>> we had a limited amount of time. >> just say it. >> it's written all across your face, just say it, you like him! >> jesse: trump wins over new fans as biden heads back to the bunker. >> big biden would do this interview? i don't think so. >> everybody must eat! everybody must eat! >> jesse: no one is above the law, except looters, writers and ballot stuffers. >> we are the people who are going to save american democracy [ cheering and applause ] >> jesse: joe biden and aoc is now a thing. plus... >> well! you're very saucy! [ ♪♪ ] >> jesse: it is friday, 84 degrees in delaware. joe biden should be shirtless on a beach getting dominated by the sun, instead he is locked in a dark basement mock debating trump impersonator's. are cameras caught biden on his way to camp david, stiff as a board, shuffling across the tarmac. now the biden campaign may call this a cheap fake but it is 100% real. all we did is look at the president and hit records. last night we were told biden will have a physical performance surprise for us at the cnn presidential debate. it does not look like he is ready for whatever they are planning now because the campaign is focused on training biden to stand for 90 minutes. >> part one will be pouring through all of the source material, trying to refine and hone in on his talking points. part two of that debate prep is going to be actually putting that into action with these mock debates. this will include a 90 minute formal debate where the president is standing up on his feet the entire time trying to mirror what he will have to do in realtime next week. >> jesse: the bar could not be any lower for joe. as long as he does not just get up and wander off before it is over, people will call it a win. >> it's a treasure for every american weather they voted for me or not. >> and the ones that did not vote for your bills but run on them. >> that's right. >> mr president, thank you very much. nice to have you, thank you. don't go anywhere, is a very exciting day around here. we will have reaction and analysis to everything we just heard. >> jesse: biden always performs better than expected on big nights. it could be that he is well rested, studies hard. or maybe it is whatever is in that orange drink. what is in that orange drink? trump knows he will not be going up against your typical joe biden. >> i'm not underestimating him, it is what it is. we will see what happens. i happen to think he is incompetent for a lot of reasons. i think he is incompetent because he has gotten the worst policies in both foreign-policy and internal policy. would not want to have a wall? who wants to have millions of people pouring in? who wants high taxes? >> do you believe he is in cognitive decline? >> i should not be the one to say that but i know he is doing particularly well. >> jesse: that was trump on a podcast with a few tech billionaires who just hosted a fundraiser for him in silicon valley. so what do a bunch of rich guys talk about? how nice their homes are. >> hello mr president. >> i love that house he has, i love his house. what a house. that made the biggest impression. [ laughter ] >> thank you sir. >> i heard you have a pretty nice house to. >> yes, i have a nice house. >> jesse: after they got that out of the way, the billionaires joe into some serious policy talk. trump is taking the less is more approach. less taxes and regulation means more money. >> i gave the biggest tax cut in history of our country to business. the revenues were better than ever, even with the lower rate. we had record revenues which tells you a little bit about that. but also, the regulations, in four years i cut more regulations than anyone by far. not even close. >> jesse: and trump says he will kill inflation and the deficit by drilling more and spending less. >> we have more liquid gold under her feet. i use the term, we have more oil, we have more wells and more everything than anybody else. if they ever win the election there is no more oil coming out, no more oil. we have tremendous growth potential. and we have tremendous numbers of dollars that can be saved through efficiency. >> jesse: trump is an old-school guy but is open to new ideas. nuclear energy powered artificial intelligence is one. >> they need electricity at levels that nobody has ever experienced before to be successful, to be a leader and ai. and we will have to do that. and a windmill turning with it's blade knocking out the birds in every thing else is not going to be able to make us competitive. >> what about nuclear, mr president? >> i'm okay with nuclear but you have to do any way that makes sense. >> jesse: ai is not the only thing he's open to. he was asked if he would release the jfk assassination files. >> i released a lot, as you know. but when it came to the whole thing, i was hit by some people that worked for me that are great people, that you would respect. they asked me not to do it and i said why, tell me why. and they said, sir,, i think it needs a little more time. but this time i'm just going to do it. >> they say the cia killed his uncle, you believe that? >> this wasn't cia that asked me but i think the cia was probably behind it. but they would have preferred that i not release the rest of it. but people, more than anything else want the jfk files, we will release that immediately. >> jesse: low taxes, less red tape and a president who is open to ideas. rich guys like that. >> where your big takeaways? >> i am undecided, as you know. we had a limited amount of time. >> just say it, you like him. just say it! because it is written all across your face, just say it. you like him, you are confused. >> he crushed her questions, admit it. >> he asked great questions and he dealt with them head on, just admit it. you like him. you like him! look at that! >> i will say that. >> i told you you would like him. >> jesse: trump has a way of charming the wealthy because he comes from that world. he knows all they want is a prosperous country and commonsense policies. the former president raked in $170 million last month, completely shredding biden's cash advantage. some of that money came from billionaires, like $50 million from timothy mellen, the heir to the melon family banking fortune. that is one of the biggest donations and political history. but a lot of cash came from small donations, fuelled by trump's conviction in may. trump is up and every swing state. and in deep blue minnesota, he edges out biden. a republican has not won minnesota since nixon. compared to 2020, trump is up 19 points with blacks and eight with hispanics. the new york times has biden down five points with women compared to four years ago. what this all means is that biden has zero room for error from now until november. he cannot afford to lose one more voter. >> the biden campaign needs to set the narrative early that biden is competent and capable to lead going forward. and he absolutely cannot have a senior moment at this debate. that is what i heard from -- i was in wisconsin and michigan two weeks ago for a lot of focus groups. and what i heard from voters, democrats who support biden is just that they will be watching and they want to make sure that he is up to the task. they may still be planning to vote for him, but they are still uncomfortable about the age and it really is an albatross that is hanging around this candidate and this campaign. >> jesse: jason is a businessman and entrepreneur and host of the all in podcast. where donald trump just appeared. can i call you by your nickname? >> you can, i'm glad to be here. >> jesse: so you are not a trump guy, you did not vote for him in 2016, you did not vote for him in 2020, did you? >> no, definitely not. >> jesse: so are you moderate, democrat, where would you put your yourself? >> i would say i am liberal and fiscally conservative. i probably vote when he five% republican and 75% democratic in my life. growing up in new york, in brooklyn right next to donnie from queens and then spending a lot of my adult life you're in california. >> jesse: and you are open now to voting for donald trump. why is that? >> i'm not sure he has won me over just yet, i do think we had a very productive dialogue on the podcast and you had some great clips there. we made a lot of headway in talking about important issues to the business community like visas and this concept of recruiting great talent to the country while closing the border. but as a moderate, i do have some blockers with trump and i do have some blockers with biden, obviously. >> jesse: what are your blockers with trump, first? what are your blockers with him? >> with trump, i think his rhetoric, the first time around as president caused a lot of chaos. i think it was unnecessary, on presidential. and i just think it inflames both sides and we need to calm that rhetoric down. >> jesse: so you want a calm trump, okay. >> i don't think anyone is coming trump down but you do seem to see he is calming the rhetoric down and may be leaning into policy little bit more than what i will call trump to point out packets second time it back here because i think he really wants to win. and to win, if he reminds people how chaotic that first term was, i think he loses. but if he seems more presidential and reasonable, i think that will get him a lot more moderates. that was what will decide to election, women and moderates. there's a large number of people that are disenfranchised the democratic party right now. >> jesse: so you are trump curious back we will characterize it that way. biden blockers, what are your biden blockers? >> obviously he is in cognitive decline. it does not take a genius to see that, will want him to retire and have a great time with his grandkids and i wish him the best. but you can see the differences in the four years he's been in office. i think we'll find out next week exactly how far is cognitive abilities have fallen. and i say that with great reservation. he's an old person, all of us will sadly, in all likelihood go through the same decline. but this is a really important office so i think that is probably why biden is so unpopular now, it is the age thing. the second piece for me, which is really bad, is that he is not pro- capitalism, he is not pro- entrepreneurship and i think capitalism and entrepreneurship along with personal freedoms are the most import things for me here in america into a lot of americans. and to watch the democratic party push people out of the party, people who would otherwise be allies, because they don't fit every single test the democrats have put out there for you, and terms of your virtue signalling or unimportant issues, frinkly. i really have concerns about the debt and his support of capitalism and a vibrant, free-market. >> speaker-05: >> jesse: go back to what you said. when you say the democratic party is closed minded or judgemental or pushing people out of the party, what you mean by that? >> i mean if you were to look at some incredibly high-profile democrats over the years, you on mosque, my friend from the all in podcast and even joe rogan, these are democrats, or have been lifelong democrats. and they supported hillary clinton, barack obama, et cetera. and then the democratic party says well you don't believe in unions here or you don't have this exact inclusion or fit the litmus test they put you through wealth and you can be part of the party. and if you think about it, they could probably have people like elon, joe rogan on their side still. and then my personal experience with the republican party is when i said you know what, i agree with trump on the border like 80% of americans, the entire republican party is like you agree with this on 14% of her interest? please come in the party. we would love to have you in here. >> jesse: that's a big ten! >> i believe in autocracy and the democrats hate me. >> jesse: i understand the issue. do people in your neck of the woods, silicon valley, feel this way? because you think most americans hear silicon valley and you look at the donations, it's like 99% from all of these big tech companies going to democrats. is there a change happening? >> i think it is a slow and steady change. the most noticeable change is that people were very quiet about their support of trump over the last eight years. if you were to be pro- trump, it could cost you business, it could cost you an investor, it could cost you employees, et cetera. and now since they did a big fundraiser for trump that i wasn't a part of, i don't donate to politicians at this point, i think things have changed. people are very public in saying this democratic party does not match my ideals, i'm not into censorship, i'm into freedom of speech. i believe in a meritocracy not di. i believe in free markets and not this capitalism from the government and regulatory capture. so they are starting to look at the issues and so you know what, it feels like trump's platform matches my platform or. and do i want to have the reputation hit of coming out and supporting trump? i know people are saying you know what, you can cancel me anymore, cancel cultures over, screw it, i'm going out and i will be public on my support of trump and that is what you are seeing happen right now. >> jesse: so the policy is winning over the social shaming? i think we have come a long way. we have come a long way as a country over the last couple of years if that is the case. all right, thank you so much for joining "jesse watters primetime". everybody go check out the all in podcast. >> great. >> jesse: senior fellow at the hoover institute is joining you now. all right, you heard at the top, the biden campaign is practising standing up for 90 minutes at a time. what does that tell you about the state of affairs? >> well that and the date of the debate itself tells you they are very unsure. i think people in the shadows were whispering this was a stress test for joe biden and they are correct. never had a debate -- word neither debate he has been nominated by the respective parties. i think they want to have joe go out and do his best and they wish him well but if he doesn't and he implodes and there is a possibility he might, then they still have the ability to self correct and get another person's name on the ballot. the people who say this is probably the most important debate in modern memory i think are correct, we have never seen anything quite like this. and in an ironic way, trump agreed to unfavourable conditions but i think they actually may favour him. the idea you have to stand up and you silenced the mic when the other person is talking and you have a hostile group of people who have a record of not liking you, all of that any weird way, i think will play to trump's advantage. >> jesse: so he will be guzzling his orange gatorade or whatever that liquid is that he keeps chugging. and he is going to roll the dice and if he bombs it is over and if he does well then we have a race on her hands. where does the democratic party stand? we talked about some things you wrote earlier in the week on "jesse watters primetime", the five stages of grief. i have never seen the democratic party behave like this in my entire career covering politics. they are off message, they are undisciplined, they are scattered. they are angry. what is going on? >> i think they have memories of 1972 and 1980. it is eerie how this is starting to shape up like 1980. you had an incumbent president that was incompetent, you had stagnation and inflation, rushes in afghanistan, it invaded. you had hostages, the whole sense of the country falling apart. and more importantly, the message then and now was that you can't do this, you can't do this, don't do that. and then the demonization of ronald reagan. he is an outsider, he is dangerous, he will cause a war. amy says she can't sleep if reagan is elected, all of this crazy stuff. and then the polls were just incoherent because everyone had this feeling that reagan is getting these new constituencies and he has got all of this momentum and then 10 days before the election of 1980, it says that carter gets ahead, almost like the foxhole. in fact, it said biden was at a point. and john anderson -- reagan said bring on anderson, i don't care about third-party, all debate him. and carter said no, we don't want him in the debate and they try to demonize him packet was the same paranoia and the fact that they had no record to run on and the only thing they could really do was heckle the electorate and basically say you are stupid if you vote for ronald reagan and that does not work. they are doing the same thing again. >> jesse: never hector the electorate! that his rule number 1 in politics. you must not hector the electorate, thank you so much for all of your wisdom and expertise. have a great weekend. wand of the stuffer and meatball breaking next. with so many choices on booking.com there are so many tina feys i could be. so i hired body doubles to help me out. splurgy tina loves a hotel near rodeo drive. oh tina! wild tina booked a farm stay to ride this horse. glenn close?! with millions of possibilities you can book whoever you want to be. that's my line! booking.com booking.yeah i was only 23 when i was first diagnosed with non-melanoma skin cancer. 40 years later, i've had almost 20 mohs surgeries. i had just accepted that the pain and the scars were going to be part of my life. but when i was diagnosed with two basal cells on my face, i became determined to find an alternative to surgery. if you, like millions of others, are affected by skin cancer... it's important to know that surgery isn't the only option. there's another choice. gentlecure. it sounded like everything i had been looking for. gentlecure uses low energy x-rays to kill skin cancer cells with a 99% cure rate. plus, there's no cutting, no surgical scarring and no downtime. i'm so glad i did it. it was successful in every way. to learn more, call today or go to gentlecure.com [ ♪♪ ] >> no one is above the law. no matter how rich, powerful or politically connected you are. >> our job is to follow the facts and the law without fear. >> the fact is that no one is above the law. >> no one, not even the president is above the law. >> jesse: democrats have used that phrase to rationalize abusing the justice system to prosecute trump for their own political gain. but it turns out lots of people actually above the law in the eyes of democrats. remember meatball? the writer who live streamed herself with a massive smash and grab last year? >> everybody must eat! everybody must eat! everybody must eat! record this! keep your phones out! free our phones! >> jesse: despite recording herself in the heart of a mob inciting looting, the radical da and the democrat judge left meatball off of probation. just a slap on the wrist for burglary, writing, criminal mischief and oh so endearing colour commentary of the crime spree she filmed. after a rubik's cube case that has never been brought in the history of the american criminal justice system to bring down trump, alvin bragg just dropped charges against 30 columbia arab spring breakers who broke into a campus building and took hostages.
