this is "the ingraham angle" from washington tonight. breaking just moments ago the house just passed a stop gap bill to prevent a government shutdown. wasn't that the whole reason they got rid of kevin mccarthy? oh, okay. well, we are going to bring you more on that later in the show. and on the foreign policy front, biden sits down with xi tomorrow for what is sure to be, the long american surrender. plus, capitol hill turns into the thunder dome. we'll get into all of that later on. but, first, license to kill, that's the focus of tonight's angle. ♪ now, growing up as a kid in the 1970s, there were plenty of changes happening in society. there was the withdrawal from vietnam. there was nixon resigning. a gas lines. i remember those. and the jimmy carter malaise. with all of that, i don't remember ever hearing about storiess of mobs committing criminal acts. christmas season more fedex deliveries you a over. now truck drivers aren't just worried about getting packages there on time? a little bit robbery of a fedex delivery truck. the driver described the heist in detail telling multiple cars blocked him off at the red light on the corner of west malory avenue and south memphis around 8:30 saturday night. then they broke into thinks truck and stole $100,000 worth of other people's deliveries. leaving behind empty boxes and putting our city further on edge? >> of course no one arrested so far. and that lack of consequences is what has propelled other ram pages nationwide. chicago has seen its fair share. [shouting] earlier this facilitate a hundred or so thugs ransacked a store in philadelphia. how casually they ended up getting into this pharmacy, is that correct everything, taking everything they could. it's chilling. and it's the same mo every time. everyone in a mask or a hoodie it, a hat. remember it's totally normal for people to wear surgical masks and rubber gloves in public. just do that in total, as of today, over 70 arrests have been made there. here are some of the s mull sho. accused mostly in 20's and 30's. mostly minorities, mainly african-american. then in vegas, a horrific attack caught on video, jonathan lewis age 17 was beaten by a mob at his school. now, as you see, we are blurring the faces because most of these attackers are minors. the victim here was white. the attackers appear to be black. of course, most of the media ignoring that information because crime is crime no matter who is committing it. obviously. but when you have a media that desperately trying to help pull joe biden across the finish line in 2024 and doesn't want to admit that we have a major crime problem in this country, you soon learn that the press takes every potential story about crime and turns it into a story about race. so ask yourself why does race get prominently mentioned when the criminal is white and the victim is black. >> we're kicking things off with what the folks are calling bloody saturday and the alabama sweet tea party. that's right. i'm talking about the alabama brawl that took place after white men attacked a black boat. >> group white men attacking him before it escalated into a bigger fight. >> laura: it turned out that racism was not a motivating factor in that fight at all. jim kittrell, the captain, of the harriet 2 told the daily beast that he thought race might have been a factor in the initial attack on his co-captain but the resulting melee was not a black and white thing. now, the media's first instinct is always to ignore the race of the criminals unless white people are the perpetrators. remember, that one of biden's themes for 2024, one of his main themes throughout his entire administration is that white people in the united states are fundamentally of a racist and evil history. so, the media are seeking every opportunity to promote that message. this is why black-on-black crime, the majority of both violent criminals and their victims in the united states are black and black women are especially hard hit. that story is largely ignored. black women account for 25% of crime victims in most categories. and, again, mostly ignored by the press. kudos for cbs for doing that report. and in new orleans, black people make up the majority of murder victims. but, look, it's not just in those two places, going back for decades, liberal sociologists have posited that the disproportionate violence committed by black men is linked to the violence that had been perpetrated against them during the slave period. now, this idea is nothing new. that the past -- unfair treatment of people in the past justifies or explains future bad behavior in other words victimhood pays. the problem is as the great walter williams once argued the world is full of victims. >> we're sit down and decide who, which people have the most destruction, the most oppression in the world, i couldn't come up with a name of the you know, the turks tried to will armenians, the nazis with the jews. the irish and the catholic, the huginos, persecution. nothing unique about blacks. if you went to look at history and decide who was persecuted the most, it's a useless battle. >> laura: but in their desperate efforts to smear america as a fundamentally racist and easel country, our leaders have created a generation that believes it has a license to vandalize, steal, beat, and sometimes even kill. their homelife, the popular culture, even schools are teaching them toxic, depressing lessons about race and the american experience. now, the floyd riots, they taught them that burning and loot going done in large enough numbers will go unpunished. cite underlying racial agree advance and maybe can you expect leniency. as long as you can claim to hate america, the media, and the democrats, will generally back you up. this ne-yo marxist dynamic has done huge damage to racist in the united states and minority around working class communities of all background already struggling to make ends meet. >> somebody is going to end up getting killed, an innocent bystander. you have so many people that are good citizens that are carrying on because they are afraid of this stuff coming to their doors out here in the street. >> laura: but, remember, the biden administration and its supporters in the press don't actually care about what's best for minorities or what's best for any american for that matter. they care about one thing. winning re-election and staying in power. and that's not easy to do when crime is such a problem. so they plan to solve that problem, not by stopping crime, but by blaming america. so they will smear the founders. they will smear republicans, the police, anyone they can think of and in the hopes of scaring folks into voting for biden. they certainly don't want minority communities to be confident and prosperous. they want them so scared that they will vote for biden, rather than voting for peace and prosperity. safety. so we have to keep reaching out and telling the truth about america, about crime, until that message breaks through and once we have no leadership, we can -- once new leadership, we can once again teach the ancient lesson that crime does not pay. and that's the angle. >> laura: joining me now is kevin mcgriery, co-founder of every black life matters and president of the frederick douglass foundation of california and legal commentator. kevin, you know, it's extremely sad for everyone the victims mostly but also for a lot of these young people in urban america, especially. that victimhood pays and violence is a perfectly fine instinct. what has to happen next? >> yeah, thank you for having me, laura. it is -- what we're seeing is a complete undermining of all of the systems. we see the undermining of family. the undermining of education by our children being propagandized to and brainwashed into thinking that everything has to do supremacists taken over all of the money and all of the jobs, therefore, you are a victim. you know? you got to go out and get yours because they're the ones who are taking your opportunity. and these are messages that have been postulated for the past two generations, i would say. and right now they are really hitting strides. this is all part of a, you know, a marxist kind of -- cultural marxist kind of stream that we are in now where we see the outcomes that are wholly disproportionate, we don't see certain types of crimes being, as you have so eloquently stated. we don't see certain types of crimes being talked about because they -- it it's an inconvenient narrative. everything is being narrative driven and they want -- if they can, to try to get the races aggrieved and clashing and bitter and hateful towards one another because that is and produces another cog, if you will, that really undermines american and ultimately, you know, provides a system that is in collapse. when it's in collapse then we can go into the globalist, communist stuff. >> laura: horace, things have gotten so bad in washington, d.c. our nation's capitol that the mayor, muriel bowser has been forced to try to respond to this crisis. this is what she said. >> i will declare public emergencies to allow the government's response, special to procuring services to be expedited. those issues are opioid overdoses. and the second issue is youth violence. >> laura: horace, she is kind of stating the problem that we already know exists. but, what after that? you know, d.c. is just -- has become enn. large part an unlivable city because people are scared in d.c. and now it's an emergency? i say it was an emergency a long time ago, wasn't it? >> you left out the most exciting clip where they are going to give out apple airtags so that when your car gets stolen, you can track it down. and, great, let me figure this out. i'm a law-abiding citizen, criminal took my car, i'm going to go and meet my criminal. what good can come from that? now, i just want to say this broadly speaking. this ne-yo marxist cultural attack on america had managed to do what covid couldn't. and that is it has led to a quicker loss of life for black americans. the age at which blacks are dying because of the crime wave is dropping relative to the rest of the population. in fact in '21 and '22 the centers for disease control listed for black americans something that it hasn't listed for any other group. it says loss of life by homicide, one of the top 10 causes of death not forations, not for whites, not for native americans but for black americans. there is good news though because the open season that is leading to the cvs closing in your community so that grandma has to take a bus to pick up her prescriptions and it costs more money at this new location the good news is that black americans are telling anyone who will listen they are no longer staying on the democrat plantation. record numbers of black americans are showing up on social media, and they are telling pollsters they are not going along with this. they want the america that their -- that our founders fought for. >> laura: all right, kevin, democrats to that point have been beginning to hemorrhage black voters here is how the biden campaign though responded to what seems to be a new reality. >> talk about the maga extremists who want to roll back the progress that we have been able to achieve. our focus on the campaign has to be on telling this message over the course of the next 12 months. we have to be honest about the brick wall of maga extremism run into when we are trying to get things done for the american people. >> laura: kevin, does he mean the maga extremism that led to record home ownership by african-americans or rising median incomes or, you know, an enforced border? is was that the maga extremism? i guess we will take that maga extremism. your reaction is that going to work? >> these ridiculous tropes do not work. i mean, the reality is your average black family is feeling it. we are feeling not double dignity inflation. in some cases 3 x inflation, right? every time we go to the store. every time we are filling up our cars, we are feeling it. those elderly black americans that are on fixed income, they are feeling it. i mean, they have to, somehow, accommodate an $800 a month hit because that's your average american citizen is paying $800 a month more under the bidenomics than we did in the prior administration. it's about $9,600 a year. so, everyone is feeling it. it's pervasive. and that what happens we are feeling. forget the tropes about maga this and that. that's ridiculous. we understand what we have to endure. what we are currently feeling our ability and progeny not being able to buy homes and invest. s because of interest rates being so high. all of this pervasive effect. >> laura: sorry to interrupt but horace, real quickly, will we see a significant erosion, i would say 5%. erosion of the black vote in 2024. toward republican? >> blacks are going to vote in numbers that are going to exceed 15%. it could be close to 20%. it will definitely exceed 15%, making states like pennsylvania, even new jersey, difficult for the left to be able to carry. but they own this. the progressives created this heart break in the black america. and black americans are standing up they are saying no more. china's president xi just touched down in a newly produce spruced up san francisco in the last hour. if you want to know how president biden was warming up to the big meeting with the chinese strong man. wait until we show you that video, next. s. my wife magda and i have been married for 39 years. about three or four years ago, i wasn't feeling as if i was as sharp as i used to be. i wanted to try something that was over-the-counter. i saw the prevagen commercials. after a short amount of time taking prevagen, i started noticing a difference-- that i'm remembering this, i'm remembering that. i stopped taking prevagen and i found myself slacking back so i jumped right back on it. i feel as if it's brought me back to the good 'ol days. prevagen. at stores everywhere without a prescription. this is our last chance to help save thousands of holocaust survivors who are suffering in the former soviet union today. the needs that these forgotten jews have are something beyond anything you can imagine. have you eaten this morning? i ate the carrot, so i ate half of it yesterday. and this is what she ate in two days, one carrot. please pray for me! the international fellowship of christians and jews began this ministry to help elderly jews living in horrible poverty around the world. we urgently need your gift of $25 now to help provide one survival food box with all of the foods they critically need for their diet for one month. when you call right now, your gift's impact will be doubled to help save lives. i have a tremendous love for israel and the jewish people. this is why i'm partnering with the fellowship. it gives me a way to authentically bless jewish people in need around the world. i believe in god, but i sometimes feel maybe he forgot me. perhaps you could tell my story and i will find a matching soul that would understand. i face hunger again. please don't delay. call, scan, or go online now to help rush one survival food box to a holocaust survivor. when you call right now, your gift's impact will be doubled to help save lives. this is what god wants from us. just feed the hungry. if you hear god's voice, i'm asking you to act now. do it when it's on your heart. i pray that they'll know in their final months that they're not alone. >> the boss just touched down in san francisco i'm talking about xi jinping who landed a little more man an hour ago. he has agreed to give the american president an audience tomorrow. of course, the "new york times" is desperately trying to convince all of you that we actually benefit from az russian collusion china. they called our relationship the world's most successful joint venture and urged against decoupling saying divorce is not a practical option. the united states and china, the world's two largest economies are intertwined even as geopolitical tensions fray their ties. these two countries still depend on each other. and as the media pushes a u.s. china love affair, how is biden prepping for the big face to face? >> you know, i have seen firsthand what the reports make clear the devastating toll of climate change and existential threat to all of us and is the ultimate threat to humanity joining me is john ratcliffe. john, the climate change thing is just hysterically funny, sad but funny. didn't our own chairman of the joint chiefs say that china was our biggest threat that we face but joe biden says it's climate change. >> yeah, i don't want to say climate change isn't real but on a worldwide threat assessment the intelligence community i think when i was dni had climate change on page 34 of a 34 page document. china was on page one because our intelligence tells us clearly they're the greatest geopolitical threat. laura, even if you believe that climate change was the threat that joe biden and aoc and others say, you know, all of the green new deal taxes and everything that joe biden talks about isn't going to make a dent as long as the world's biggest carbon emissions polluter china part of agreements make any dent in those issues. what is worrisome about this summit that's taking place is old football coach bill parcel says your record are what you say you are. joe biden is 0 for everything china. day one democrats getting rebuked on u.s. soil to getting the middle finger on covid. to say a spy balloon that after it completed its mission and it was finally shot down, we have been chasing them to have conversations with us. this really seems like the culmination of the biden begging tour where he has been sending his cabinet members over to beg for this meeting. and now, you know, we're going to have this sitdown tomorrow where, you know, it's not even just a matter of having low expectations, it's this idea that we have nothing to gain and everything to lose when joe biden is the one negotiating on behalf of the american people. >> now, john president did speak earlier today about this watch. >> we are not trying to decouple from china. what we're trying to do is change the relationship for the better. from my perspective, if, in fact, the chinese people who are in trouble right now economically. if the average citizen in china was able to have a decent paying job, that benefits them and it benefits all of us. >> laura: okay. the funniest thing about that is the wind turbines, you couldn't see it, john, but they are spinning in a graphic behind him. i'm like wind bag and turbines that are made in china by the way. i thought there was so much irony and those comments in the back drop. it seems to me that though made a decision long ago because climate change was their number one priority they were never going to use their leverage that we obviously have laura "new york times" headline, successful joint venture and they're a friendly competitor, look, the only people that believe that are the same people that would tell you bidenomics is good for the economy and is making their lives better. the bottom line is, you know, this joint venture is one where one partner is robbed, the other one blind. what our intelligence and the facts tell us is that a rising china has been built on the intellectual property theft and economic and military espionage and the trillions of dollars over the years. and, you know, this just really underscores that joe biden and this administration has been soft on china, just as they have been soft everywhere with all of our adversaries, iran and russia, china advanced around the globe, their positions have improved since joe biden has been president and it's why china will be working to influence and interfere the election in 2024. they want joe biden to continue to be a weak u.s. president. hour
