over 24 hours. i spent all night all through the morning scrolling through my phone looking for family members trying to get in touch with my mom. i know that she's safe, i know where she is. but, like i said to another interviewer earlier, my voice was broadcast to you before i got to speak to my mom and let her know i was safe. the infrastructure here is not capable of handling this kind of tragedy. >> dustin, we're looking at images of lahaina that we've just received just from the harbor. and it looks like a war zone. it looks like it's been bombed out. it is like an apocalypse. i know you just heard there people talking about just the shock of how fast it moved. these are shopping centers just completely destroyed. tell me about the moment you realized the fire was spreading towards you, were you also just shocked by the speed? >> um, i wasn't home when the

that. what was that like for not just your, you know, your friends and family that you know in this business, but entire communities built around, you know, the business of bringing in lobsters? >> right. i mean, the towns and coastal communities all rely almost solely on the lobster industry. when you can't make an adequate business model to predict how you are going to even run the following year, based off of these egregious government regulations, it makes it incredibly difficult. i mean that, could completely wipe out the coastal economy and towns in this area. i mean, and i would also like to just give the credit where it's due. and thank the maine lobster man's association for hard work and bringing this case forward. the state of maine backing us and other fisheries. >> will: really quickly, dustin, what changes now. you have had doom and gloom for several years. got this ruling and look forward to the future. do you see a rebound now for your industry? >> i sure hope so. i think there has been a huge sigh sigh of relief.
have on these whales. what do you think was behind their effort to regulate your business? >> i mean, it's -- i'm sure there is a combination of things. but it also doesn't help when we have these huge environmental groups that are constantly suing the government to come after us. i mean, that has been the largest push is an attack on our fishery by these radical environmental groups. >> will: and, dustin, i'm curious, what is the argument, the impact that you have on right whales? worst case scenario, assumption modeling. we were facing a 98% reduction in the next 10 years. basically over bad scientific analysis. >> and what was the impact then with those regulations? i mean, you said it was doom and gloom and the business the last couple of years is just terrible. take me behind the scenes on
