Revealing how americans feel about those decisions and the court itself. here s abc s alex presha. reporter: tonight, republicans taking a victory lap after a week of repeated blows to the biden administration handed down by the conservative majority supreme court. this was a fantastic win for individual liberty and freedom. reporter: presidential candidate nikki haley praising the court s decision to strike down affirmative action in college admissions, a decision 52% of americans approve of, according to our new abc news poll. democrats predicting university systems will adapt despite the ruling. what the universities are going to do in reaction to this is they re going to look at other ways to provide diversity into their student body. this is not over yet. reporter: as for the court s decision to allow a creative business to refuse to serve lgbtq customers, 43% of americans approve. as a lawyer and someone who s watched this for a long time, i think justice gorsuch made a decision that protects all of our first amendment rights. reporter: but the biden administration today questioning the merit of the case.
