if you wait tables, you know what i'm talking about, you get nightmares, you think in the middle of the night you forgot somebody's pie. we were focused on that side of the room. look at this gorgeous side of the room. would you like some pie? there you go. there you go. look how beautiful the people in iowa are. they are so nice, they watch "fox and friends" every morning. we're going to sign the constitution, where would you like me to sign it? anywhere. there you go. thank you so much. and god bless you, sir. thank you. these guys started west side conservative club. this actual man started it and he is in charge. they meet at restaurants. how many people meet at your conservative club? >> 100 to 200, whoever the speaker is. >> god bless you. how are you doing this morning? i've not talked to you and i keep seeing you, you are so beautiful. what is your name? >> sandy watts. >> ainsley: what brings you today? your husband and trump. >> all the way. >> ainsley: are you concerned about the stuff happening to him right now? >> the more they put on him, the more popular he gets. yes, trump all the way. >> ainsley: you think they're going to convict him and put him behind bars? >> probably will, i don't think behind bars, might happen after the election. it is an interesting time. >> ainsley: would he take secret service with him? with him the rest of his life. >> that is one thing, in alabama, they put him in jail, secret service would make them clear out the rest of the jail. >> ainsley: thank y'all so much. we'll start last hour of the show and vivek ramaswamy will come join us soon, too. we had mike pence on the show. brian did a beautiful interview with him and vivek will be sitting next to me in a little while. are y'all there? >> steve: we are. the machine shed in urbandale, iowa, reminds me of as i recall oil stockade in abilene. everyday my dad would go have coffee with same bunch of guys like your dad does in south carolina. >> at lizard's thicket. did your family do that in massapequa? >> brian: i have a warm story toir sha. when we would go out in high school and around midnight, 2:00 in the morning, we realize, this is perfect time to eat, a bunch of guys go there and have breakfast for two hours until they felt well enough to drive home. >> steve: yeah. [laughter] >> steve: we had a place like that. >> ainsley: we can all relate to that story. >> steve: in wichita, it was brownie's. you got chicken fried steak with thick cream gravy and order of fries, nothing better. just saying. >> ainsley: we had waffle house wednesday. all of my high school would meet and eat breakfast and head to school. >> brian: then they made ego's and we started eating at home. >> steve: it is breakfast time. great to have you out there talking to the folks. >> brian: kick us off. >> ainsley: the state you were born in. fox news alert, president biden is heading to india, wheels up, where top world leaders are gathering for the g20 summit. >> steve: the president is expected to strengthen ties with the other world leaders and boost support for ukraine. >> brian: even walking up steps, everyone keeps their eyes on the president. peter doocy is live in new delhi with the latest. peter. >> peter: back home president biden policies are very unpopular. his team is starting to focus on one thing, one moment from his first term so far that quick trip he made into ukraine. >> in the middle of a war zone, joe biden showed the world what america is made of. that is the quiet strength of a true leader who doesn't back down to a dictator. >> peter: maybe foreign policy will decide the election afterall, in the new cnn poll, nikki haley is the republican polling strongest against president biden, who is trailing pence, scott, chris christie and tied with desantis and beating ramaswamy. two-thirds of democrats say they wish they had another democrat to choose from, just a third of people in the president's party say they are happy with president biden on top of the ticket. >> the numbers are looking rough for president biden, we've been talking all morning. could be troubling sign for the president and hope for reelection in 2024. >> no way to spin this, cnn reads the country's mood right now and finds america is deeply unhappy with joe biden. >> 58% of americans say joe biden's policies have worsened economic conditions, that is majority there. 55% of americans believe biden's actions related to the hunter biden probe inappropriate. >> new polling numbers for president biden. cnn finds approval rating sinking to just 39%. >> peter: leaders gaggering in india want to talk about clachl change and investing with the west instead of with china. most of that will wait until tomorrow. when air force one lands after coming all the way from washington, d.c., president biden will have a short meeting with the prime minister, the host modi, and down for the rest of the day. back to you. >> brian: india, they are ally and critical, they have problems with china, but they are tight with russia, they are buying their oil and they are member of that new bric alliance. do you think these things upon be brought up? >> peter: it seems like this will be brought up, especially when negotiators are going around the table. whole point is to show the g20 is united against big problems facing the world and we heard from the treasury secretary and jake jake sullivan aboard air force one, they are not sure they can get all 20 representatives on the same page with issues. like the war in ukraine, u.s. love to put everybody down on paper as condemning russia, there are a lot of members that are most worried about the high price of grain and might not want to rock the boat, stuff like that is a real challenge over next two days here. >> steve: i bet. the president is heading your way. speaking of challenging, you arrived 12 hours ago, have you ever been in a time zone where you are on the half-hour? it is 8:08 in new york city, but 5:38 right now in new delhi. >> peter: yeah, i'm not going to adjust my watch, i'll be half an hour early for everything this weekend. >> steve: thank you, you'll be there all weekend and go to hanoy, busy week for you. alarming numbers, when you look at joe biden approval rating at 39%. and 61% don't like it. then do you think joe biden policies have improved or worsened economic conditions in the united states? take a look at that, 60% say worse, 24% improved and 20% no effect at all. biggest concern of all people they talked to about painful polls for joe biden, the biggest concern mentioned was his age. 49% said what is your concern, his age. they said it was age, followed by 7% said his mental acuity, 7% health and 5% said no concerns. i got to feel people there at the machine shed in urbandale would have concerns. i wonder what they are. >> ainsley: let me go find out, i will talk to the fine folks. the camera is here, tell me your name. bobby earhardt. >> ainsley: what do you think about joe biden, his age? how concerning is that? >> he is old, he doesn't comprehend anything, walks away when getting interviewed, he doesn't know where he is at. >> ainsley: i saw that, walked off the stage after giving the medal. do you think he will stay in the race? >> no, he will never make it. no. tell you one thing, years ago i was at iowa state fair, we were walking out and i saw him walking by himself, he was running and hillary was running. i ran up and talked to him. >> ainsley: nice guy? >> yeah, but i think he was lost like he is now. >> ainsley: not getting your vote? >> no way. >> ainsley: back here on your side of the room. are you excited? go to this nice lady. what is your name? >> donna. >> ainsley: you live in the area? >> i do, i live in urbandale. what issues concern you? the economy? >> actually no, one thing that bothers me, i'm five days younger than the president. i gimp, i my walk, i forget things once in a while, i feel he's been put out before people and being made fun of all the time and i hope to think my family would not do that to me and i feel that joe biden should be -- feel badly for what he's doing. >> ainsley: who do you think should be democratic candidate? >> that i don't know. i think that i like to see because the democrats don't like him, i like to see kennedy running. i think that is kind of fun to see what they are doing. >> ainsley: i agree with you, too. thank you so much. let's talk to this young lady who stuck around for us. her mama let her stay longer, she's in seventh grade. your name? >> maria. >> your mama let you stay longer. how is seventh grade? >> good. >> ainsley: how many brothers and sisters do you? too many to count? >> seven. >> ainsley: your mama loves you very much, lots of schedules, you live in your car, don't you, mom? >> sometimes. >> ainsley: i know you are too young to vote, have you been following politics? following presidential candidate like donald trump or desantis? >> kind of, yeah. >> ainsley: anyone you really like? >> desantis. >> ainsley: why do you like him? >> because my mom. >> ainsley: that is a good reason, sweetheart. thank you for sticking around with us. what do you have planned today? what is your favorite subject? >> recess? >> social studies. >> ainsley: thank you, darling. what a great group. you have been here a lot, steve was born in iowa, best state fair i have been to. i hate to say that, i love the south carolina state fair. it is awesome. when i went, i think it was trump was running the first time. we went for "fox and friends." i saw the butter cow. i participated in arm wrestling. >> steve: i remember that. >> ainsley: the biggest pig, right? and they have jars at the state fair where you can go and take a corn kernel, corn is their big vegetable here. and you see a corn kernel and you drop it in the jar depending which candidate you like and i think it is pretty accurate, right? your jar would be for trump, right? look at his shirt, trump country. where is the nice gentleman? the shirt "i'll be back" trump's face on it. i love my job. it is friday, y'all. >> steve: we feel it. and it is great that you are able to talk to the folks. another thing people are talking about, jen griffin got a great exclusive interview with the retired general from sincom, frank mckenzie and he said he had a lot of regrets about how they left afghanistan. he wrote a book and that was incorrect, that book was written by james hassan and jerry dunleafy. he sat down with jen and talked about regret, that is keyword in this sound bite, which is a fox exclusive. >> i have a lot of regret how it ended in afghanistan. i think it was the wrong decision and i particularly regret we did not choose to evacuate our people, our embassy personnel, our american citizens and at-risk afghan at the time we brought in combat sources. i think that led to the events directly. >> do you blame the state department for delay that led to the chaos? >> stay on until the end and often push that decision until you are in extreme situation. i think that happened here. case of american exceptionalism or american arrogance depending on your perspective to believe you can withdraw and maintain a large political platform in the country you are retreating from. >> in your opinion, should the u.s. have troops in afghanistan today from a national security perspective? >> that was my recommendation then and i see no reason to change that recommendation now. how do you think history will treat the withdrawal and president biden's decision to bring the troops home from afghanistan? >> i think it will be viewed and the manner we were directed to come out as fatal flaw and i think history will be very hard on that. >> brian: he said beaten from the battlefield, we didn't lose a single battle over there, we lost psychological damage for being at war, we chose toef loo. the way we chose to leave was so ridiculous against military manual they had to take their order from a civilian. that is where a situation is set up. they warn the president who was denied being warned from his generals that this could happen. if you left few troops there we could not hold bagram. it was rough framework on exit from afghanistan turning over power sharing agreement with the taliban, which was crazy if conditions were right. these conditions were not right and president biden still left. i think it is great he admitted he has regrets and thinks about it everyday. this stuff could have been prevented and they are on record telling the president and did this term, paper their way out, general milley and company, told the president and filed it away. one day that paperwork will come out and that book talks about the president's decision. the president didn't research it or talk to people on the ground. he knew better, he knew more and this is the result. admiral kirby said from my perch, i didn't see chaos at all, i don't know if you have a monitor there, they were showing people running, trying to get on the cargo jet, definition of chaos and resulted in explosion at abbey gate, that is where mckenzie differs from people there. he says no, we never knew where he was. somehow those two worlds got to get together. >> ainsley: you are right, brian, we interviewed parents of the 13 that were sadly killed at the abbey gate and they are telling a tooifr story than leaders in the military told them after their children were killed there. can you imagine listening to that interview? i'm appreciative the general is being honest, if i were the parent of one of the 13 and heard him say, i have regrets, that would be hard to hear because when you are sending your son and daughter to another country to fight for our freedoms and you hear they should have done things differently, they should be prepared and they should not walk away with regret. these are lives, soldiers, these are our children. their dinner tables will never be the same at christmas because of regret or decisions made. we don't have time to make mistakes when it comes to war. >> brian: they knew in realtime and executed because he is not there, not the president. they are generals. thanks. don't move, coming up next, white house may have new plan to help democratic cities deal with overflow of migrants, get this, force them to remain in texas. congressman, tony gonzalez, from texas, reacts. >> steve: we have fuel fest on fox square, look at the custom cars coming up and don't miss ainsley in iowa at the machine shed, who will he take cake and pie to next? we believe at newday usa we have a noble purpose. our purpose is not just closing a loan. we want to do whatever is best for the individual service person. we want to be known as america's mortgage company for veterans and active duty service people, and they and their families. we're the ones that are there to help them. people are doing hard, arduous, difficult, dangerous things. some of them are giving their lives right now today for the freedoms that we have here in this country. they're willing to do that for you for me and for our family. so for us at newday, to have the opportunity to turn around and help those people at this point in time. it's a labor of love. it's a noble service. and that's what we're all about. [ applause ] >> the day you get your clearchoice dental implants makes every day a confident day... a never-hide-my-smile day... a life-of-the-party day... a take-on-the-world day... a believe-in-myself day... a flash-my-new-teeth day. because your clearchoice day is the day you get your confidence back for good. a clearchoice day changes every day. schedule a free consultation. we moved out of the city so our little sophie could appreciate nature. but then he got us t-mobile home internet. i was just trying to improve our signal, so some of the trees had to go. i might've taken it a step too far. (chainsaw revs) (tree crashes) (chainsaw continues) (daughter screams) let's pretend for a second that you didn't let down your entire family. what would that reality look like? well i guess i would've gotten us xfinity... and we'd have a better view. do you need mulch? what, we have a ton of mulch. >> brian: hunter biden claiming he was embarrassed by graphic pictures of himself found on the laptop, he is still denying it is his computer. experts believe a plea deal could be on the horizon. alexandria has more. >> alexandria: trying to counter sue for making personal information public. the president's son claimed he was embarrassed by the notorious laptop, even though he says it is not his. testimony provided under oath, 35r9 of defamation lawsuit brought by the shop owner. the statute of limitation running out on possible felony gun charge. on wednesday david weiss said his office is seeking indictment in the case and "new york post" says potential indictment could leverage another plea deal. david weinstein, says it is holding in place leverage and negotiation with hunter biden to resolve his global criminal exposure. here is how hunter biden's legal team is reacting. >> as much as the facts and law should cool prosecutor, it looks like the heat put on by the congressman who want to interfere in what the justice department does puts up the heat. >> that is their take there. the plea deal fell apart, it is possible another plea deal could be in the works. >> brian: unbelievable. 26 after the hour, governor abbott -- forcing migrant families to remain in texas. it comes as august saw 91,000 migrant families illegally cross the border. that number -- texas congressman tony gonzalez will react. remain in your texas policy, are you okay with this? >> i'm not okay with it. it is like we are living in twilight zone. texas, we don't want people here illegally. we've had enough. a lot of folks don't want to stay in texas, they are trying to go to other parts. almost as if biden is punishing texas for upholding the law. it was 109 outside yesterday and numbers keep increasing, wait until it is october, no end in sight until we push back, i'm approp appropriationsor. make them do their job. >> brian: congressman, they are not saying remain in arizona policy, democratic governor, coincidence? >> not at all, remain in new mexico or remain in california, why is it texas? lawlessness, too. i was in ker mit, 200 miles from the board. two migrants from cuba saved up and one kills the other and dismembers him and put his body parts and many people coming over for economic purposes, they won't qualify for asylum, there are others and it is not fair texans should have to deal with these people. they need to get sent back to country of origin, that is how they saw it. >> brian: dhs holds discussions on how to have a fair and humane immigration process. they are coming up with legal way to say leave them in texas because chicago, new york, philadelphia, los angeles, san francisco, are all overrun with sanctuary policies being the magnet they denied for the longest time. now they cant, there is overwhelming state of emergency. it is outrageous they have remain in texas policy. for you, new legislation would up penalty for bad actors who cause harm to first responders and police officers. >> we have seen the lawlessness, it is only increasing. in san antonio, over two weeks, five police officers were shot at and in some cases wounded. criminals are more embolden. a lot has to do with crooked das letting people off. the cops act increases penalties, anyone who try to harm, firefighters and ems, it creases penalties from 20 years to 25 and you pay half a million. most important part, it takes fireworks and explosives, many time shooting fireworks at police officers and it considers it deadly weapon, these are things we have to do to make sure law enforcement is protected. >> brian: full circle, two illegal immigrants beat up cops in chicago a couple days ago. even new people here illegally have no respect for authority. i l
