and women that want to join to fill our ranks and always have. >> lawrence: real quickly, pete, when did this sort of push start? how long has this been going on? >> pete: started under obama but on hyper speed under biden. trump paused it said i want to get rid of woke military. i believe he will and recruiting will come back as a result of that lawrence, there are other reasons why, too. so, not just the ads. you saw the vaccine mandate pushed out a lot of conservative christian, you know, folks that by principle didn't want to do that the debacle in afghanistan. they looked at how our military was treat and how that was handled. then, of course, military families, lawrence. we were talking about this before the segment. 32% in 2023 of military families are recommending that the next generation serve. that's way down. >> lawrence: why is that happening? because i hear from sf guys. obviously my family who all served told me not to serve. >> pete: yeah. >> lawrence: people that love the country but encouraging their kids not to serve. why is that happening?
back this current president because america can't take much more of this while fewer and fewer people decide to sign up for military that is unappetizing and unattractive to people with promising futures. >> lawrence: you read part in the full screen. >> steve: both sides. >> lawrence: what the left is doing to the right. i would push back just a little bit. i understand what he was saying. and i get the memes and all of that but we can go -- we can get past the memes and saying mean things about the other side. i think at its core, the real issue is targeting your political opponents. can you say, this is a blood sport and the former president talked about this. he says he looks at it as an mma find fight, they duke it out and hug each other at the end of it. there is one thing that is different this time around, and this is putting your political opponents in jail, or at least trying to put them in jail.
