The first time I heard musician Ariel Pink’s song “Round and Round,” it felt like my eardrums were eating delicious candy. His music was dreamy and catchy and cool. I saw him at the Wiltern a few years back and became a huge fan of all his work.

Ariel Pink Mocked for Taking Part in Tucker Carlson Interview Amid Capitol Riot Backlash

Ariel Pink Mocked for Taking Part in Tucker Carlson Interview Amid Capitol Riot Backlash

In one of the more unexpected Fox News collaborations, musician Ariel Pink was interviewed by Tucker Carlson on Thursday, prompting a wave of memes and jokes on Twitter mocking the recording artist for getting canceled due to his support of Donald Trump.
The musician is a popular but divisive part of the Los Angeles experimental music scene and is known for tracks like "Put Your Number In My Phone" and "Round and Round."
However, the singer's—whose given name is Ariel Marcus Rosenberg—support of Trump has led to a decline in his success. Last week, he attend the Capitol riot (with fellow musician John Maus) and shortly afterward was dropped by his record label, Mexican Summer.

It’s a lonely time to be Donald Trump. After the storming of the Capitol on January 6, the House of Representatives, including 10 Republicans, voted to impeach the outgoing US President for an unprecedented second time, charging him with “incitement of insurrection”.
Meanwhile, his corporate chums have been fleeing the floundering ship in droves. Companies from JP Morgan Chase to the Marriott hotel group have paused donations to the Republican Party. And the Professional Golfers’ Association decided to hit Trump where it hurts: confirming they will not use his courses for the 2022 men’s tour.

Two of the Capitol Rioters Arrested Attended Dallas' Straight Pride Parade

We even offered some totally sincere advice on how to put together a more successful straight pride event in the future.
The group had intended to rally a crowd of 2,000 people clamoring, presumably, for the right to remain straight. The event was canceled
because it was strikingly stupid to begin with because of low attendance, but the disproportionately proud-to-have-straight-sex Navom and Sahady were so committed to celebrating their heterosexuality that they made the trip anyway.
But, at least one shit-stirring rally would be in the cards for the pair. Navom and Sahadi are members of Super Happy Fun America, which organized a better-attended Straight Pride Parade last year in Boston, and last week, they were among the throng of President Donald Trump supporters protesting at the Capitol, demanding Congress "stop the steal."

Indie musician Ariel Pink has been dropped from his label after he confirmed attending the Trump rally that led to the violent attack on the U.S. Capitol.
“Due to recent events, Mexican Summer and its staff have decided to end our working relationship with Ariel Rosenberg AKA Ariel Pink moving forward,” tweeted the New York-based record label Friday.
(As of Monday morning, Pink’s page on the Mexican Summer website was still active.)
The announcement came just a day following Pink’s explanation on Twitter that he had attended the Washington, D.C., rally to “peacefully show my support for the president.”
