also to nikki haley. what's your take on your former rivals endorsement strategy? >> we are seeing two sides of the coin. before it was trump, and now it's desantis. but where i see desantis -- and alignment is that we've got two corporate governors, right. we've got two individuals who really want to invest their time and energy into leading tables of corporations, versus leading their people there. they are more fiscally -- than either people right now. if you look just at the issue of education, school choice, both of them are in alignment on that issue alone. and as they are talking about school choice the part of their constituency is that folks have to choose between a go to school, and a bath school. and when you look at the bad schools, these are public schools, that these two governors have divested their interest, and our tax payer resources in. and rather than trying to resolve the challenges that exist in our education system right, now they are choosing to ask corporations to fix it for
education, dr. -- conservative public officials threatened even our largest corporations with legal action over their diversity efforts since affirmative action was federally banned. where do you see the next front in this battle nationally? >> well, i think the front has to be organized, right? organize, organize, organize. so again in the last year, as you pointed out, we've witnessed the elimination of affirmative action, we watched books get banned, we have attacks on dei, as you just pointed out, and i think we have the rejection of president biden's student loan forgiveness program, which we all know would've disproportionately affected young people of color. so i think one of the things we have to do is figure out what is the strategy moving forward to fight back and resist against these attempts to eliminate progress and to push us back several decades?
trump way out in front of nikki haley and ron desantis, did the biden campaign say at this point, okay, it looks like we're going to be facing donald trump in this upcoming general election or have you thought that all along? >> well, we're certainly prepared to wage this campaign against donald trump. he's certainly leading in the polls right now, but i'll leave the punditry to others here. what we are focused on is drawing the sharp contrast between this entire field because no matter who emerges, whether it's donald trump as folks are expecting after iowa or anybody else, they will have done so by running on the most extreme and harmful agenda in modern presidential politics. these are all candidates talking about banning abortion. talking about ripping away healthcare for millions of americans who need it. they're talking about slashing taxes for millionaires and corporations at the extenpense the middle class and they're doing that while not talking about tearing down the fabric of our democracy.
what we're going to see is terrorist activity, pinpoint targeting. they're going to go after the morale of those nations and corporations, erin, as you already indicated. 90' plus percent of the world's commerce pass through the suez into the red sea. so the message that the houthis want to get across with these kinds of pinpoint attacks very consistent, they're not going to give up on it unless, of course, this is successful is those organizations are going to say i'm going to go elsewhere, which means you're going to bear the cost of my rerouting my distribution requirements. so the houthis that demonstrated what they're up to, but there's not going to be a magnificent change in terms of their capabilities. we're not going to have the images that we have right now of what we see in gaza. >> and oren, as we look at this video and there's going to be more, we understand here from houthi official posting on twitter, which is where some of this plays out that there were raids in four places in -- at
