>> jim avila with the flag behind him in cuba. thank you. and evacuations tonight not far from a deadly plane crash that then led to a fire on the ground. one of several blazes among bone dry conditions in washington state. the small plane crash adding to the emergency already. neal karlinsky in washington. >> reporter: tonight, conditions are so hot and dry out west, that officials say a small plane crash may have started this wildfire burning in rural washington state and into canada. the plane, a cessna 182 like this one, burst into flames when it crashed for unknown reasons killing two people. a small fire started near the crash site. around the same time, a second fire sparked up nearby. it's unclear if the plane was involved. but tonight, at least 3,000 acres have burned and roughly 50 structures are threatened. in houston tonight, firefighters and even homeowners with garden hoses are battling a fast moving grass fire near homes. in southern california, where extreme weekend temperatures are hitting triple digits, the cabin fire near glendora is now threatening several structures
