On Dec. 19, the Jane Bain Alliance Chapter of the National Society Daughters of American Revolution took part in a national event in which wreaths were placed on the graves of fallen veterans.
As part of the Wreaths Across America effort, with the generosity of business and individual sponsors, 170 wreaths were laid on veteran’s graves.
A ceremony before the wreath-laying included the Marlboro Volunteers providing a 21-gun salute and bugler Dan Carlisle. Beth Zbasnik managed the placement of wreaths.
The Jain Bain Alliance Chapter of NSDAR gives its thanks to Jen Baxter, office manager, Alliance Parks & Rec/Alliance City Cemetery, and Mitch Kirby, cemetery foreman, for their help in making this first event a memorable occasion.
