Westminster Conservatory of Music observes Asian and Pacific American Heritage Month with May 19 faculty recital

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Westminster Conservatory of Music will present the concert, Celebrating Asian and Pacific American (APA) Heritage Month on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at 7:30pm. The concert features nine Conservatory faculty members of APA heritage as they perform music that represents the nation of their background. It will take place in Bristol Chapel (101 Walnut Lane) in Princeton. Admission is free.

Westminster Conservatory of Music presents "Music for Two Pianos and Friends"

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- On Sunday, April 28, 2024 at 3:00pm, Westminster Conservatory of Music will present Music for Two Pianos and Friends, a recital featuring the Barton & Lehrer Piano Duo, Westminster Conservatory clarinetist Kenneth Ellison and guest artist Alexei Yavtuhovich, violin. The concert will take place in Bristol Chapel (101 Walnut Lane) in Princeton. Admission is free.

National Gallery of Art Appoints Lena Stringari as Chief of Conservation

(WASHINGTON, DC) -- The National Gallery of Art announced that Lena Stringari will join the museum as chief of conservation. Stringari comes to the National Gallery following a long career at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York, where she has served most recently as deputy director and Andrew W. Mellon Chief Conservator.

Molière in the Park presents "The Miser"

(BROOKLYN, NJ) -- Molière in the Park, in partnership with Prospect Park Alliance and LeFrak Center at Lakeside, and in collaboration with Brooklyn Public Library, presents a re-imagined version of Molière's The Miser, translated and adapted by David Chambers, and directed by Molière in the Park's Founding Artistic Director Lucie Tiberghien. The Miser runs April 27 – May 19, 2024 for 21 performances in a limited engagement at Prospect Park’s LeFrak Center in Brooklyn. Enter at 171 East Drive between Ocean Avenue and Lincoln Road.

XPN Announces 9 More Artists To 2024 XPoNential Music Festival Lineup

(CAMDEN, NJ) -- On February 29, Philadelphia public radio station WXPN announced that nine artists have been added to the lineup of its 2024 XPoNential Music Festival presented by Subaru: The Walkmen, Pete Yorn, Jade Bird, George Porter Jr. & Runnin' Pardners, Brigitte Calls Me Baby, Florry, Velvet Rouge, Mostapha Noumbissi and Carla Gamble. They join the eight previously announced artists performing September 20-22 at Wiggins Park on the Camden waterfront, directly across the Delaware River from Philadelphia.
