this week's cnn and presidential debates former president donald trump builds momentum in key swing states it. good evening i am jon scott and this is the fox report. ♪ we have a team coverage with alexis mcadams swung the trump campaign political analyst on deck with analysis. first we go live to david who is at the white house. >> good evening a quiet weekend at the white house. president biden first lady jill biden not here at the white house bird president biden not expected to be here over the next several days he's been hunkering down at the famous presidential retreat in the maryland mountains camp david with advisors with binders likely someone standing in for his predecessor. and now opponent donald trump preparing for the cn and presidential debate that kicks off at 9:00 p.m. eastern time on thursday night but also simulcasts here on fox news. president biden seen in maryland heading to camp david to spend some time with aids but who goes straight from camp david to the debate on thursday br but on fry he will hold a rally for north carolina but here's the campaign and what they expect those tuning into the debate to see on thursday. >> what they are going to see is a starker choice between president joe biden who wakes up every single day fighting relentlessly for the american people against donald trump was out running as a convicted fe felon. her thought looking out for himself does not care about the harm it causes to the american people so long as the end result is more powerful donald trump. >> the biden campaign including president biden on even former president from closely watching these nine people be supreme court justices who will come out with the next batch of opinions on wednesday. they will determine whether donald trump stands trial perhaps even this year before the election for allegedly trying to overturn the last election in 2020 the justices heard the case on appeal at the end of april. donald trump was supposed to go to trial in march of course that has come and gone that date. depending upon what the supreme court does it could tell us a lot that they ruled donald trump has absolute immunity to say goodbye to the federal case here in washington d.c. at this that he has no immunity it's possible the federal judge could start the engines again and get things on the calendar before the election in november we are going to hear the next round of opinions on wednesday at no telling if it will come that day. but likely will get something this week. jon: we will be watching. david thank you. former president donald trump on the campaign trail last night for a rally in the deep blue city of philadelphia ahead of thursday's acn and presidential debate alexis mcadams is live in philadelphia. alexis did the former president give any hint about who he is picking for his vice president? >> former president trump says he does know who he is picking for vice president but he won't not save just yet, watch. >> a lot of people wondering who is the vice president picture going to choose? >> if you knew that he would probably be up for major we have a lot who do you like would you like would you like there's so many different answers we have a lot of good ones. i'll be announcing around the time of the convention. >> former president has been on a swing state tour at temple university in pennsylvania this weekend. just a few days of the cnn presidential debate the candidates are prepping in different ways but president biden out at camp david former president trump stop aids cheese's steak shop in south philly. check this out for. >> tell me a little bit about how you are preparing for the debate we are seeing president biden is out at camp david you're on the campaign chart what is your strategy for the debate? >> here's the thing joe biden has a home-court advantage at cnn. rules will favor him if he shows up is somewhat coherent the main street media's going to declare him the victor no matter what. you and i both know he has struggled when he has had questions asked of him. this is going to be a problem pretty far the trump campaign you might want have weekend at bernie's playing opposite you might decide what to do there but there is a very low bar for joe biden to succeed here. there is one key thing he's going to be missing. that is the policies that pass the smell test for americans. the economy is in shambles people are feeling it. you've got to be able to address that. that is happened under his watch. people felt better under the trump presidency and they don't under biden for there is another issue to, it's the border in crime. right here in my home city in ohio less site one of the entertainment district 10 people were shot. that is a second time the same district. people are still feeling a democrat-controlled cities and d that is safety that's why women are moving more towards the republican party in the selection. >> president biden also seems to be losing support among blacks, hispanics and other comment would have been traditional democratic voting blocs, why? >> that's exactly right. democrats are cap perplexed by this it's very simple a couple issues is economy, black voters, latino voters, black men all care about the economy they were better off in the four years trump was president that may have in the four years subsequent when biden was president that's a key piece of disparate illegal immigration is a huge issue with latinos but first-generation americans, i am a first-generation american myself we care about fairness. latino americans certainly do to someone jumps the line that really affects what's going on on the southern border has deeply affected latino americans they do not eat a college professor at yale or brown to tell them they're doing better under democrats they do not buy it. things are bad the biden ministration joe biden is going to have to answer for that. jon: i want to look at some polling numbers that show the swing states and where these two candidates stand right now. if you are in the trump camp you've got to feel pretty good about these numbers but arizona, georgia, michigan is leading the sitting president and then and several other states as well, nevada, pennsylvania, and wisconsin. president trump is up at summer it within the margin of error in every state on this list shows trump on top that's got to tell you something. >> it is a huge advantage for the trump going into summer that the president the current president right now that occupies the white house joe biden has historically low numbers. people are very dissatisfied. people in washington d.c. people in l.a. do not quite understand it and these other places in wisconsin, michigan people are struggling they cannot afford to put food on the table. when you say inflation has been tame but prices are sticky their wages have not kept up with the price of cereal, the price of meat, the price of eggs. that is a real effect that is when you're seeing these numbers again southern border and crime may be murder rates down from blaster over the last four years the murder rate has skyrocketed where it was before the pandemic people see it that is a safety concern and that's what you're saying reflected in a lot of these numbers a swing states. >> i want to take it look a potential trump vp contenders he says he's chosen one i do not suppose you have any inside information. jake d vance, marco rubio, tim scott those are all possibilities, what you think?
