Register now. Good evening to you. It’s wheels down for the first doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine against COVID-19. Nearly 500,000 doses arrived in Canada earlier today, but there’s still some confusion about whose arms they should enter. Health Canada last week authorized its use for all adult Canadians, but the National Advisory Committee on Immunization recommended earlier this week that it not be administered to people age 65 or older. Other countries, including France, have since moved on from that position and approved it for use in older adults.
