to the ground. rob and mike? >> thanks, jeremy. police in miami have arrested a man after a bizarre scare at the airport there. the suspect's luggage literally started exploding when it was taken off the plane by baggage handlers. police say hundreds of bullet parts were inside that luggage and they say when one of the parts ignited all the others went off as well. police say the incident is not connected to terrorism. the airport problems in moscow are so bad, russia's president wants prosecutors to investigate. thousands of passengers have been stuck for days after an ice storm grounded flights and knocked out power at the airport. the president wants to know if any laws were broken. passengers say there was little food and no information about when their flights would actually take off. this might be a little hard to hear considering the travel troubles of the last few days but airline fares are going up yet again. united, continental, delta, maybe even american are all adding $10 each way on many domestic routes. they're not saying why but there

foxnews.com/happeningnow. jeremy just got himself a job, so congratulations to you, jeremy. there is a new sign that the u.s. job market could be on the mend. the latest numbers show that fewer people are filing for unemployment. the labor department reporting about 420,000 americans applied for first-time job benefits last week. that's actually down 3,000. it's the second drop in three weeks. economists, though, say applications need to dip consistently to 375,000 or fewer to show a significant decline in unemployment in this country. jenna: well, now to a troubling trend in the housing market. we've all watched housing prices take quite a hit, and that's probably an understatement since the market peaked back in 2007. but property taxes are on the rise still, in some cases on the rise sharply. so what's going on here? elizabeth macdonald's with us from the fox business network. make the connection between how much home prices have dropped and how much home property taxes have gone up.

or something, that's a pretty big issue and it doesn't help to the stress levels. but once we got to the gas station, what can you do except try to make the best of it and have a good time and keep a positive attitude. one of the things we want to say is how amazing the gas service station people were. they stayed there all night. it was tend of their shift and they ended up being with them, just the two of them with us and probably another 100 people all night long. they kept it up and running and they could have easily gone home to their families, probably, so -- >> wow, big shout out to them. >> francis and mika at the speedway on route 30 in wanataugh, indiana. >> there you go. excellent. everybody stop think there and give them a cup of coffee. fill up your tank of gas. that's really nice, guys. scott, jeremy, glad you made it to a safe location, you're dry and warm. we appreciate you ireporting for us. >> thank you.

the. >> thank goodness my car made i over the median because we didn't get much help. when we said we wanted to know whether to wait there or try to get off the road, they said, well, there's a weather emergency. and we thought, that's probably one of the most apparent things someone could have said to us. >> that's a little obvious. >> i guess what was odd was they said they didn't have a policy of telling people either to move ahead or to try to go back. so we had to make the decision ourselves and i thought that that sounded like they didn't want to be liable for what they told us. so we went back to the closest thing that was safe, which was a gas station about two miles away. >> very smart. jeremy, was there any tense moment there where you and scott were about to choke each other's necks or was everything pretty calm, cool and collected? >> funny you should ask. no, we really did pretty well. i think in those moments when i'm a back seat driver and i'm making sounds if he should stop
