frankly it's in the really about reducing inflation, there was a political term slapped on top of a bill that was really about addressing climate issues, deficit reduction, some changes to the tax code, some healthcare changes, it wasn't on its face about reducing inflation. on the issue of inflation, we have had some good news lately, gasoline prices have come off very high levels. so there are some signs of improvement but we still have a ways to go. and i think the next six months are going to be really important in dictating what kind of bumps the economy faces as we try to get inflation down. if we get some of the supply chains issues worked out that have caused the inflation maybe it comes down without much pain but it's still possible we could have more problems down the road. arthel: and having chips produced here in the country would help that as well.

this problem that they had and the freedom caucus. you know, that changed the first two years of the trump administration, the freedom caucus actually did come together, work with them, they got the tax package passed, they actually passed health care changes, but they only did that because they had suffered some losses. and i think that's going to end up being the ultimate only thing that makes democrats figure out how to get unified, is that they suffer some blowback for all of this at the polls. paul: well, i mean, there was some talk about the price cooperation, reducing infrastructure, certainly the usmca that dan mentioned, but are they really going to say, no, no, never? >> i believe that progressive wing is going to dig in. they believe they were sent to washington to obstruct this president, not work with him. they think they're there to be a check on donald trump, and i don't see them giving up. if. >> yeah. well, or they were working

impossible to keep, that everyone's premiums will go down, that everybody will have coverage. the simple reality is we're going to find out very soon that millions stand to lose their healthcare from this. the resources that have been devoted to helping people with preexisting conditions are going to in no way be adequate enough. what is really driving this, wolf, and i think it is the central point people need to understand. it is not that the gop members simply want to cut people off from their healthcare. it is not as simple as that. there's a reason behind it, and the reason is they want the money from the healthcare changes to go into a tax cut. so they're willing to cut millions off their healthcare if they can give it back in the form of a tax cult. that's really what is involved here. it is why this went forward ultimately before the tax cut plan because they needed money out of the healthcare system to pay for a tax cut. >> just this week -- and you heard a lot of republicans mentioning this today, congressman, aetna pulled out of
as well. a lot of activity whether it is north korea, yemen, or the like, just want to circle back as we get back to health care being one of the top topics of the day, being that republicans put forward their plan yesterday evening. i want to point to something that the president said just a few hours ago. this is president trump on twitter. "our wonderful new healthcare bill is now out for review and negotiation.
