that actually, happened as the fbi was in the midst of a manhunt today for a capitol rioter, former new jersey national guard police sergeant, who is accused of pepper spyi officers at the capitol on january six. nbc reports that gregory yasmin was identified in early 2022 but online sleuths who go by the name, sedition hunters, a group that has aided in the arrest of ndds of capitol rioters. the online sleuths said that yetman was seen unloading a canister of chemical weapons from behind a police line, as officers came under attack on january six, 2021. that image of yetman was featured in a wanted poster released by the fbi on thursday before he finally surrendered. now, trump hyping memes of a burning capital building, while one of his followers were literally put in handcuffs today for have met so many people who talked about the fact that they were going to go out to vote, not in the traditional way that people talk about the fact that it's election day, and i am going to vote, but because they felt that they were participating in democracy in a way that they have not felt say ten years ago or 15 years ago. people went out and voted, particularly in judicial elections, not that people talk about it all that much, because they felt that they were doing for the right for democracy. >> that's right, ali. it's good to be back tonight. here in the commonwealth of pennsylvania, voters made it clear that they do not want the cynicism -- cynicism and our rights to be mailed back in anyway, because they went with intentionality and purpose to ensure that justice elect dan mccaffrey won that race, and it was very clear that his opponent was not talking about the 2020 election, and the alleged fraud that occurred with voters. his opponent was not clear on where she stood on women's rights to reproductive health. however, it was very clear that our state supreme court makes all at the very important decisions to double down on our rights and freedoms in pierre. >> look, a lot goes into michigan and georgia and arizona because of all of the shenanigans that are going on. and pennsylvania, it was right in the midst of it. the midterm election showed that a lot of republicans and pennsylvania came out and supported democratic candidates, because they simply cannot be associated with this anti-democracy message that republicans are involved in in places like pennsylvania. how do you think that this bodes for next year and what democrats need to be talking about in terms of preserving democracy? >> it shows us one thing, and first and foremost, voters are paying attention. we were not able to cruise control for a lot of hot here elections, where there were municipal decisions being made. district attorney mayor, and our courts here npi, but since the united states supreme court ruled back the rights of women almost 50 years of protections, pennsylvanians voted to stand up. the only reason i became the face woman speaker in pennsylvania how speaker, why i had to gavel, while democrats have a one seat majority in our chamber, because they recognize that just last year, republicans, when they control the house, they were trying to push a constitutional amendment, get this, to ban abortion and require restrictive voter i.d. here in our state. >> let me ask you about that, because they at the state, the support for abortion rights outweighs opponents of abortion rights, but more people are supporting abortion rights and votes like the one that you talked about in pennsylvania in votes like what we saw on tuesday, in these referendum, no matter who puts them in the courts forward. this seems to be into the fence of rights and democracy, as opposed to just a fight about abortion. >> that's right, because the question is what wright is next? in 2020, we saw pennsylvania is a part of ground zero for our former president, and his claim that there was election fraud. he says something like bad things were going to happen in philadelphia, when in fact, philadelphians came out in record numbers to defeat him electorally. so we recognize not only are our rights to health care. i would say when i go to the doctor, there's only room for me. there are not 253 seats, i can take the chamber with me. the senate and the house. but not only that, our rights alone, we want to make sure that we don't have conspiracy theorists, people promoting the biggest lie on the high score of our land. our former president would also do every court, trying to be able to undo the outcome of pennsylvania voters. >> it's always a pleasure joining us. i want to pick up on that conversation, because this does seem to be a thing. it's not just the abortion question, it's places where locks for liberty were running candidates for school board. people got excited by school board elections in this country, got excited about judicial elections for county officials across this country, because it came down to pacific merits or against my rights? >> it's a freedom agenda that democrats are running on, and we have never done this before. if you go back and look at the presidents reelection launchpad, which really focused on freedom, so it's financial freedom, affordability and breathing room, into personal finances, it's personal freedom. and freedom over your body and for your kids, it's freedom for what they read in schools, and also, the freedom for them to come home from school to be safe and free from gun violence, have that vote counted. the freedom to breathe, clean air, so these freedoms are at the core of what this is about. you see the difference between republicans and democrats are now on those freedoms, is that democrats want to govern and expand freedom, and republicans want to rule and limit and contract. >> let me ask you about the conversation that was having with the speaker joanna mcclinton with democrat fee, who won the judicial race. it was believed that $20 million was poured into that race, erekat for a traditional race. traditional campaign, much of it from jeffrey asked, who is not to be the richest man in pennsylvania, who was supporting the republican candidate. how does this happen. at this point, where it becomes either about freedom or rights or democracy, what happens with these big dollars that are continuing to go at republicans. at some point, are these republican donors before the 2024 election, going to have to confront the fact that there are supporting people who are just not preserving democratic rights there? >> they're lighting their money on fire, because it is not working. but to your point, they are continuing to invest in the undermining of our democracy and attempting to take a wrecking ball to the rule of law, but the hero of this week, the hero in this story, and the hero next year's at the voter, the everyday voter who recognize that their rights are at stake, and that the greater good democracy just has to live long enough through the election next year, and we can give it a shot. i am more inspired and optimistic that good guys are going to win, and we are going to see that, we will renew and redeem democracy and write a new and better chapter next year. >> i will be having a conversation in a few moments with a mother who had had it with the book banners, and the overtaking of the school board. on some levels, i sort of joked at that groups like that, these so-called groundswell groups that are involved in culture wars, have done isn't a favor. it has brought us into democracy in a way that allows us to be the footsoldiers of democracy, allowed regular, everyday people to say, i can do something to put a stop to this. >> it allows regular people to recognize that they are not helpless, that they have agency. not just in registering or voting, but also showing up in the town square, at a town hall. that is your power. you showed that you carried, showed up, and this past week, showed up made a difference. >> we don't want to forget that you are an important member of congress. i need you all to pass and thing that allows us not to shut down the government in the next seven days, what is the likelihood of that happening? >> these guys seem responsible, right? i am very worried that these are the failures that they have failed to come together among themselves to even a pass appropriation bills among themselves that will bring affordability to my constituents, and that will keep a safer in the world, so this is just a lesson, and democrats stand ready to govern, will deliver the votes are pushing culture wars issues over gender, sexuality and race last in local races across the country, from pennsylvania to virginia, to iowa, republicans bet big on the culture wars, targeting school board elections in swing districts. their extremist agenda in race after race was sold under the guise of parental rights, with the help of well funded, far-right groups like moms for liberty. we've seen this play book before. it's created panic that schools are trying to groom children, instead of teaching diversity and inclusivity, they tried to limit the diversity program, banning pride flags, banning books, banning transgender citizen playing sports, even changing school curricula to forbid discussion of certain issues, and they called that parental rights. where i come from, we call that bs. apparently, so do a lot of my fellow voters. lauren place that the extremism lost big on tuesday night's deep enrich school district in bucks county, pennsylvania, north of philadelphia. it was part of the group called a rich network. our next guest, jane cramer, helped elect democratic parents in the school board who would prevent -- protect students rights and promote education for all students. jane cramer started a tiktok campaign to explain how the republican school board policies were targeted lgbtq+ riddance and students of color, and she documented it, while protesting at a liberty event. and on tuesday night, democrats swept all five open seats on the school board, taking control of the school board away from republicans. this is what democracy looks like. joining me now is jane cramer, a parent from bucks county, pennsylvania, who helped lead the fight to remove moms for liberty from her school board. jane, thank you, thank you behalf of democracy, on behalf of
