reporters at the courthouse, katelyn polantz has been watching people coming in and out of black suvs all day, walking in and out of doors. what's the latest you hear, katelyn, about the news we're not going to get an indictment today? >> reporter: yeah, so what we are hearing today just that there was a grand jury in. we know that, we know that there was special counsel's office prosecutors right here in the courthouse in secret proceedings. they hadn't been in earlier this week. they had a flurry of witnesses last week. as the afternoon wore on, typically in the afternoons, that's when the grand juries meeting here on a daily basis looking at cases make their returns. they have approved indictments, and those indictments go to a judge for sign off and get into the court system. there were no indictments handed out today from the grand jury to any judge in the courthouse. and there are none expected to happen today.

greek authorities have ordered all archeological sites, including the acropolis to close for the afternoons through monday. cnn meteorologist chad myers joins us now. chad, i've asked this question two weekends in a row. any relief in sight? and i guess we will get the same answer. >> you're going to get the same answer that you got last weekend and the week before. no end in sight. no. these warnings or watches or advisories put out aren't put out because the temperatures will be summer-type warm. you have to be a threshold above that to get these warnings out there. so above where you should be, across the gulf coast. certainly with the excessive heat warnings in the southwest. we are going to see significant thunderstorms fire up along the gulf coast today. if you're having a beach day today, watch out for lightning, in the heat of the day. certainly that is going to be a likelihood, not a possibility, but a probability. think of vegas, all the way to 115 later this afternoon.
