i just don't want to be forced to play a part in his ceremony. this is not far to hate people who have genuine objections. >> the question is what you make them do. sarah, what do you say to those who say, listen, this is just about my religion. i don't believe in you marrying your partner. i don't want to be a part of it. >> well, they don't have to attend weddings of same-sex couples or participate in the wedding itself. but when you are a business, and you open yourself up to the public, you're expected to serve everyone on equal terms. it's why we have a long history in this country of prohibiting discrimination on the basis of race, on the basis of religion, on the basis of sex in public accommodations. all business owners should be treating their patrons equally and fairly. >> sarah, you're going to hear people flip this analogy on you and say, wait a minute, if this were a jewish baker and some kkk couple came in and said we want you to make a cake, if he said no, how would you feel about this situation? >> most of these business owners

differences of opinion, we've had a way to work those out and live side by side in a pluralistic manner. the question, should we be asking ourselves is not what should you be doing to bring your religion in line, that's between the person and god. we need to conduct ourselves with fairness as we live side by side. this merely allows religious claims to be served in that context. >> sarah, does that work for you as to how somebody exercises their faith? >> we struggle in this country with discrimination. it's something that's plagued our country for generations. it's why we've adopted nondiscrimination laws. let's be clear, this bill not only has the potential for negative ramifications for lgbt people, but also people of faith. this would allow a business owner, a retailer to refuse to sell a wedding dress potentially to someone who is a different faith than they are. >> it doesn't have to just be lgbt, it could be a muslim,

let's debate. sarah is with the human rights campaign dedicated to equal rights for the lgbt community. and a conserve advocacy group. thank you to both of you for being with us. let's begin this. travis, you know what the pushback against the law is, that this law is basically set up to allow businesses to say, we don't want to do business with gay people especially when they're getting married, and that's our faith. is that fair? >> it's not fair. the law merely allows people to bring a religious claim in court proceedings. sometimes it rises in the context of religious beliefs and sexuality. but it also arises in a number of other contexts dealing with a number of religions across the board. it's not to fair it's only about the claim of sexuality. >> look, we support religious liberties. that's why we have the first amendment. but this law was intended to allow for discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual and

they end up doing 300-400 hours of training here at this facility. >> all this information. why would someone do this? sarah, thank you very much in arizona. as this evidence here is mounting blaming the co-pilot for the crash, those that knew him can't believe what they're here hearing. an acquaintance said he always looked well. >> very healthy guy. doesn't smoke. i can't imagine he was mentally ill, depressed and sad. he doesn't seem like it. i was shocked when i hear that. >> we also know officials from the can dusseldorf hospital clinic that saw him in february and march said that reports of treating him for depression are baseless quote, unquote. agent at the dea and global

>> well it's -- that's a very good question. i think that the issues that are placed on the pilot with respect to a $25,000 fine if they lie. if there is an accident down the line they may not be insurable which is another issue these pilots need to keep in mind. there's no strict psychological screen. we ask general questions. how is their health? anything stressful in their lives? it's the self-reporting that's so critical in this. >> lubitz began working for the company in 2013. part of the training involved time in the united states. sarah is in the town of goodyear arizona west of phoenix. part of his training was there. let's begin sarah, how long was he at this facility in arizona?

discrepancies the woman's account. friends of jackie told cnn they were with her that night and she told a different story of what happened. they showed us e-mails and text messages that appeared to show that jackie had fabricated the man who she said orchestrated her rape. police cleared the fraternity where jackie said the alleged rape had happened. but police have always left open this possibility that jackie was raped somewhere else or on different night. now it's important to remember that the police investigation is separate from the university of virginia's internal investigation into whether they handled jackie's claim and other reports of sexual assaults correctly. >> sarah, thank you so much. let's bring in cnn's law enforcement analyst tom fun ten now. >> what questions specifically do the police need to answer? >> first of all, they need to

here here? >> well, looking at the physical evidence because that is what makes or breaks a case and if we listen to darren wilson's side of the story every bit of the evidence backs up his side of the story. the evidence on the car, inside of the car, and the evidence on mike brown himself. we have a blood trail going to the car and outside of the car, and we have injuries inside of the car when michael brown was charging at him, and he went airborne and landed on the face and the justice department went into great detalil in describing that physical evidence and that is why when we were discussing the case with you earlier this summer don, we were confident what the findings would most likely be, because we were confident in what the physical evidence would show us irrespective of what the eyewitnesses said. >> sarah, we were both there in the ground and you were struck in the head with an object when there was no indictment. why people and it does not matter what the reports say, and
