where things were in 1993 and where they were in 1999 in favor of gun control verse expanded gun rights, and where they are today. in '93, it was 57% in favor of some sort of gun control. look at this line graph. it now crosses where more people are in favor of expanded gun rights than they are gun control. colin, you've decided to join the brady campaign after what you went through at virginia tech. virginia tech -- we have similar circumstances, the tucson shooting had to do with a mentally ill shooter. at virginia tech it was a mentally ill person, john hinckley, it was a mentally ill person. what's been the challenge, particularly on this. which know about this issue of gun rights and they don't want any contraction here. but there hasn't even been any luck with dealing with mentally ill folks and preventing them from getting guns. >> you're right.
