telling people not to go

same old thing over and over, without your degree you're screwed. todd: that is the key takeaway. this country pushes people to college, pushes people to spend $60,000 a year on a degree that in many instances, not all, but in many instances is absolutely useless. yet we don't require any personal responsibility of those individuals who make that bargain if we don't enforce the bargain. it continues this notion of free government money. you get free government money, if you don't want to work. you get free government money if you want to go to college, get a useless degree and spend $60,000 a year doing it. we need to incentivize those individuals who say i will get a trade job. i am going to get a tiny amount of education it requires to get that trade job. but then on-the-job training that makes me skilled in that skilled trade. i will apply myself in the real world. quite frankly make a lot of money, be able to buy a house
