them hiding things relates to wildlife markets. w.h.o. investigation reported they were told by chinese officials there were no live mammals sold at the market in wuhan and particularly other markets. in fact, we know that was false, categorically. a paper was recently published by chinese wildlife researchers who found at four markets in wuhan tens of thousands of animals were sold up to november 2019, including animals we know were susceptible to sars-cov-2. the things they're hiding doesn't relate specifically to the lab. it's across the board and trying to skew a link between this virus and wildlife markets perhaps. >> josh, you know -- >> i would like to say -- >> please. >> the w.h.o. investigation that already took place extensively investigated the wildlife market theory. tens of thousands of animals

Americas Newsroom With Bill Hemmer Dana Perino

>> there is a reason why after a plane crashes we do everything possible to understand what happened. if we don't learn those lessons there are other planes in the air. for all we know the next pandemic is just around the corner and if we don't understand and fix our biggest problems we'll be at unnecessary risk. we have to get to the bottom of this which means asking the tough questions and following the data wherever it leads. >> bill: i saw you on 60 minutes last night and lesley stahl was asking about this trip to china, world health organization. you called it a study tour. in other words, you go where they let you. for me the story ended there. if you are going to be at the whim of the chinese communist party, then how much truth will you find ever? >> that's exactly right. people talk about a w.h.o. investigation, but there has been no international investigation and the world health organization as you

Still keeping secrets? China refuses to give WHO raw data on early coronavirus cases

World Health Organization (WHO) with raw data on early Wuhan coronavirus cases. The global health body said Chinese authorities have turned down requests to provide data on 174 COVID-19 cases dating back to December 2019. China’s information is of huge help to WHO investigators examining how and when the coronavirus first began to spread in the country. Investigators finished their month-long scrutiny on the matter during the week of Feb. 12.
WHO experts said Chinese officials and scientists provided their own extensive summaries and analyses of COVID-19 case data. They also supplied aggregate data and analysis on retrospective searches through medical records in the months leading to the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic. Ultimately, Chinese health authorities claimed that they found no evidence of the virus.
