[shouting] >> their agenda is not oh free palestinian but wipe out israel and the jewish people. >> we've seen jewish students attacked on campuses, literally attacked. >> it's not free speech. this is incitement for murder. >> bill: you have all watched this together with us. hate speech and violence that appears to have no end. today, however, jewish people around the world facing that since october 7th jewish americans will say enough as they gather in washington for the march for israel. a big part of our coverage today and throughout the afternoon. good morning, i'm bill hemmer. >> dana: good morning, happy birthday. it is bill's birthday. i'm dana perino. this is "america's newsroom." one of the things there will be a lot of -- some diversity not just jewish americans and christian community coming out strongly today. i have friends going from connecticut a ranged buses. they didn't show up. they got in the car pools and heading down there now. we'll have updates all day. the march for israel scheduled for 1:00 p.m. eastern on the national mall. there is a crowd expected of 100,000. d.c. is calling in the national guard to help with security. mark meredith live in washington with more. hi, mark. >> good morning. you are right. we expect a very large crowd. tens of thousands of people expected to be on the national mall. rehearsals are already underway. the real program not starting until early this afternoon. perhaps most notable how quickly the event has come together. an event of this size takes months if not years of planning. given the developments since early october we've seen the jewish american community come together to counter some of the pro palestinian protests in major cities. places like new york, chicago, as well as los angeles. what we can expect in d.c. today you and bill mentioned off the top. heavy security. we have seen some of the roadblocks on the national mall. this area would be packed the tourists people running around. instead it's all locked down. people have to go through security to get there. the people here will be sitting or standing. marching up to the hill. listening to speakers, house speaker as well as democratic congressional leadership on stage today as well. the message we expect to hear is the support for israel that these jewish americans want to hear going forward not only from leaders out of washington but from feel -- fellow americans. we don't know if we'll see counter protests on the ground in washington. so far i haven't seen any. it was quiet this morning. just people guitarists and security. in terms of other mass demonstrations unclear at this point. whether or not we see any other additional members of the biden administration come out. a few notable names out of washington and names from the hill. make no mistake this showing dana and bill how the jewish american community feels about what is happening in israel and what they want to do to combat it going forward here in this country. >> dana: thank you, mark meredith in d.c. >> bill: want to bring in one of the march for israel organizers with us now. we want to give you a chance to explain what it's all about. i want to read the comment from instagram. palestinian youth movement. that's their handle. we urge individuals not to attend the rally in any capacity. do not fall into their trap to paint this as two sides. do not allow them to use you to inflate their numbers for their pitiful rally. i don't know if you choose to comment on that. we hope it goes peaceful today. what do you say, sir, go? >> happy birthday, bill. secondly i would say this may be one of the only times i agree with the palestinian youth movement. they should stay home and stay away from our event. we expect there to be tens of thousands of people coming from all over america. jews and non-jews alike coming from every corner. we have 1600 buses alone that are coming into washington as well as tens of thousands of people flying and taking trains. they are coming to push the message that america stands with israel. america stands against anti-semitism. america demands the immediate return of our hostages. >> dana: one of the things that you have is nikki haley in the "new york post" saying d.c. march for israel flags key truth. the west faces a moral test. she says america, europe and every civilized nation must give israel everything it needs to eliminate hamas. it has promised never to rest in the slaughter of jews >> many people in israel will be watching. i have been there and while we were there the comfort and give hugs to israelis the fact that the people of israel saw that america and american jews are standing with them gave them great comfort and it is a hug back to us. i know that many, many in israel will be watching and they will be i'm sure comforted by the fact there will be tens of thousands of americans, jews, christians, and everybody in between who will be marching in support of israel. marching in support of the freeing of the hostages and will be marching to push back on the tsunami of anti-semitism that has he represented in the u.s. and across the world. >> bill: it exposed a deep vein in american society and around the world. what has it been like personally to attack your faith or your country? >> it's been very difficult for jews around the world. on one hand, our homeland has been attacked. 1200 jews murdered by the hamas terrorist army. hundreds captured. soldiers who are fighting as we speak now in gaza. that in and of itself tugs at the hearts of american jews. you add to that the insult that people who we thought were our allies and stood with us turning their backs on us in a minute. in a situation that's not a situation like a lot of issues are in the middle east where i say six, you say a half dozen. i say the glass is half full, you say the glass is half empty. if you look at the murder by hamas on october 7th there is no equivocation, no right and maybe right. it is a situation where one side is right, one side is wrong. to have average americans stand up and be on the wrong side of that is incredibly distressing. but we're very taken back and relieved by the fact that america supports us. the congress supports us incredibly well. senate passed a resolution unanimously. the house of representatives with nine no votes voted to support israel against hamas. we put out polling today that shows the conference of presidents along with the jewish federation of north america shows that eight out of ten americans support israel's right and obligation to defend its citizens against the hamas terrorist army. even though we see what we see at harvard and grand central station you'll see today tens of thousands of americans standing up and saying we stand with israel. we stand to free the hostages and stand against anti-semitism. it's an amazing message for america and the people of israel. >> dana: you were able to get the speaker of the house and senate majority leader to come today. president biden is giving a speech on climate change before he meets with the apec summit and xi. did you invite president biden or vice president kamala harris to attend today? >> we did invite him. he is on his way to san francisco for the apec conference and so he was not available. we did push. we tried to get him to come. the schedule was such with the meeting with president xi tomorrow and travel at the white house was not able to bring the presidents. we do have ambassador the special envoy for combating anti-semitism who will be addressing us on behalf of the administration. >> bill: good luck to you. one of the organizers. expect up to 100,000. you want to keep it peaceful. your friends driving down from connecticut and a lot of people from new york taking the train to washington. you might be able to contain that on the national mall. it's anybody's guess as to what happens on various street corners or in the trains or vehicles? see how it goes. they have a beautiful day weather-wise. >> dana: israel released new video inside hamas terror tunnels. the passage you see here is connected to a hospital that hamas used as a base. the idf found hand grenades, explosive vests and rockets all stored in the basement of that hospital. it's part of hamas's strategy. it is prompting calls for israel to back down including from president biden. >> president biden: it's my hope and expectation that there will be less intrusive action of the hospital. there is an effort to take this pause to deal with release of price -- hospital must be protected. >> bill: trey yengst brought news a moment ago. alex hogan reports live near the border with lebanon now. hello to you. >> hi. moments ago we saw continued attacks coming this way from lebanon. the border is the hilltop behind me. one strike landing on the hillside. much guns as well as tanks. the fight continues in the southern part of the country, idf released this footage last night of what appears to be an area where hostages could have been held in the basement of a gaza hospital. the idf says it is launching on investigation to figure that out. it comes after hamas announced it would negotiate for the release of 70 hostages, 70 women and children for this five-day cease-fire. if it's true it would line up with the idf claim that some hamas forces are fleeing south. it took over the parliamentary building in gaza city and raised the israeli flag. a main focal point has been around the hospital. it is allowing patients to leave the hospital but the hospital says too dangerous to move israel is sendsing in incubateers. whos workers are questioning how those infants would safely get to another facility. with major pro-palestinian protests around the world demanding a cease-fire isly foreign minister said the military likely has 2 to 3 weeks left of fighting before it needs to give up into international pressure. those comments are not landing well in israel. he quickly retracted that statement. fox talked with an aid to the former prime minister about why she thinks an immediate cease-fire won't work. >> be very blunt, nobody wants to rule gaza as long as hamas is still standing on its feet. >> we've seen today, the rains have stopped now but it has been a downpour expected to create massive flooding that will be a complication for israeli forces in northern gaza but also a major problem for the more than million people living in shelters or on the streets when there is such a high risk of water borne diseases. >> bill: nice to see you again, alex. washington, d.c. d.c. bracing for a massive crowd at the march for israel. tens of thousands expected to rally within hours. we'll watch that unfold right here. plus there is this. >> the president called you a word that because we're live in london i'm not allowed to say on television. >> dana: president biden -- how the former obama advisor is responding. >> bill: the first photo of the cocaine found at the white house last summer. but the mystery over who left it there still not resolved. >> i am asking again once and for all whether or not the cocaine belonged to the biden family. >> they were not here friday, saturday, sunday or monday. they came back on tuesday. so to ask that question is actually incredibly irresponsible. to pray with me real quick . in the name of the father and son, holy spirit. amen. lord jesus, come to us now. help us to surrender ourselves completely to you. help us to listen to your voice. even when we're distracted or tired, we pray this in the name of the father and of the son of the holy spirit. amen. thank you so much. i just want to encourage you that if you want to join me in more prayer, check out hallow it's the number one prayer app in the world. ♪ my name is josh sanabria and i am the owner at isla veterinary boutique hospital. i was 5...6 years of age and i knew i was going to be a vet. once alexandra called me to let me know that bank of america had approved my loan... it was important to me. we not only just provide the financing piece, we do everything that we can to surround them with the right people. all you need is a perfect, amazing team that will guide you through the right steps to be successful. and that's what bank of america was for me. is this for me? you have jonathan martin, "politico", as one shrewd democrat argues the party enters 2024 with advantage on message, money, organization and brand. the messenger is the problem. he should try to fix that. what would be your message to martin and axelrod and to biden? >> well look, i agree with david axelrod. when you have over seven out of every ten americans saying he is too old, including 69% of democrats, and when you have a nearly 2/3 of the country saying he lacks the stamina and mental acuity to be effective as president, you have a real problem. now i do have a minor disagreement with david axelrod. he suggests that the answer is to get going. that is to say the duplicate what barack obama did in mitt romney starting in 2012. it was to start going after mitt romney painting him as heartless who had an elevator in his garage for his cars. they were unending starting in the early part of 2012 going after mitt romney. that was effective. it took bad numbers for barack obama in 2011 and turned it into victory in november of 2012. my disagreement is that barack obama was young, effective, he was -- he could string together two sentences. everybody looked at him and said he is not too old. he is young and energetic and had political skills far better than joe biden's today. joe biden is not going to get younger, he won't be more fluent, and he is not going to look like a strong leader. as a result, i think going on the offense getting going as david says, nice try. i don't know if it will work when the messenger is so flawed as joe biden is in this situation. remember, in that poll that showed the battleground states losing -- biden losing to trump in 5 of 6 battleground states? it also showed a generic unnamed democrat handily beating donald trump in all six of those states. >> dana: since you know both men i want to ask you about jim messina. he said he is not wore eft at all. he thinks david axelrod is 1,000 percent wrong and thinks joe biden record of accomplishment is great. they have work to do but when it comes down to it america will choose to reelect joe biden. between those two, they are diametrically opposed. >> both men are personal friends of mine and but choosing between messina and axelrod, i would go to axelrod on they have a real problem. talking past it is not going to help. there is a real fundamental problem. i would have to hear what will they do to make him look more energetic and make him look for able, more on top of it? what will they do to show the stamina and mental acute tee to be president? i don't see the answers that give me any confidence. they say we go thermo nuclear. it will give us the most ugly presidential campaign in history. it will be met with like response by donald trump and we are likely to see turnout decline next year. we have been in a period since 1996 other than 2012 turnout has been rising election after election. i think it is likely to go down if these two men are the nominees of the party and take no prisoners death con three approach to american politics. >> bill: he will campaign from the rose garden in 2020. he campaigned from business basement. it worked. tim scott is out. the desantis team sending three top aides to iowa. he will get to all 99 counties this fall. making a big deal out of that. then you have the recent polling in iowa trump at 43, haley and desantis tied at 16 apiece. the caucus happens on january 15th, karl. maybe that scrambles everything but do you think scott getting out, do you give an edge to a desantis or a haley right now battling for what appears to be a silver medal? >> well, the polling suggests that the second choice of tim scott supporters is nikki haley, but given the fact he was polling in low digits in both iowa, new hampshire and nationwide it is not much of a boost coming from that. we have evidence that she has moved because of the debates and the third debate i think everybody agreed she did really well. in large part because vivek ramaswamy kept coming after her and completely illogical in inappropriate ways. politics a punch hurts sometimes. but a counter punch can work more effectively. she was at six points in iowa in august. in october she was tied at 16. who declined from 19 to 16. she is probably a few points ahead of desantis today. the question will be donald trump was flat in the iowa poll. 42 in august. 43 in october. 29 of his 43 points said my mind is made up and voting for him. 14 points of donald trump support in iowa said i'm for him today but open to voting for others. we have plenty of time for weird things to happen in iowa. then they the end to be followed by stranger things in the state of new hampshire. >> bill: that's a fact. thank you. >> dana: karl is reliving his past. >> i'm reliving, 19 points, yes. >> dana: new hampshire indeed. >> john mccain, new hampshire. >> dana: stream a new episode of perino on politics now. i talked to josh holmes about joe manchin's decision to retire from the senate. >> he is a charming guy and the reason he has gotten as far as he has in west virginia. at some point in a presidential stage charm only gets you so far. you have institutional backing of a base of support and actually roll out what it is you believe. >> dana: episode available now on fox news podcast.com. >> cartels recruiting more teenagers doing their dirty work for them. how will people make their voice heard together today an pro-israel?
