Good morning!
The University of Nebraska just hired its fourth athletic director since it joined the Big Ten a decade ago. Trev Alberts, a Husker alumnus and former Butkus Award winner, is tasked with righting a football team that’s 12-20 under third-year coach Scott Frost, and a basketball team that’s 14-45 under second-year coach Fred Hoiberg. Both were hired by Alberts’ predecessor, Bill Moos, who struck a deal to pay Frost $5 million and Hoiberg $3.9 million a year, respectively.
In March, Ryan Bamford marked his sixth year of sitting in the big chair at UMass. Bamford’s had his ups and downs — the Pat Kelsey fiasco, the AyAnna Hickman lawsuit, but his saving grace was hiring Greg Carvel.

New York Yankees news: Kluber to undergo an MRI

MLB.com | Bryan Hoch: In his first start since his no-hitter, Corey Kluber was only able to go three innings, but not because of a poor outing. Kluber left the game due to tightness in his right shoulder. He will will undergo an MRI on Wednesday. For what it’s worth, Kluber told reporters after the game that the pain didn’t feel like his shoulder tear from last year, so hopefully he’s right that it’s not serious.
MLB.com | Bryan Hoch: DJ LeMahieu was placed on the paternity list last night, as his wife, Jordan, was due to give birth to their first child. Amid the excitement among teammates at Yankee Stadium, Luke Voit told reporters that he’d probably be heading to the paternity list soon as well, as his wife, Tori, is due this weekend, when the Yankees are set to play in Detroit.
