news live everyone i'm angt anita vogel great to be with you. griff. pushing further into the gaza strip and alex hogan is live with the latest. reporter: major protest growing tonight of the families and supporters of the hostages. thousands of people gathering putting a lot of pressure on the government not only to do more to bring those hostages home but also criticism that the government wasn't adequately prepared when we saw mass curse on october 7th all of this started with a march for several days take a look at the video. thousands people walked all the way from tel-aviv to jerusalem thousands of people these marches growing throughout the day and they slept in tents along sides of the street and one of the families joining this march today is actually the family members of one of the hostages that have found dead just a couple of days ago they said they joined this march and solidarity with other families hoping that they at least would be luckier. now in gaza today israeli soldier expanding ground operation searching for those webs of tunnels much of the focus has been around the al-shifa hospital largest where israel says that today it is accepted their request to start evacuating some of the patients from there but doctors will stay inside that hospital for those who cannot flee. meanwhile idf today also says that is struck launch post, weapons, warehouse and command centers by fighter jet and by helicopter. now, as this is happening as these ground forces are moving in and air force moving in, medics in gaza say israeli strike killed nearly 50 people today. images are now coming out as we have seen the floods of images of people who are displaced. two-thirds of gaza's population are out of their homes, hundreds of thousands of people are sleeping in shelters. sleeping in the streets and their cars and tents, and now we're starting to see more and more palestinians start to take cover in the nasser hospital in southern gaza. now, taking a look back at what is happening here in northern israel, we've seen that continued cross fire between the idf and hezbollah just alone here in this part of the country we saw as many as 30 rocket firessed this way on northern israel from hezbollah today griff. griff: wow busy and dangerous alex hogan live in northern israel. anita. anita: biden administration is under fire as government officials from four department and agencies signed anonymous letter demanding cease-fire in gaza. lucas tomlinson is live at the north lawn of the white house and he is on top of it all lucas. reporter: anita in the last hour you interviewed house arm committee saying what viewers are thinking if you disagree with policies of had white house, you can quit. >> many people within the government serve at the pleasure of the president. and if for whatever reason they are not onboard with what it is that the president is doing they have options. reporter: as pro-palestinian protest continue here in the nation's capitol there's mounting criticism within biden administration as you mention anita after that anonymous letter from officials from nearly four dozen agencies demanded seas fire but another letter circulating not anonymous and from 100 former members of the obama and biden administration praising president ahead of thanksgiving president biden and first lady will head head to naval station largest and home to uss jared ford and eisenhower vehicle groups ford is under deployment supposed to be home for holidays extended in the med due to the war. ike supposed to replace her now outside the persian gulf along with submarine escorting keeps an eye on iran and president biden turns 81 perhaps navy will surprise with a cake or sing him happy birthday unless ordered not to do so now speaking of the u.s. military, u.s. forces the middle east have been attacked over 60 times over the past month. and the u.s. militaries replied with air strikes just three times some people are like that increase and don't forget that 32-million dollar drone that was shot down off the coast of yemen there's been no for that and maybe a response some time later this weekend yemen well within range of the superhornets outside the persian gulf. anita. anita: a lot of activity live at the white house for us lucas, thank you. ♪ ♪ griff: gop presidential candidates returning to the hawkeye of the republican debate and former president not showing up untraditional move when it comes to presidential contest but former president going in with a big advantage ahead of the caucus and polling we've seen shows him dominating among gop primary voters. but when we've heard from candidates griff time and time again they believe there's going to be either a change in the wind here on something in fort dodge thank you very much. anita. bring us in the panel and gop strategist joe and democrat strategist joe howard great to have you here today thanks so much for coming. no question, the president is struggling in the polls. let's go ahead to take a look at fox news polls, the first one i want to look at is the president's job performance look at this. 40% disapproval, that is just about the same as it was in october. i want to look at another one here. this is president biden's handling of the war. if we can put that one up. it looks like he's got a -- this is of his job performance. job performance okay so these are sesk specific issues that preem weighing in on national security israel hamas war, economy, immigration, you can see he's struggling there. in all of these polls. let me get your reaction to some of this joe let's start with you. where is the president doing well? what area qow say the president is doing a good job? >> nowhere. i think you see that in the poll numbers any way you want to slice it. as i've said here before, when the history books are written, president biden will go down as the president that brought an end to pack americana period of peace from present in the western world and if you look at what's happened in gaza and what happened in ukraine, if you look at the threats in the south china sea, and if you look here at home from the economy not working to the southern border where we have a migrant crisis and the fentanyl crisis, all of this comes from either his inaction or his inability to acknowledge reality and find common ground in common purpose with the american people aside from the use all desperately demanding an america that was promised. anita: brad what do you see i'm sure you have a different opinion. >> number one it is ridiculous to blame joe biden for ukraine or israel who is to blame for ukraine is putin who is to blame in israel is hamas and hamas was attacking ahead of historic peace accords to get president trump credit, set the foundation for and moving toward a peace deal and hamas wanting to stop peace in the middle east, brutally attacked israel and still holding people hostage. so the blame game is not helpful here and stay on terms of the polls president biden has to get on the trail and tell a story and every time he's on the trail people have responded now you have to understand approval rating for democrats we have a goods chunk of the base that's never satisfied because they're pushing for a better america and they're never satisfied with the status quo so they're frustrated with a democratic president who could be doing more and don't feel he is and not abandoning hem on election day. president obama in 2011 and october 2011 was at 38 percentage points and triumph mitt romney and i want the president to tell the story what he's done and what he hopes to do. anita: a lot of people would like to see the president out on the campaign trail and hope that happens and they are fueling now we're seeing third party candidates i want to put pictures up on the screen of some people that we know. we have now joe manchin talking about third party run, larry hogan rf jr. and jill stein all of these people, you know, may try to form some third party while rf jr. is running as an independent somebody might be a spoiler for two big candidates. but let's take a listen to what joe manchin actually had to say on that topic. >> i would never be -- i would never be a spoiler for anybody and i don't agree with that analysis they've come up with. but bottom line is i know one thing if people get off their high horse from the far right and far left and start looking at how do we continue to be the united states and quit trying to be the divided state, and be americans worry about party being the democratic republican i'm an american first -- anita: says an american first, and he didn't want to be a spoiler but if he does run, he certainly is popular -- he could take votes away from both major candidates. joe, quick thought on that? >> look i think that the reality is there are a lot of boogie men on the left and jill stein is not the reason why hillary clinton lost and hillary clinton and policies are reason why she lost trump and his vegs vision is why hillary clinton lost and i would push back against colleague and joe manchin and like rfk jr. considering the fact that they could be president is because of the fact that we had a president in joe biden that watch russia hack fuel supply and has watched russia hack our supply and communist party give ayatollah and do nothing and watched taliban take over afghanistan after that disastrous withdrawal and watch chinese communist party extract oil that has led to hundreds of millions of dollars going into their call so yes, the problems around the world can be laid at the feet of inaction and weakness by joe biden. and in spite of the fact that hamas and putin are responsible for their action and see joe manchin considering a third option here and why you see so many americans in the polls for somebody like rfk not heard on tv rising at such a astronomical rate. >> quick final thought from you what about rfk jr. polling and if joe manchin gets in he's popular are these two individuals a threat to a joe biden candidacy? >> it's hard to tell at this point because there's not enough historical data points to suggest how certain third party candidates would affect races first is ballot access and difficult in all 50 states is cost money and extensive volunteer option hof you don't need to be in all 50 states to affect an election you can't win but you can steer the election another way and i think to joe biden's message i like his message. that we immediate to come together as americans, i'm hope he holds to not be a spoiler but rfk he's polling for voters from trump than biden so if i'm trump i'm concerned too but the big concern with republicans they do not nominate trump he'll be a third party candidate who could win and apeeve election so that's the third party nightmare for republicans. anita: all kinds of scenarios the mix joe and brad howard thank you so much for the conversation. thank you. griff. ♪ ♪ griff: hunter biden reportedly been interviewed by special council robert herr in document investigation into his father and following discovery of documents with classified markings in the president's delaware home and at an office in washington. he used after his time as vice president, now president biden is not expected to be charged with mishandling documents. all right for more on this joined now by senior legal fellow at the heritage foundation. let's go right to this news, now, to the people can kind of keep this straight because there's a lot happening here. this is a -- special council robert herr investigating president biden for documents mishandling back when he was vice president. we see often in these special council investigations that the target in this case president biden in close family members in this case hunter biden being interviewed sort of at the end of this what do you make of where this sands? >> well there's been a leak -- whether it's intentional or not that rob herr u.s. attorney for maryland in the trump administration has concluded he's not going to file charges against the biden for the possession of classified documents at the biden center that may or may not be true and even if it is true it wouldn't be surprising on one level because a number of government officials including vice president pence and others going back decades have been found to have classified documents after they've left office the question here is a question of intent and did he rank classified documents to his place of residence or his business and then keep them when the government asked for them back? and if herr concluded no it wasn't intentional and any issues of public report which i hope he does then that will be that. >> appears that report is forthcoming and will be interesting again it is hard to say anything until we have that report. however, it may come as a surprise to you former president trump already weighing in on social media calling this prosecutor misconduct and all things you would expect him to say but at the end of the day what do you make of the point that biden is not charged at all by herr but yet you see what's happening to former president is there this two tiers of system double standard? >> i think a lot of people think not just because of two particular cases which seem similar -- that there's a rigged system of justice. i mean, look just two days ago the dnc here in washington, d.c. the democratic national committee headquarters was essentially almost ransacked by pro-palestinian people, police officers were hurt yet what does u.s. attorney office do they don't charge anybody j6 they charge for trespassing and more serious things so you can't really say that refusal of rob herr to recommend charges against biden is a precedent for anything that the government is already done -- in terms of charging president trump for taking lots of classified documents and keeping them at mar-a-lago even after he was asked to turn them back and not one to say thes other but politically that, of course, is what's going to be said. griff: great point. let me ask you also about the other hunter biden news and that is -- david wise special council rice empanelling a grand jury in california looking at possible charges against hunter biden for among other things tax evasion there. you'll recall in delaware, it went away. closed the books, in this case we could see it in washington or now in california. your thoughts? >> if hunter's last name was smith or jones this case would have been indicted tried over with years ago. david wise who is the u.s. attorney in delaware and was under trump screwed up this case royally and it's only because they slow walked it as the two whistle-blowers testified under oath in congress about the only because his last name is biden they slow walk this. this should have been taken care of a long time ago i hope that wise is going to stand up tall and do the right thing and let the evidence go where the evidence is going and hope grand jury follows the evidence and does justice with respect to any criminal liability including tax evasion and failing to register as a foreign agent. griff: i just have ten seconds you think possibly we could see a
