very real concern. and part of the concerns expressed by the white house and state department here yesterday are precisely as you say. but on the one hand, china appears to be sort of expressing that it can play a role as an intermediary, as a peace-bringer. but wang yi, the chinese foreign minister, when he spoke at the security conference yesterday, he said that legitimate security concerns must be addressed. must be acknowledged by the europeans. the implication, i think, to everyone here is, he means the pretext for which russia invaded ukraine -- russia, putin, claiming it was under threat from nato -- must be part of the peace formula here. i think from the white house perspective, the state department perspective, and for many here, there's a sense that china is saying one thing but maybe doing another. that's going to get a lot of scrutiny. and of course, the warning from secretary of state blinken to wang yi last night that that is a very, very bad path to go
what has joe biden done positively for the country and how has he harmed us at the southern border? >> these are crises that if you took each one of them individually, that could really destroy a presidency. there's another issue you have been brought up, two-thirds of the support that joe biden is getting in his approvals are based on competent management of chinese corona and unfortunately that's what we're seeing all over the country, going to be all kinds of new problems with shutdowns and mandates and unhappy voters and americans and you put all these together, we don't have overseas in these hot spots, prosperity is slipping through our fingers as inflation is a thief in the night and we have a president who unfortunately can only focus on these things for a few hours a day, a job where you have to work every moment of every day. >> absolutely, should be in the oval office right now. from the state department
did nothing wrong, so what is the big picture that should concern americans from a state department perspective? >> i think a concern, you know, you put the president's conduct regarding foreign policy in this greater question about his ability to continue to serve as president of the united states effectively. you know, certainly, go back to last december when president erdogan was talking to president trump, and he said, hey, syria, it's all yours! and while we might dismiss some of these wild comments that the president makes, you know, world leaders listen intently to what he says. and so, here we are months later, where the president erdogan calls up trump and said, hey, i'm going in to syria, and the president's response is, well, i'm going to step aside and you can do what you're going to do. you know, again, pompeo yesterday in tennessee said, hey, this is all part of a grand plan to right-size the posture of america in the middle east. i think most serious people
lifted the embargo on cuba? >> if confirmed, yes i would. >> could you also commit that you would advice the president to reverse many if not all cuba regulations an executive orders regarding cuba recently submitted in 2014? >> as indicated i expect a comprehensive review of all executive orders and from the state department perspective would want to examine carefully the criteria which cuba was delist from the the list of neig nations for terrorism and wlo t whether or not the circumstances led to that list. >> you do not currently have a list of terrorist sponsors -- >> i would use the expertise of
