fear that we should have going into this election as well,. the question is, are we, as a nation, resilient enough to insist that we will remain unified coming out of november? that's a question that's unanswered right now. >> jill wine-banks, my friend, i understand you have a special case tonight. tell me about it. >> i do. i'm so excited and i have set one to you, so you will be receiving it soon. it was made by a wonderful etsy company in new york and it's for celebrating all that you have given to our listeners, throughout the years that you've had american voices, and wishing you luck in your new endeavor in daytime television. so, i'm very excited to be part of your ending show. very sad, but very happy to be part of it. >> told you, you're not allowed to make -- way too much mascara on to cry this early in the programming. it's funny, we always referred to as jill angelique, jill and julie, because we have both of you on the program so much and together so often. thank you both for being two of the voices that we turn to over

the military now with recruiting. recruiting is at a generational low in this country, since the vietnam war. i think there's a lot of reasons for that, and i will rectify that. but part of it is we haven't had a president elected who's been a veteran since 1988, a president that served in a foreign conflict. i'd be the first to do that. part of what i'm going to do, i'm going to take out the political, the woke, the nonsense out of the military as commander in chief day one. we are going to hold up military service as something that's a noble cause. ronald reagan was inspiring when he would talk about some people spend a lifetime not knowing whether they made a difference, but a u.s. marine doesn't have that problem. john f. kennedy said, people can look back on their life with a great deal of satisfaction saying, i served in the united states navy. so, this is something that i think is very important. so, i will be an advocate for military service. ly talk about that being a worthy endeavor for young people to pursue. and we are going to solve this problem. we are going to get more people

stay motion. he's filing motions despite the fact that they said there is a stay. that is a complete disrespect to the order of law and the rule of law and that is why his poll numbers go up. the american people are not stupid they're afraid and they're going to put their votes behind trump because of it. >> sean: it's going to be interesting to watch, the time line now unfold as the supreme court did not step in to expedite that case. we'll see how that works its way through the courts. alaina, we'll be getting updates from you probably throughout the year. thanks for being with us. happy new year >> coming up zero experience hunter, guess what? he's on to his next endeavor. this time off to hollywood, we'll explain, we get reaction from pam bondi straight ahead.

very important. i'll be indicative miller service. i will talk about that being a worthy endeavor for young people to pursue. and we are gonna solve this problem, we are gonna get more people signing up. [applause] >> i want to ask about the limits you think could have as president. the former president keeps claiming he can be prosecuted for anything happened while he was an office. because he has presidential immunity. if you're the nominee and elected president, do you think you have blanket presidential immunity? >> i'm gonna, you take an oath to support and defend the constitution. i did it when i commission as an officer. anyone who served in the military does it. i took it out as governor, as president you are taking an oath to take care of the laws, faithfully executed and preserve, protect, and defend the constitution of the united states. so i mean will bat already with that obligation in mind. and i don't think something is constitutional, i'm to the bound to oppose it. that's just the nature of the job.

the secretary of state was biassed. then he goes on to say, well, even if they did properly follow their own procedures, that didn't give me enough due process. they had a hearing with a law professor. it doesn't comport with due process. even if all those other arguments fail, the president does not qualify as an officer of the united states under the constitution. and the beauty of this approach, the colorado trial level judge found that the president does not qualify as an official. that was a reverse by the supreme court. it gets into the whole dance that lawyers do. but what trump is doing is giving himself four or five different ways to win. lawyers like to do that. they like any competitive endeavor, you up your chances. >> as you read it, can you pin pint point what they think the most effective? >> i think they understand the
