"the five." fox news alert police say a suspect dead after responding to report of active shooter on university of nevada las vegas campus police update saying a number of victims were taken to the hospital. for more let's go to jonathan hunt for a quick update. >> two hours ago we got the first word from the las vegas police department there was active shooter on campus of the university of nevada las vegas in the heart of the city of vegas just a short distance to have strip behind the mgm grand hotel. there was also an alert immediately set out by university officials asking students to shelter in place and if to run hide fight run if they could hide if they have to fight if they must. within about 30 minutes of those initial statements from the police department and university we got word from the police that the suspect singular had had been located and in their words quote is deceased. we do not know at this point if the suspect was killed in a shootout with the police or any armed security that there may have been on campus and we don't know if the suspect killed him or herself. at this point we know nothing about the identity of the shooter. as i just mentioned whether it was a man or woman we often assume because statistics tell us it is almost always a male shooter we don't have that confirmed from the police at this point. they do say there were victims in this shooting and we just got word from sheriff mcmay hill there are three victims taken to the hospital. the extent of injure juries is unknown. there is also quote no more threat to the community. >> jonathan thank you very much. las vegas police say moments ago there are three victims after the university shooting but the unknown extent of the injuries is being investigated and we will monitor that for updates. president biden admitting critics who say he's too old for the presidency may be right. joe telling them this during a fundraiser if trump wasn't running i'm not sure i'd be running but we cannot let him win for the sake of the country. biden had to walk back his comment and insisted he would be running no matter what. >> would you be running for president if trump wasn't sflung. >> i expect so but he's running and i have to run. >> [inaudible] >> no, not now. >> doug think there's any democrat that should run other than you?
