Alleged Accomplice of Truck Attack Islamic Terrorist Found in Italy

24 Apr 2021
Italian police have arrested a 28-year-old Albanian man suspected of helping procure a weapon for the radical Islamic extremist behind the 2016 Nice terrorist attack.
Albanian national Endri E. was taken into custody this week in the commune of Sparanise near Naples after France issued a Europe-wide arrest warrant for him.
The 28-year-old is accused of supplying a weapon to terrorist Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel, who carried out the 2016 Nice truck attack that caused the deaths of 86 as he ran people over on Bastille Day along Nice’s Promenade des Anglais before being shot dead by police.

Knife-wielding man is bundled to floor by police at French kosher market

A knife-wielding man has today been arrested by French police after being seen outside a Jewish school and a kosher market where pupils buy their lunch.
Security guards at the Yavne school in Marseille spotted the man brandishing the weapon on Friday and alerted police, who tackled him to the ground as he tried to enter the nearby market.
The children were all kept inside the school while officers searched the area for explosives or any accomplices, and no one was injured, a Marseille police spokeswoman said.
One witness claimed the man was also armed with a tear gas canister.

The French president is launching nothing less ambitious than a secular crusade. Not to save Jerusalem, but to save France's imaginary republican soul

For four years, French prosecutors strained every sinew to prove that a multinational jihadist conspiracy was behind the attacks on the newspaper Charlie Hebdo and a Jewish supermarket in Paris.
A total of 17 were killed in gun attacks that spread across three days and stunned the nation. This was France's biggest terrorist trial and yet, despite its importance, the fact that the attack on a newspaper led to a second and the likelihood that it will lead to yet more, the convictions last week left basic questions unanswered.
