pro-palestinian demonstrators scaling the gates in front of the white house weekend as anti-semitism spikes across the country. just as jared kushner told us right here last week with. >> one of the ironies is that as an american jew, you're safer in saudi arabia right now than you are on a college campus like columbia university. i spoke at the conference, they allowed me to speak freely. maria: but as attacks on jews rise and anti-semitism spikes, the biden administration creates a plan to stop islamophobia and puts kamala harris in charge of it. coming up, former housing and development secretary and retired neuroto prosurgeon dr. ben carson on a divided america and why he is endorsing donald trump's return to the white house as the form former leaves joe -- leads joe biden in five of the six swing states despite four indictments, a gag order and ahead of testimony tomorrow. it's all right here, right now on "sunday morning futures." ♪ ♪ maria: and we begin this sunday morning with potential corruption at the highest levels. house oversight committee chairman james comer revealing new evidence this week of what he says is influence peddling and potential bribery by joe biden and his family. the latest evidence is this check in 2017 which joe biden received, a personal check from james and sara rah biden, for $40,000 which comer says was laundered money from cefc china energy which, of course, is backed by the chinese communist party. now, in that deal hunter biden and a cefc associate allegedly received $5 million from the cc cp-linked energy company with hunter or biden wiring $4 # 90,000 of that money to to a company he controlled. james and sara biden hen withdraw $50,000 from their company, and they deposit the money into their personal bank account with the couple then cutting a check to joe biden for $40,000 listing it as a loan payment. the transaction allegedly the same business with dealing which joe biden was listed as the big guy to the receive 10% i of all monies in an e-mail sent by biden family associate james gil, ear. the check is obviously 10% of the initial $40 to 90,000 -- 400,000 paid to the hunter biden. joining me now is house oversight committee chairman, congressman james comer. mr. chairman, thanks very much for being here this morning. >> good morning. maria: is that $40,000 check in step with with 10% for the big guy? >> it sure is. and if you go back to that e-mail that you just put on the screen, tony bobulinski -- who was also supposed to be in on that deal with cefc and the bidens where joe biden was supposed to the get 10% according to hunter biden -- it matches up perfectly. we traced the $40,000 check that joe biden received all the way back to that whatsapp message where hunter biden claimed his father was sitting beside him where he was shaking down the chinese operative. that's where that $40,000 was triggered. we, just a few weeks after that text message, that $40,000 landed in joe biden's pocket after the bidens laundered it. but that money came from china, putt evidence that joe biden -- further evidence that joe biden benefited from his family's influence-peddling scheme. maria: well, you have now released a lot of evidence with regard to this situation whether it be witness testimony, 176 suspicious activity reports, now these checks going directly to the joe biden. he says he never discussed business with his son, was never in business with his son. are you planning on calling hem in and getting subpoenas out? >> absolutely. we've always planned on doing that. this has been a painful process, maria. we've been obstructed, we've been fought at every turn not just by the bidens' big money attorneys, but also by the federal government. the the irs has on victim thed, the, the the oj has obstructed, the treasury has obstructed, fbi has obstructed, and the democrats on the oversight committee have pretty much been the biden legal defense team. but through it all, we have followed the money. with we've done in the right way. we've subpoenaed bank accounts, and now we have enough bank accounts, maria, where we can actually trace the money. we can connect the dots. because as you've shown on the screen with this series of transactions, that's caused money laundering. and this was a very organized criminal enterprise by the biden family. this wasn't just some drug addict, you know, doing concoctions and making wild transactions. this was very organized. and the reason they did these complicated transactions was to disguise the source of the revenue and to deceive the irs from paying taxes. is so what you're going to see in the coming weeks is a lot of loans. anytime the bidens have money, they're going to claim service the a loan because you don't have to report loans on your taxes. if you're the irs and you're just looking at someone's taxes, you would never know that joe biden got who to checks for loan repayments. you wouldn't know about all the money that we're going to show that james biden and hunter biden took in from loans. loans is a way, it's an a spe gal part of money laundering where you deceive from the irs about the revenue you're taking in. in other words, you're a tax cheat. maria: wow. so in other words, in addition to potential bribery, influence peddling, there could be tax evasion as a wellsome. >> we always see in the biden transactions are loans, loans, loans, but you never see where they made any interest payments on those. very seldom do you see where they even made a principal payment on the loans. i think the biden -- the next big question of the biden family including joe biden is going to have to answer to the american people, what exactly are the terms of these loans? what type of documentation do you have on these loans? were you going to pay these loans backsome were these forgivable loans? were these grants? if so, in addition to influence peddling which we have clearly proved the bidens were doing, they have tax fraud implications with the irs. maria: when are you expecting to issue the subpoenas to bring biden family members in front of your committee, and how many subpoenas are you expecting to issue? >> well, i think the subpoenas are imminent. i think this is going to be a big week. look, first of all, we know tuesday my friend jim jordan who's also on the oversight committee, but he's chair of the judiciary committee doing a great job investigating the weapon unyization of the federal government -- weaponization of the federal government, he's bringing in special counsel weiss for a deposition. that is a very important participant of the overall impeachment inquiry investigation. there are also a lot of other documents that i think are about to be released this week pertaining to loans and different things that make no sense, that are completely counter to the what joe biden has said publicly. we're also, as you know, we've subpoenaed a lot of bank documents, and it's taken a long time to get these bank documents in. we're waiting on a few more documents to come in that we've been successfully subpoenaed but taking forever. and i don't think the average person can imagine how many different checking accounts the president's son had. and considering he didn't have a legitimate business, that in itself and -- in itself is an enormous red flag. once all those come in, think you're going to the see swift action on bidens, and i would predict somewhere around two dozen subpoenas in the very near future. maria: two dozen subpoenas, mean subpoenas are iminnocenter, and you said -- imminent, and you said each of these llcs has dozens of accounts attached today to the llc? >> some had a single account, some had multiple accounts. but, you know, it's been very difficult cannot only to -- difficult not only to obtain the bank statements, but to put the pieces the together. again, i can't emphasize this enough, this was a very organized criminal scheme by the bidens. and here's the problem for joe biden. he lied about his knowledge and involvement of his family's shady influence-peddling schemes. we've proven the family was influence peddling. even the democrats in the media won't touch that. we have proven the bidens were influence peddling. now what we're looking at is joe's involvement. and what we have proven in the last two weeks with the checks the joe biden is joe biden benefited directly from his family's shady influence-peddling schemes. and it doesn't matter whether or not they come up with some type of document that says it was a loan which it wasn't, but let's just say that they come up with something, the only way they could have paid joe biden is through the family's influence peddling. so either joe biden got a $240,000 kickback which he didn't pay taxes on, or joe biden actually did make a loan to the family, and they paid him back through proceeds of influence peddling and $40,000 of that being the 10% from that cefc deal where joe biden was the big guy. either way, joe biden's $240,000 better off because of his family's criminal activity. maria: and, you know, i know it's been hard to get all of the republicans on the same page for a long time. we saw that play out in the speaker's race. but i see that your colleague, don bacon, tweeted out this video from the "wall street journal" explaining the influence peddling potential here. tell me about that and how important that is, that you see somebody like a don bacon tweeting this out. he says this "wall street journal" video explains the $240,000 payment that president biden received from his son and brother and where where that money originated from. the president must address this, because this looks like old-fashioned corruption. your thoughts. >> don bacon's one of the most respected members of congress. in fact, he was the guy that a lot of moderate democrats wanted to try to get elected speaker of the house. don bacon doesn't want to do an unnecessary impeachment. he's a straight shooter. he's a moderate, good guy. but it's obvious that joe biden's lying about this. "politico," which has attacked me for nine months for having the awe audacity to lead an investigation against joe biden, hay publishedded a story today outlining numerous lies joe biden has said. better late than never. what you're seeing, maria, is momentum at the obvious, the obvious being that the president of the united states has lied about his family's criminal activity, and he was a central figure in the influence-peddling scheme. maria: wow. well, you've called it a criminal scheme. based on what you know today, congressman, should joe biden be impeached? >> i think he should, but that's going to be left up to the speaker. you know, people is ask me why i haven't put someone in jail yet. all i can do is is investigate. the house of representatives can determine whether or not to impeachment but at the end of day, we're going to need an attorney general who does the right hinge and prosecutes people -- thing and prosecutes people according to the law and doesn't have a two-tiered system of justice. maria: congressman, thank you very much for your work. we will be following it, of course. mr. chairman, thank you. >> thank you. maria: james comer joining us. and now this -- >> do you believe is the united states safer from foreign terror threats today, are we safer than when joe biden took office, from the day he took office? [no audio] >> what i would say to the you is that the terror threats have elevated, but i also think there are a lot of things the country has done throughout law enforcement to be better prepared to deal with them. maria: that's fbi director christopher wray literally at a loss for words when asked if the country is as secure and safe today turned the biden administration as it was during the trump administration. this comes as wray is warning americans of the elevated risk of a terrorist attack on u.s. soil amid war in the middle east. meanwhile, homeland security secretary alejandro mayorkas admitting more than 6000,000 people are known to have evaded border patrol agents at the southern border and disappeared into the u.s. under fiscal year 2023, the number of gotaways at 1.6 million. it, of course, does not account for the unknown number of people who crossed illegally altogether, and and we are talking about 7 million people crossing the border on joe biden's watch. the national security threat here at a home, of course, is elevated. former secretary of state and fox news contributor mike pompeo joining me now with more on that. secretary, thank you so much for being here. your thoughts on where we are today versus your administration when you were secretary of state with the trump administration. >> well, maria, thanks for having me on this morning. i think you can see from director wray's response he knows what we can all plainly see with our eyes, that we are less safe today, america is less secure is. americans traveling abroad are now being with asked to come home from multiple cups. we have -- countries. we have millions of people who have infiltrated and, goodness gracious, they've been here for a couple of years, about same length of time that hamas took to plan october 7th. the risk is definitely heightened. it's a direct result of the third administration of barack obama, a weak idea of america in the world. and when you evince that weakness, it is entirely -- can you get entirely what we've seen. you get the bad guys being provocative, and and you see the bad guys begin to move in ways that threaten each and every american here in the homeland. maria: i want to get your take, secretary, on the role of china here because we have this graphic that shows the level of propaganda coming i out of tiktok supporting hamas right now and airport-israel. anti-israel. and this is just tiktok. stand with palestine, stand with israel, and you can see the difference. do you believe that communist china is following what's happening in israel and trying to pile on here as has been the case in the past? where does china fit in here? >> there's no doubt, maria. you and i have talked about china for four and a half years now, maybe longer. the chinese communist party talks about american decline, but they don't just talk about it, they advocate it. and you see that in all forms of social media, in their espionage operations here in the united states. they are deeply watching the united states. they are working alongside hamas, cheering them on in spite of the fact that there were 1400 barbaric deaths that that we shouldn't forget 30 americans who lost their lives that day as a well. the chinese communist party, the russians, the iranian, they are all working against the basic human decency that america has stood for for 250 years, and they are knee deep in this conflict as well. and they're watching how we behave in ukraine today. they're saying are you going to stay with them, or are you going to let them fall. they're watching american leadership and its absent, right? if you say that a minor incursion is okay, pride, or you describe isis as the the jv, president obama, when you do those things, xi jinping says we're going to get after this in ways that we wouldn't dare do if america was strong and its leadership was prepared to defend the american people. maria: four embassies have closed under biden, which is also striking to mention, and we also have these worries that we could see an attack here in the u.s. that's what we heard from christopher wray the other day. what are your thoughts there? >> yeah, the risk here is real. we've known for a long time that there are islamist, radical islamist cells operating in and around europe. we mow that the islamists tried to the attack the saudi ambassador at a restaurant in georgetown. we know this as a very real threat to the united states of america. and the fact that we don't have control of our borders, that we don't know who's coming in and out of our country is something that the bad guys have been observing for years, and goodness knows the scale of the infiltration many just these last two years with now 7 million people coming across our border, how many of them came here with malintent. maria: and, of course, none of these issues come up when 3r50eud ifen meets with xi jinping. the reason we keep putting a spotlight on the reason for bribery, influence peddling here, is because we want to know if he is compromised and and actually unable to deal with this threat because he's taken money from china. what are your thoughts in terms of the hold that china seems to have on president? >> watch the actions, not the words when it comes to this administration dealing with china. their language is actually okay, but then hay send the climate czar to lead american foreign policy, right?
