[laughter] if. will: great. pete: crowder performing good god almighty. he is a performer. by the way, happened to see him -- caleb, which is a christian radio music station that, had their awards in nashville, and he performed, and he rocked it. people loved -- will: really good. pete: really talented. great guy. thanks for being here. we're going to the to hear from them again -- rachel: yeah, there's going to be a full performance later in the show. will: the final hour of "fox & friends" if on this saturday. meanwhile, david axlerod, former obama strategist, appeared on real time with bill maher, and he made what some consider an admission, he also made what i think amounts to a plea when it comes to who's running for president. watch. >> i like joe biden, and i worked with him, and i was grateful to work with him. i think he's done a lot of very, very fine things as a president for which history will be kind to him. that's not the question. the question is whether at this age he should have run. but he did run are. and right now -- run are. and right to now he is the nominee of the democratic party. voters nominate a candidate, they've nominated joe biden, and he's not going anywhere. and there's no delegation of elders -- i mean, how do you find elders anyway? [laughter] there's no generation of elders who are going to go to the white house and tell him that he can't run. he is going to run. and one of the reasons they wanted an early debate, i'm sure, is to focus people on this is the choice. it's trump and biden. i mean, you can take the easy way out and say, well, i'm not going to vote for either of them, but one of those guys is going to be president of the united states, and people ought to focus on that and give up on the sort of fantasy that there's going to be another candidate. will: there's a lot to unpack out of that statement. rachel: sure is. will: first of all, the admission that at least from the obama camp, they wish that it wasn't joe biden. rachel: yeah. will: but, it is. and he says there's no functional way to replace joe biden. but what i hear in the end is also a plea, a plea for people to stop considering robert f. kennedy jr. there is no third party, there'll be nobody else but joe biden, and i think there's real concern about the effect of robert f. kennedy jr. on joe biden. pete: the top democratic strategist, won twice for obama, had to say this, he is the nominee of the democrat party. [laughter] rachel: yeah. pete: there's no one out there saying, is donald trump the nominee of the republican party? they know they don't want this guy. also he talked about elders. he -- biden is the elder. this is no one more elderly-ish than biden. that decision is his and jill's, and he also a makes a reference in the longer clip to 1968. a lot of us have looked at the convention, could democrats make a switcheroo are. they've changed their party rules in such a way that the voters really do get the final say. there is no mahogany, smoke-filled room in the background where they can just replace him. it would have to be joe and jill's choice, and jill has made very clear, rachel, they're not going anywhere. rachel: yeah. i've said that all along. i don't think joe biden is fully there. i think he would have stepped down. frankly, i think the kind thing would have been for him to step down, but jill biden very much enjoys where she's at, and a lot of people have said she suggested -- there's never been a lot of love between the bidens and the obamas -- pete: [inaudible] rachel: exactly. she's like, you know what? i don't care if this guy is flailing mental ally, we're here, you can't kick us out. the obamas, with all the a power they have, could not push joe biden and jill biden off the stage for fresher blood. and you get the sense from that statement, you know, first of all, he a starts it by sighing -- saying i like joe biden. when you have the start with joe biden, you don't really like joe biden, and you're ticked off because he wouldn't get off the stage because the elders are really him. it's barack obama and his circle, axlerod, valerie jarrett, they all tried -- pete: all in on the biden administration, so why would they make the change? pete: working together as a team, it's going to be fun. it's three of us interviewing him, ping-ponging, you know, back and forth. lots of different topics, but we want to include yours. e-mail us in, let us know what you think. we're planning. will: a lots flown under the radar since a donald trump in new york city. policies that have been ushered in while attention has been focused elsewhereing things like allowing for american weapons to be used in -- [laughter] offensive attacks against russia in russia. finish but here's another one of the things that have been pushed forward while no one was paying that much attention, biden's prioritized $900 million for green school buses. everyone loves a yellow school bus according to kamala harris, now everyone can love a green yellow school buts. this, of course, is happening as a there is rising illiteracy rates and falling math scores across america. rachel: i think that the buses themselves need some scrutiny. so each bus costs about $400,000. by the way, that's money that's not going into the class room, per your point, will -- pete: that's an expensive bus. rachel: but there's other problems. they run on lithium batteries which are more likely to burst into flames, so that's a problem. the bus drivers need more training because the maintenance of an electric school bus is different than the maintenance of a normal bus. on top of that, evs don't work good in cold weather, so minnesota and wisconsin, i don't know what they're going to do. pete: that's a great point. rachel: and then there's not a lot of charging stations. so, you know, each a school will probably have to have their own charging station, which is expensive -- pete: of course they will. and mega donors to democrats will benefit handsomely from that. rachel: 100%. you're right, mega donors will benefit from it. it's all a green scam on top of $34 trillion in debt which is actually hurting the kids in school more. they're going to end up paying that credit card bill. will: take a look at those numbers. the real issue in education isn't gas-powered school buses, but it's 37% of fourth graders now below the basic reading level. pete: you know, kamala harris talks about how everybody loves yellow school buses? i don't. i don't. pray for every kid on a yellow school bus because, a, they're not being taught how to read and right proficiently, but also they're being indock the try nateeded. so i, once again, disagree just a little bit with our esteemed vice president. rachel: she's so out of touch, and those clips of her are u just unreal. pete: we had two, a parent and an expert on, a former chief of staff on the epa earlier. nicole neily with parents defending education,, and founder of it, as well as a second guest, mandy, former epa chief of staff. she knows about the green grift side of it. and they talked about a these school buses. listen. >> this investment into clean energy buses as they call it is an absolute waste and reflective of their misplaced priorities. this is just a gift to their donors that throws the health and the well-being of the american children under the bus in a a very unfortunate way. >> the kids can't read, and let's remember we just saw a huge drop in scores as a result of teachers unions pushing to keep schools closed for longer than they should have been. it disproportion gnatly hurt disadvantaged children. where were the equity warriors screaming? they were nowhere. shows how absolutely hypocritical they are. what could $900 million buy? if let's use that market to target intervention to bring those children up, not to give a handout to, as mandy said, the administration's friends. pete: well said. rachel: all right. that is well said. and is we're going to turn now to some headlines. deputies are searching for these suspects caught on camera opening fire on a home outside of san antonio this past week. they say the suspects fired nearly 80 bullets into the home. nobody was hurt and while no arrests have been announced yet, the local sheriff says the department has identified, quote, persons of interest. live nation says it was the victim of a cyber attack targeting ticketmaster users. the company confirming the attack in a new federal filing saying a criminal threat actor is selling user data on the dark web. no word on how many users were affected in this attack which comes days after a cyber crime group reportedly stole data from 500 million ticketmaster customers. live nation is investigating. jennifer lopez canceling her summer tour to spend more time at home. her first stop was going to be later this month in florida. she made the announcement yesterday saying, i'm completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. please know that i wouldn't do this if i didn't feel it was absolutely necessary. cancellation comes as lopez and her husband, ben after a fleck, could -- affleck, could reportedly be getting a divorce, so people wondering if it's about her love life or also a some of the sales have been soft for her tour as well. world war ii veterans got a hero's sendoff at dallas/fort worth international airport before flying to normandy to take part in the 800th anniversary of d-day. friends and family waving nags and cheering on members of the greatest generation. >> there's a camaraderie that you don't get any place else. we understand one another. i want the younger people, the younger generation to know what we did. rachel: american airlines flying more than 600 veterans and 2 -- 60 veterans and 2 rosie the riveters. once many france, the veterans will take part in a a wreath-laying ceremony -- pete: well done, dallas. will: i can promise that a veteran that at least some of the younger generation will know exactly what you to did. we can speak for those of us sitting on the couch, but i did my best this week with. you guys have given me a hard time about being in france, but i didn't just go to paris. we spent memorial day at normandy introducing my sons to this history. but i just want to give you guys a little bit concern i don't know if either of you have been -- rachel: i haven't. pete: if i haven't. will: obviously, we've seen the movies, we've seen saving private ryan, you can see the beginning of world warm ii with dunkirk -- world war ii, but i know it's cliche to say, seeing it in person. so we went, spent our first day or two there, and it is, i don't know how -- it's really, really hard to put into words. it's incredibly solemn. it is awe-inspiring, and i mean this and, again, or it just sounds cliche, it makes you so proud on to be american. rachel: yeah. will: so you stand there and, you know, england is just across the english channel, and you learn about everything that went into operation overlord. and operation overlord was massive of. i mean, i'm talking about spying, misinformation -- pete: deception, yep. will: they had the germans thinking they were going to go to a calais are which is way further up the coast. they had fake army, on-land blow-ups, you know? and, you know, here's another big -- these were kids. these were kids. they were 18 and 17 years old. when we went to point duhawk, you see there the german if pill boxes. it's on a 90-foot cliff, 225 army rangers took that a cliff, climbed it, scaled the cliff under hail of bullet fire, right, to take that. the worst of the fighting was omaha beach. we went to omaha beach. there's not a lot to see, to be honest, but you still feel it. that was the worst of the fighting, omaha, and it was americans. and you know what also a i thought about? i listen to a ton of podcasts, the germans. can you imagine how terrified the germans must have been? because we were going to win. we didn't know it at the time, but it was overwhelming force. they don't know it's coming to their coast, and they wake up and look out and they see the horizon covered many ships. and they thought they'd is have support, which never came because it wasn't are there, and all of these soldiers heading to the beach. and those soldiers encountered horrific losses because they just bot the high -- got the high position, but many one of the pictures you see what really brought home is inside the bunker you can see the ceiling burned? pete: charred. will: that's flame throws, man. you see it in the movies. to see history made that real in that a moment, i don't know, it's incredible. i think every american should make their way to normandy. rachel: what did your boys take quay from this? i'm curious. will: i drive history a lot because i love history, is they're used to a hearing podcasts, and i'm sure some of it's, like, another one? because i listen to some boring podcasts. but i don't think this was boring for them. i think it hit home. and then you walk the american cemetery, and it's just rows and rows of crosses. it's gorgeous, by the way. but it's rows and and rows of crosses, and i think they definitely appreciate seeing this part of america. pete: it's so cool. good on you for doing that. we just did a national one, you go into a national cemetery like that and as far as the eye can see, pick one tombstone, look up the story, kids take that in. if you can go to normandy, do it. it's on my bucket list, and and this is going to be big ceremonies because it's the -- rachel: right. isn't martha maccallum going? (♪) and enxtra for focus and clarity. centrum, powered by clinically studied ingredients. ♪ rachel: now to the southern border where texas officials arrest two dozen illegal immigrants caught trespassing on private profit among them, get this, a 12-year-old and a 99-year-old travel -- 9-year-old traveling all alone. and there are they're just a couple of the nearly 74,000 unaccompanied minors streaming into the u.s. in this fiscal year alone. here with reaction is lieutenant christopher oliveras with the the president department of -- texas department of public safety. gosh, it seems like every time the i talk to you, we get another image like this. you've sent some oaf them to me in the past, a little boy by himself on a ranch, scared to death. why is? not, like, the number one issue just on the humanitarian issue of unaccompanied minors? look at these numbers. 74,000 this year? i think last year 137,000. this is, this is beyond a crisis, lieutenant. >> it is, rachel. good morning. of course, those stats are very shocking, very disturbing. we've talked about this, you and i, over the years about, you know, regarding children and why aren't we talking about unaccompanied children more when we talk about the border crisis right now. of course, we're still seeing unaccompanied children coming across the border, and that particulargroup, there was 19 minors. there was juvenile, also young children amongst that group that came across the border by themselves. and these children, they come across can, they have a piece of paper with an address and a phone number, and that's i. and from there, of course, we turn them over to federal authorities k and who knows where they end up through the process. but what i can tell you is when our personnel, dps, state troopers or anybody from our department comes across any type of child coming across the border, we make sure that a there's no signs of abuse or mistreatment or even sexual assault, we'll have a specialized investigative unit, which would be our texas rangers, and we can investigate. again, we never know exactly what happens to these children. of course, they're scared. i'm sure they know if they talk or say something, they're worried about their family or anybody else in the united states that could be harmed, so they're very vulnerable. and i think right now the federal government's not taking this into -- making it a priority to focus on unaccompanied children. but, again, we're still seeing it, it's still a problem. it is a reality of the border situation right now. rachel: yeah. we've had border poll tell us in the past that the young girls coming across loaded up with birth control pills because they know they're probably going to get assaulted along the path. but also just as troubling, the ngos who are handing these children over to illegals. obviously, they're not vetted, they're illegal. so this is just absolutely -- it's child abuse, and our government is complicit in this. >> it truly is child abuse with, right? of course, we talk about these ng if os as well, right? they are complicit with the situation right now and, you know, we don't know exactly what happens with these children in that process and where they end up with these sponsors that are not properly vetted. we don't know who they are and where they end up. there was reports early on9 that the federal government lost track of over 85,000 children, you know? that's really, you know, unheard of to even think about that. and, of course, if you look at the years prior to 2021, there was this outrage, you know, from the prior administration regarding chi
