[laughs] 76 anniversary of this event. of one you to know i was not there in the first place. i was too young to make it up. >> they emphasize all the wisdom that comes with 81 years of age, they are well aware that age is something they can't do anything about. >> we are not going to change the minds of americans. i get that. americans are going to feel how they feel and we're going to respect that and i have said that many times from here. >> reporter: claiming one of the most influential people now on the outside believed to be waiting for help, waiting to help with the reelect told multi-democratic donors according to the washington post there is no plan b to president biden. but some believe there is. >> i think my party would do well to look will beyond kamala harris, but if at the 11 11th-hour, so to speak, joe biden steps down to the filing dates back in a lot of states are passed. the black leadership in the democratic party, which is responsible after all to the nomination and indeed election of joe biden, i think we will insist that kamala harris be the nominee and the prices will effectively be wired for her. 's proposed budget plans to spend the holiday with family in nantucket. is the same exact get-together that a year ago they had when they were talked about whether we are not a religion was a good idea and everyone gave the president the go ahead. there is no indication that they plan to revisit that conversation. dana? >> dana: all right, peter doocy, thank you. travel and i want to bring in karl rove. karl. up on the point here is joe manchin. he was on meet the press talking about a possible third-party run. >> i will do everything i can to help my country. >> is that a yes? >> does that mean you would consider it? absolutely. if they are in a position to help save the country. >> bill: can joe manchin win a single state? can robert kennedy win a single state? remember, these are electoral votes you are talking about in order to win the presidency, or do you see it as a spoiler? really just a percentage of the vote that could draw away from to trend or joe biden if those two met at the nominee for the party? >> i think that is the i think that is the want to take back, when was the last time a third party candidate wasn't a state? it was not ross perot who got 19% of the vote could zero in the electoral college. it was george corley wallace in 1968. look, here is the impact of third parties. in 2016, 6% of the people in america voted for a third party candidate. and joe stein, the nominee of the green party, her votes in michigan, new hampshire, pennsylvania, and wisconsin were bigger than the losing margin of hillary clinton. and all likelihood, if she had not been on the ballot, those dates at least some of them may be also would have fallen to hillary clinton and with them the what has. in 2020, only 2% of americans voted for a third party candidate. jojo natson, she is a lecturer in psychology at clemson, her margin to the number of votes she got in arizona, georgia, wisconsin is bigger than donald trump's losing margin and in all likelihood if she had not been on the ballot, those votes probably would have gone to truck and with the potential of the election. that is the -- the role of the third party can they plays. >> dana: dujic mansion wants to do that? democrats are telling him don't do this. is a terrible thing. he seems to have a mind of his own. >> we have seen plenty of people who have big dreams about becoming president of the united states and if the nomination of the party is unavailable to them. some of them think that if they come candidate of a third party they will somehow galvanize some magical part and become election -- like to progressed and we had a series of third party candidate who went close to winning the election was 1912 with theater roosevelt writing as a candidate of the credit -- progressive party. that was a former president and a huge personality. nobody it seems to be has the selector or the draw that he had and no, i don't think that they are likely to win the presidency. >> dana: i want to talk about the youth vote for a moment. the recent nbc poll, it had trumped beating biden 46-42 sometimes the youth vote is dismissed. but their turnout numbers in the last few elections even in specials and the returns have been quite high. is this a major concern for the white house, how would you rate it. >> i would rate it as a significant concern for coming, the polls showed that a group that joe biden won by 20 some odd points in 2020 is up for grabs. no, we got knock it we got to be a little bit careful about this. you know, poll alert here, nbc poll was a sample of a thousand. and that means the 18 to 34-year-olds, 250, and the margin of error in the plus or minus on that is 6%. so trump could be a head or trim could be behind. by then, be ahead. biden could be behind. but the fact that we -- they are that close is a real problem because this is a group that helped pile -- power joe biden into the white house in 2020 and is traditionally a democratic strain. >> bill: karl, i think for him the next 11 months, we're going to hear a lot of talk about joe biden's numbers, about him being too old and he being 86 years old. i do think to take the d&c cares. i think what they care about is data. i think what they care about is finding voters in these critical parts of these pentagram estates and getting them to turn out and vote. and i don't know if drnc is able to even come close to matching what they have done. what do you think about that? >> well, if it is a question of that, the republicans have just the good of a bunch of data as to democrats. the question is, who is the candidate and can they have a message that helps drive people to the polls and an organization that can help bring those that are on the edges of turning out into the pool and that is something we won't know for 10 or 11 months. but think about this. this is a problem for the democrats because the major issue is joe biden up to the job of being president? the american people have answered that question. three quarters of them, including a 69% of democrats in a recent poll say he is 22 oh and two-thirds of the american people think he lacks the stamina and mental acuity to be effective in the oval office. this problem is not going to go away. is going to get wears. and the way that the biden campaign think they're going to overcome this is by unleashing a nuclear attack on anybody who is the republican nominee barack obama in 2012 against mitt romney. the difference is we knew that barack obama was up to the job. we knew he had energy and stamina. we knew he had youth. and he had masterful political skills. the idea that the president can somehow make this go away by laughing at a giant cake that has 146 candles on it is ridiculous. they should stop. i mean, the political practitioner says stop, please stop. you are making it worse. problem kara mack. after a certain age, you should have one candle. just one. >> bill: thank you. plenty of analysis to come very soon. thanks for being on. >> dana: happy thanksgiving, karl. >> thanks to you up a. >> bill: thanks. ♪ ♪ [explosions] >> bill: here we are. is really focus of these forces carrying out precise operations against terrorist targets and meanwhile, fox, fox news learning that a deal for a brief cease-fire to release some of the hostages from hamas' grip. still being held there is close to being finalized. jeff paul and has an update. we are keeping our fingers crossed. hoping for the best, jeff, hello to you. >> reporter: we find ourselves at a critical time as talks over possible hostage deal get closer and closer. we are just learning t that the israeli government will be getting together tonight to vote on the approval of a conditional hostage deal. on top of that, he got the leader of hamas, the chief of hamas putting out a statement earlier today saying that a "cruise" is close. the details as far as what that could look like could fluctuate but as it stands, 50 is really hostages, women and children will be released in exchange for palestinian prisoners in a multiple day a pause in the fighting, the stoppage in the war could also allow more aid to get into gaza including fuel, food and clean water. just yesterday, some of the families of the hostages met with that is really were cabinet members but they are demanding not only answers as to what is going on but they want the israeli government to act now, to bring the hostages at home. the idf told fox news, israel is trying to negotiate with a violent terrorist group and right now, there are no guarantees. >> until we see things with our own eyes and we can get our hands on whatever or whomever we get out, we cannot be certain of anything happening. >> reporter: while the negotiations continue, the fighting continues, as well, the idf says they have been encircling the city of the pilot which is considered the last stronghold in northern gaza. israeli forces hit the area with heavy artillery as well as airstrikes and added the soldiers found three more title checks. as it stands right now, here on the ground, there is no deal. is really prime minister benjamin netanyahu early today saying that he is hoping for some good news soon. >> bill: is like armageddon. thanks. we will keep our fingers cro crossed. chris christie is going to join us in a moment. he came back from israel. he will join us live and talk about that trip and also what is coming up next. this for now. is going to work? >> look, i really hope so, dana and bill. when i was in israel last week and, i met with a number of the families whose family members have been held hostage now for over seven weeks. and, you know, they gave me this dog tag to keep with me. it says, bring them home now. and i think that is exactly the imperative, not only to israeli hostage, but for the american hostages that are held there as well. there needs to be doing made. i biden administration is working hard to getting it done. because those folks need to stop the suffering of those innocent people who were taken hostage by the terrorist organization of hamas. >> bill: dana has said this before and we were just talking during the break. the leaders of hamas are living in carter. and they made a lot of money. was there any conversation about taking them out. >> look, you know, i did not get into specific with the idf forces that i met with. specific work plans in terms of what they intend to do. and so i don't have any information on that. but what i did learn when i was there was the level of inhumanity that those hamas leaders and their soldiers visited on the people of israel. i wanted -- went into a kibbutz like i said, 600 yards from the gaza strip. and i went into a home, of a couple who had just been mar married. is us on in the video right to, but the young woman was killed on her couch. still bloodstains, you could smell death in that place. her husband was killed in the doorway of their bedroom. i counted it. there were 140 bullet holes in this small four room h that kild two people. the joy they showed visiting this inhumanity, these innocent civilians was breathtaking. and what it tells me is there's no alternative, but for israel to degrade hamas' literally capable to the park where they can't visit this type of threat, again, we -- you see me walking around they go with the speaker of the connection. he said to me, how do i tell these families to come back and rebuild their homes if hamas still has a military capability? that is exactly the question to be asking. and for those people who want a cease-fire, listen, there was a cease-fire on october 6. it was hamas that broke it on october 7th. >> dana: bernie sanders is saying that eight will come but there has to be some changes but this is a "back from him. netanyahu, government must understand that not one penny will be coming to israel from the u.s. unless there is a fundamental change in their military and political positions. what do you make about the political divide here in this country when it comes to aiding israel? >> i don't understand it, dana. the fact is israel is the only democracy in the middle east. israel is one of our greatest if not our greatest ally in the world. and for someone like senator sanders, they have a hard time running covers. maybe they should not be spending their time trying to run another -- maybe he should get a budget done in the united states scented. maybe he should get that worked and there that is, that is to gget done to secure our border. he should get that work done before he is dictating to another government what to do. the fact is, this is wartime, and it is difficult. and i have confidence in the israeli defense forces to be able to do the job the right way. unconvinced from what i saw that they are doing everything they can to try to minimize the deaths of palestinian civilians. but here's the problem. hamas is forcing the civilians to stay in areas that are militarized because they want to use them as human shields and propaganda weapons. against the israel around the world. the fact is that israel is doing more to try to protect innocent palestinian civilians than hamas is. >> bill: yeah, well, the protests here in america are just growing larger to be frank with you. and i don't think governor in this does this war has been on for what, six weeks, 60 days ago, 45 days ago, no one in this country predicted that you would see the number of people in the streets and these college campuses protesting israel as a country. or grand central station or penn station on friday night. it goes on and on. i'm wondering from your perspective as you. >> the country, what do you think -- where do you think that comes from. >> it comes from an underlying deep-seated anti-semitism that exists on college campuses and in other places all over this country. it has been there. you know, our live in the most ethnically diverse state in america in new jersey. i can tell you what goes when i was governor, we had a number of incidents of anti-semitism where i sent the state police out to the synagogues and this is years ago now around the state to ensure that those folks were protected and able to practice their faith. the fact is that that anti-semitism exists and it is flourishing on our college campuses. the radical professors that get hired at the college campuses who have an agenda that is anti-semitic. and that is what i have called for the hiring of the president of harvard, the president of penn, and the president of cornell, who have hired these faculty, tenured them, and allowed them to spew their anti-semitic hate to 18-year-old, young people, and try to teach them that that is really the way the work should be. it is not put me to stand up against the higher education bureaucracy in this country that is allowing this to happen and pestering this on college campuses and it is wrong. and those of us in this country who have leadership positions need to be saying it. and this is one of the areas where i think president biden has not been strong enough. there is not an acquaintance right now in this country with anti-semitism and islamophobia. and you can see it from the things that are happening on college campuses, so let's stop making fake m
