>> unfortunately, it is abundantly clear that biden justice department is -- is covering for the white house is doing everything they can to impede the investigation into hunter biden, but more significantly into joe biden we have two irs whistle-blowers come forward accused attorney general merrick gar lands of lying under oath to congress that's a felony they've accused attorney general that department of justice of obstruction of justice one of the clearest examples is we have the text message that hunter biden sent to chinese communist official demanding millions of dollars and saying i'm sitting next to my father. the investigators naturally wanted to get gps data to confirm that hunter was next to joe biden and retaliation that hunter was threatening could happen the department of justice said no. you can't find out where hunter was and joe when he said that and david wise special prosecutor has been prosecuting this for five years at this point mr. wise is the slowest prosecutor on the face of the planet, and that's not an accident. he deliberately allowed statute of limitations to expire on several of the worst criminal offenses hunter biden committed in particular those dealing with millions of dollars from burisma i think the reason he allowed they will to expire is those dollars are directly tied to daddy to president joe biden. maria: unbelievable. do you have evidence that joe biden made policy decisions based on -- events that he was actually paid for for example, i have been questioning why this administration canceled the china initiative as soon as joe biden walked into the office, and i'm wondering if he was paid for that i know last chapter of the book is on china. is some of this -- wokeness, this marxism coming from china and what about that first question do you have evidence that he actually made policy decision based on something that he was paid for. >> on the china piece joe biden won't answer questions on that so we don't have information and david wise and department of justice seem desperately committed to avoiding any evidence being assembled. we do have evidence on ukraine and in particular that -- that joe biden demanded the firing of the prosecutor in ukraine that was investigating the corrupt oligarch to owns burisma and that he threatened to withhold mft, in fact, did withhold loan guarantees until they fired that prosecutor. so when it comes to bribery essence of bribery is quid pro quo this for that we know that occurred we know biden demandinged and received the firing of the prosecutor so that much is direct evidence. we also know that -- that hunter and joe they had over 20-shell companies and they had multiple bank accounts, they had multiple -- joe biden had multiple fake e-mail accounts, multiple burner phones none of that you do if you're not trying to hide something. at this point on its face this appears to be a serious and elaborate money laundering scheme on top of that we know that joe biden personally received at least 240,000 dollars they did write in the memo line loan repayment but no evidence, no evidence as to what loan they're talking about and it conveniently happened to come from sources overseas. maria: unbelievable. senator i have to ask you, your book is important because it explains the marxism threat we've got ripping through this country and explains how we got here. my question to you is how do we get out of it? what are the solutions here? >> well look that's really what the book is all about. the book explains how all of the major institutions in america have been ceased by the radical left it starts with universities. universities i call universities the wuhan lab of the woke virus. it is where the virus was created, it is where it mutated and where it spread each chapter of the book goes to different institution so goes from universities, to k-12 education and from there to journalism there to government and from there to big business, from there to big tech, from there to entertainment, to hollywood, movie tv, music sports from there to science, and the corruption and politicization of science and ends as you know with china and china is a central intertwined with this and this book number one explains how and why the radical left seeing these institutionings. i think a lot of americans are wondering, how the heck did this happen this is when the book explains they did it from inside and critically book does exactly what you ask. maria in each chapter it ends with how we fight back and lays out specific strategies how to take the institutions back. for example k-12 education, k-12 education i talk about corruption we're seeing in our public schools but i also talk about what happened in virginia where a teenage girl tragically was sexually assaulted by a boy wearing skirt in girl's restroom and school covered it up and deny it happened and arrested father of the victim not the predator. but that sparked as you know moms across virginia getting furious and not only winning school board elections i'm making -- endorsing in school board elections all across texas and parents are taking school boards back because what we need is transparency we need sunlight, and then we need action and so that's one of the strategies in terms of taking k-12 back. maria: this war on israel has sparked outrage as well as anti-semitism across our country. i want to get your reaction to this. [chanting] >> this is the new york city police department. you are unlawfully in the roadway and obstructioning traffic. >> we understand tiktok is part of the issue and, of course, jews everywhere are aphrase for they lives once again senator, how would you assess the white house's response and what can you do about it as an elected official? >> listen unfortunately white house response has been terrible and whowtion and state department have been undermining israel and urging israel literally from within minutes of when this horrific attack began on october 7th. the biden white house has been telling israel do not retaliate cease-fire, stop do not kill the terrorists. my view is real simple, israel is correct, absolutely justified in eliminating hamas and killing the terrorists. and the biden administration needs to stop giving billions of dollars to terrorist who want to murder us. now, what we're seeing here at home maria, is heartbreaking. we're seeing this anti-semitism on college campuses and i got to say it is a manifestation of exactly what my new book unwoke is all about. because it explains cultural marxism karl marx views world as inevitable conflict between oppressors and victims and he put it in socioeconomic terms. the owners of the capitol and working men and women and the solution marx is to throw overso-called oppressors and use government to redistrict wealth well i describe in the book unwoke how the marxist and 60s and 70s began infiltrating universities it began mutating, and i got to say there are a lot of just -- plain jane liberals wondering why is the left right now between the squad and universities so viciously anti-semitic and the reason is -- for the radical left they have decided that jews are the oppressors, and palestinians are the victims which is why they support the violent revolution of the victims even though look hamas -- targeted civilians raped and murdered women and children and deliberately slaughtered infants. maria: senator thank you for your work we'll be watching that, of course, we're all wondering the same thing senator ted cruz joining us in texas. thank you sir now new developments around war in israel as -- for the first time in 11 years, the president of iran visits saudi arabia. meeting with saudi president as fighting in israel intensifies. i want to bring in retired u.s. army general anthony tata let me say off the bat thank you for your service to our great country thank you to all of the courageous men and women out there who have served this nation on this veteran's weekend sir thank you for being here. >> thank you maria. maria: what is your reaction to the iranian leader meeting with saudi crown prince muhammad and also this as china is leader xi jinping gets set to come to america this week? >> well, maria i think the iranian leader and mbs meeting is what a lot of this is all about. the abraham accords that president trump began normalization of relations between israel and many muslim nations, iran had to stop that because it interrupted their intent to discontent throughout the middle east, and as far as china's role 70% of the oil that iran produces goes to china and that's, you know, that's some $25 billion in oil revenue that iran is getting, and they're sending iran is 150 to 300 million a year directly to hamas and other terrorist regimes in the area. hezbollah this year militia groups, rebels and this is disrupting and biden administration did a good job themselves. maria: yeah i was under impression that when joe biden took office, you weren't allowed to say the words abraham accords which, of course, the architect of them is secretary michael pompeo. but ipts i want to get your take on war in israel this morning general. do you believe do you have conviction that israel can wipe out hamas and how worried are you about hezbollah increasing its efforts and what about the u.s.? readiness right now? well three dichght issues. i believe the idf can prosecute this war even with the so-called pauses what they're doing is localized we're not going to fight here but open up path for civilians to move. i think that's a good move. meanwhile they're keeping pressure on, you know, gaza city and other areas you know momentum has a quality all of its own and it forces hamas to communicate forces them to move and intelligence systems then easily pick them up and then you can attack them and create a cycle of momentum and attack and victory up in the north hezbollah, i believe i continue to believe that they're fixing element there. their intent to fix forces to prevent israel from repositioning forces from north and then united states, you know, right now readiness we do have recruiting was. we have morale issues but, you know,d.o.d. leadership particularly at the company grade and fuel grade level they're good people trying to do the right thing for america, and we've got now, you know, three carrier strike groups in the region that are a real pronouncement of u.s. real estate, you know, in that general vicinity. maria: obviously, none of oured a very adversaries tried this president trump abraham accord and policy towards china was something that -- deterred them. why would you you said that wasd what happened to change things under joe biden?
