Spending the savings? they are spending down those savings. at the beginning of the pandemic we spend trillions of dollars on stimulus checks other measures to keep americans in afloat in the labor market. those savings are now dwindling and actually from the feds perspective obviously it sends really difficult and crass, let s just put it like this. from the perspective of the fed and inflation and control it s actually a good thing. we are seeing big renormalization about people are spending. this revenge spending, or bench ravel you may have heard of it. or participated yourself. and that has a really really normalized. and that is a very healthy thing. it is leading the decline in inflation and everyone else was so worried about for so long. but it is being supplanted because of that was just dropping off a cliff, right. that s all it is happening in the economy. then we could have a recession. but it s being balanced out by the surge in investment as businesses are investing in expanding and that is keeping the economy going and that is a really positive development. so that is why the fed chairs are no longer
