skipping the fundraiser tells the new york post, quote, it could be an opportunity to encourage them to drop out. rachel: my favorite part, liberals when they get upset don't go to work. >> the first time i've had an opportunity to reflect probably on this debate and there's so much to say about the basics. it wasn't a bad performance. it was par for the course. they can't get away now with telling us i had a bad night, get up and knock the dust off when you get knocked down. this was confirmation of something we've known for a long time. not weeks, not months but years and it is incredibly selfish to the democratic party and partisanship for president biden to remain in the race but it is incredibly selfish because it compromises security of america. what i point out right now is the lies, the absolute gas lighting that needs to be at the top-of-the-line. not only is he compromised but everyone surrounding him, karen jean-pierre, his cabinet, chief of staff, most importantly, the fourth estate, the media told us this is the best version of joe and he is great, they lied to us to the compromise of the united states. will: here's a reminder and they know better, policy and a visiting angel all the way through. it's a result, this is what we've gotten. rachel: president biden should leave the race to serve the country. as it stands, the president is engaged in a reckless gamble, democratic leaders better equipped to present clear, energetic alternative to a second trump presidency. there's no reason for the party to risk stability by forcing others to choose between donald trump's efficiency. they see his age and infirmity with their own eyes. a couple things i want to unpack. the reason no one moved, is it is complicated. then you have jill refusing to let go of the reins. it's complicated on a lot of levels. he locked up all his supporters. all his allies are in the committee in charge of the rules, so they could switch someone like witmer or michelle obama. you touched on something important, which is security. i love that donald trump had a chance to go to virginia and bask in his victory and biden's failure, something more serious was in order, he should have called for the 25th amendment, he has 6 or 7 months in his term, the houthis are attacking our ships. the chinese are on the march, everybody saw this and this weakness is superdangerous. the last thing i want to say is about our troops. if you sent your son or daughter overseas during this time, this debate took on a march darker tone. it wasn't just a guy who messed up or had a cold or a bad night, this is scary and existential for you. will: regarding how complicated it is to replace joe biden, they have to rally, no one to say you've got to move on.
