from his january 1st hospitalization, makes no mention of that december 22nd stay, which of course we all have questions about why the pentagon did not also notify the white house and the president when the secretary was in the hospital overnight. guys. >> natasha, you've been doing great reporting on this, so many unanswered questions still, which is remarkable. thank you. this morning investigators believe it was a gas explosion that caused the blast at a hotel in fort worth, texas. just look at that devastation. 21 people were hurt, some critically. thankfully no deaths have been reported, but this blast sent debris into the street downtown as firefighters rushed to rescue people who were actually trapped in the basement. the fire department says 26 of the rooms there were occupied. overnight crews went room to room trying to make sure no one else was trapped. officials say the 104-year-old building was renovated recently and some work was going on at the time of the explosion. a federal law enforcement source tells cnn there's no indication that there is any criminal involvement here. the state of south carolina

i see that. most americans see that so, what are the democrats going to do going forward? i can tell you i would love to run against biden. i'm not going to let him hang out in his basement. we would run him ragged across the country. i would love to be in a debate with biden and hold him accountable for his policies. the reality is there is a lot of talk. that's part of the reason i did it on fox with sean hannity. i debated the governor of california. gavin newsom. people are like why are you doing that? one, if i can get on national tv for 90 minutes i'm going to take that opportunity. two, i do think you, as republican voters, need to ask which candidate would be able to go toe to toe with some of these other democrats who they may run. donald trump has not been willing to debate at all this time. we don't know how he would fair. obviously he struggled against biden in that first debate in 2020. that's just unfortunately the fact. i'm ready to go against anyone they throw at us. but there is definitely a possibility that it is not

side after these things? what did he do after this trial today, after this hearing today? >> logistically i think the courtroom in d.c. is a little bit more of a challenge because of the way it's structured and the way that they get him in. they took him in through the garage, and you can't have any cameras, obviously, inside of the courthouse. there wasn't an opportunity for him to sort of walk out to the cameras and, you know, the secret service obviously wouldn't like that if you went out to the cameras. there were cameras outside. there weren't a lot of supporters. i saw one guy walking around with a flag, at least, that i saw when i was outside the courthouse. but he went in and out. he's brought through the back panels to the courthouse, you know, i think that he was basically not seen within the courthouse, except within that courtroom and brought actually back out through the basement there. afterwards, he ended up speaking at a nearby hotel, sort of had to have an off-site location for him to have a press conference because i think, you know, the reason that he goes to these things, really, is to get that

legal issues, criminal trials, january of 6th. it will be a referendum on him. it will be a referendum on a lot of these issues that are not going to put us in a position to hold biden accountable. biden will be in the basement. it may not be biden. they may subhim out for someone else. we know that's a possibility. either way, it lets the democrats off the hook. i think this election needs to be a referendum on their failed policies. and we need to offer a positive vision to turn this country around. and that's what i remember. and i think there is a reason to believe why the media has been easy on him relative. they used to hate him. he was like the worst thing ever. i think they want to see 2024 be all about these things. and i think we have an opportunity to choose what we want the election to be about. and you can get behind a candidate like me that has a history of delivering on policies that are important to conservative voters. and somebody that is actually beaten the left on all these things. i look in washington now. they just failed on another spending bill. they are increasing spending

prosecutor, i wanted to convince the police, i wanted to convince my wife's family. i wanted them to know and look at me and hear me. >> tom started by answering some still nagging questions, like how did a yellow plastic bag with shotgun shells in it get into tom's basement? >> did you have dunham's bags in your home? >> yes. >> how do you explain the bag in the basement, with the shotgun shells in it? >> they weren't ours. that bag is probably ours. my fingerprints are on the bag. but three clean shotgun shells -- in my basement? it just doesn't make sense. >> you have no idea where those came from? >> absolutely not. >> tom said he has never owned or used a shotgun. >> never. wouldn't know how to operate it. wouldn't know the first thing about it. >> tom schaeffer then asked why tom failed to call his home when dar didn't show up at the birthday celebration.
