any thoughts on howard dean's remark? >> i think what he's trying to do is send a message out to his buddies in the press corp this is the direction we are going to take we need you to help pile on. i think the american people are going to see through this. they know this is about a political chess game from the left. we are not trying to be political now. we really are wanting to solve this problem. >> greta: it is very troubling. again i don't have tapes from the republican caucus. dean went on to say, if i was head of dnc i would be quietly rooting for it, meaning the showdown. he said i know who is going to get blamed. we've been down this road before. the american people are trying to figure out now keep their jobs and pay their mortgages. when you hear a party, i said the democrats got caught today, i don't know what the republicans are doing, having code words of extreme, and you've got the former head of the dnc saying he's rooting
