responded to that call. >> phil, i want to dissect all this information a little bit more in detail here. four days later, after the murders. are you surprised that this guy was found less than 20 miles away from where the murders happened? >> no, let's go through a simple time line. this is a crime of passion, ana. what that tells me is that the individual who did this crime didn't think in advance of an escape route. if you don't think of an escape route, you can't really use a car because obviously somebody's going to recognize the license plate. you can't get cash from an atm. you can't use a credit card, you can't show up at a convenience store. if you don't plan your route in advance your options are going to be limited to local and to people you know or to family members. that obviously gives a big opportunity for investigators who are going to go through, if you will, a phone tree of connections and family members, start spreading out to determine where the individual might have fled in the immediate aftermath. without planning this, ana, there's no way or very little

i'm sure they are looking closely at anyone he knows. any relationships he can establish with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors. i'm sure they have been contacted by now and many of them are probably under tight surveillance to see if those are the folks he reaches out to for help and support. it's very, very hard to go on the run without a support network and a lot of money. and it's unlikely he had any of that in place before it happened. john mentioned, a crime of passion. it's unlikely he planned for any of this. he is probably very capable of getting himself across the board. he has done it a few times in the past. but he has to get there. he needs transportation. he needs cash to keep himself afloat and communication with a network to keep the going, and that is where the weaknesses come in. >> yeah, is there any commonalty with how people being chased like this end up being caught? >> there are many commonalties.

other, they were apparently riding back in a car together. your thoughts on these developments. >> well, exactly right, and you are exactly right. when you first heard it, you thought at the moment it's a random act of violence, and certainly it's not. one of the first clues it was not a random act of violence is the method of the killing. it was knife wounds that led to bob lee's death, and immediately law enforcement starts to look at, if a knife is used as opposed to other weapons, they say it might be a crime of passion, not necessarily a random act. the first clue. and the second clue, we know bob lee had consciousness at some point prior to his death and he was taken to the hospital, he tried to flag cars along the way, so he may be able to actually identify momeni that he was the assailant. he's still an alleged killer. don't know if he will plead or get convicted.
