situation in new york now. eric fisher is live at laguardia airport. we have been talking about doom and gloom. how do things look for you, eric? good morning. >> reporter: good morning, alex. it's not armageddon yet. things are going to change in a big way here at laguardia. the usual number of folks are checking in. there are some cancellations, but if your flight is before 10:30 this morning, for the most part you are in good shape. toward the afternoon, the midday hours, hundreds of cancellations came in from united, continental, delta, southwest. all the major airlines are expecting a deterioration in the weather as are we. it's going to snarl travel. it's a huge day for folks trying to get home from the holidays. a nice relaxing christmas dinner yesterday and now they want to get back to where they live. it's not going to be an easy task. if you can extend your holiday
