0 we're at war . see how that works. no wonder they're for war . the more, martin, that next week a big ukraine vote in the m senate will be following it.es in the meantime, have the best y we get with the onesou you loven we will see you monday. congress holds its firsthe publc hearing on ufos 50 years. of course we're on that story. have a great night. welcome to this special edition of "hannity". i'm tammy bruce in for sean. and tonight the most incompetent administration s in american history strikes again now a diretr baby formula shortage is causing panic, understandably among parents nationwide. of course, there is no mystery n behind this new crisis. way back in february, biden's own fda halted production at i one of the largest baby formula plants in the countrynn. a but today our very indignant president declared that there is justtst no way he could have seen this coming. >> watch this . watching >> a lot of parents are watching about baby formula. if you have a message to those parents, you as well. for threemu questions. i'll answer the baby formula question because all of a sudden it's on the front pageo of every newspaper and it's important as i responded to you taking sooner before parentsak got toen these cells and couldnt find formula. if we'd been better mind readers, i guess we could have.b butetter we moved as quickly asa problem became apparent to us and we have to move with caution as well as speed. because it's on the cover of the newspapers. deal with itt now c instead of fixingal this nightmare, the administration and their allies are deflecting i a blame a washington post fact checker f called the shortage a faux outrage. yesterday jen psaki told concerned parents who call a doctor on twitter bette midlererse, she should know, suggested that americans, . ote, try breastfeeding it's free and available on demand. meanwhile, eric swalwell blamed gop congresswoman elise stefanik and accused her of wanting to starve small children because she raised concernsla over a governmenthi stockpile of baby formula earmarked for illegalld immigrants. and on the view, sunnyy hostin blamed the united states for not having federally paid maternity leave. yeah, that's the culprit. watch this . i think the fault lies in the fact that we have terrible maternity leave because a lot of women would love to be able to stay home and breastfeed their children and take care ofc their children. and the fact of the matter is we can't do that because we have very limited maternityle leave and we have to immediately go back to work to y,ke care of our families and feed our families and the i government doesn't support us and that's my goodness, it just never ends. now while liberals deflectmm and distracty: this crisis, it'n not going away. f in fact, no one at the white house seems to know when this serious problem will be resolved. check this out, kate, at this point. do you do the white house consider this a crisis? well, i don't think it's about a a label isn't part of this figuring out what the timeline is when you think it's going to be fixed and we are working to do it as quickly as possible. i'm not you know, i it is and i'm not going to stand heret and tell your audience that i can give you a hard time line that i can't give you. gosh, even cnn there seems unhappy. good questions. and they didn't get answers. not content to wait around for the biden administration. my next guest has launched a website to help parentsla locate baby formula in her district, texas congresswoman beth van dyne joins us along with former florida attorney general pam bondi and fox news contributor charlie hurt, who is very well informed about, well, everythinged over the washington times. let me start with youke actually , pam. ifd i could start here because what shocked me about the biden administration response, he effectively confessed at this press conferencee that he has to address i it because it's in the news there is this disconnect with the fact that individual human beings and children are impacted with this every single day. what is driving the biden administration and would trump have done what could he have d done differently whichon we woud expect he would have done something differently in the face of this crisis? you know, tammy, i think c they said it the news is what's driving them. they're reactive and you know, being part of americaca policy institute, we advance the policies that put americait first. most of our chairs were all people that came out of white house. and i can tell you definitivelyn what donald trump would have done, those ceos of those four corporations, the four corporations that manufacture the majority of baby formula in our countryma, they would hae been sitting in the oval office with the ceo of our country, t donald trump, and they wouldhe have come up with a solution. donald trump would have invoked the defense protection act. he would have a point person assigned immediately to make sure this crisis was solved and it is a crisis and he would have put it fda on warp speed as we've seen him do in the past. if and if someone didn't help solve this , they would be fired. e that's what president trump would have done and we wouldn't have been faced with the activeness that we're seeing now from this white house. and it's just a shame that our country is coming to the represent event and it seems as though there is this it is a reactionary framework where there's a crisis, a new crisis every minute they seem to not have any leverage of forward thinking plans and yet you like you're a mom, you're a person, you're a congresswoman, but you're doing something functional that the internet allows which is connectingws people up to find the productsdu they need. other people are doingct this . can you give us a sense of how your district has reacted and the success of this effort?a sure. i mean, we're not just throwing money. this is an arsonist administration. what we're seeing is they're not just reactionary tyea. they're causing the problem and then they blame other people. they throw their arms up as if there's nothing they can do about it. and they had no way of knowing that this was going to happen.cn it's just common sense if you shut down a factory that's producing that this might happen and i didn't even think ahead. i got a calll from t one of my y mom's in the in the district and she has a small child, a four month old named beckert and she sent me a video of becket's screaming he has a particular need that she can'tt find the formula that she needs for this baby. and my heart went out for this woman and instead of justt throwing my hands up and saying hiere's nothing that we can do ,what i did was we started a website, bfw baby formula .com and we're trying to connect moms who are searching for formula stores in the area lifetime that have it. it's practical is being proactive, but weiv need to do more of that . what we're seeingni with this administration is just one crisis after another crisis and the moms babies in this country cannot continue to seeti this . the fires that this administration starts and then has absolutelynu no solution for that . very, very good point. and charlie, we know, of course, was the, the plant shutdown that affected us . but we also know that i believe it's about 44% of the baby formula in this country comes from china. and when you have the, the trade issues, the of course the pandemic, we know that there's so many different elements in this track that can cause a problem. he was talking about food shortages, charlie, that we should expect. whye, baby food, baby formula be exempt from that ? it's because these people care more about trade. for example,ut with china than they do the american people. and that quote that you showed of biden talking about the about the thing about this being in the headlines , that's his only concern. a dire crisis that i know mothers who are terrified of what could possibly happen here if they do run out of if they run out of of the baby formula and he only views it as a as a political situation, that's all that matters to him is the politics of it. maybe shouldn't a be a big surprise to us . these are the same people.pr they believe in abortion up toh, the ninth month. they believe in sexualizing kindergartner's t t teaching rae hatred to children and mutilation for teenagers.na atge some point we ought to sort of wake up and realize that these people doar not care about us . they don't care about children't . they care about their own power and they care about their globalist agenda. h but they hate us and they hate america. you know, i until recently i was a democrat and i can't we certainly this is not jfks democratic party. something awful has happened. women who are liberal, independent, conservative see p that ? and pam, we k know that they knw even earlier because there was a whistleblower about the problem of the infection at the i believe the abbott laboratory back in octoberry b n we have the supply chain crisis, everything was goingor on and there was this delay for months up until february. so they did know this is not a surprise. how can you explain what they're supposed to be the champions for women and they're screaming about abortion right now whenn women notice that ,e you know, they're going t to be more concerned about not being able to feed their children as opposed to having an abortion atav this point. that's right. which is a true crisis right now. and they're doing nothing to help it. they're reading the news.e doing they're doing nothing. n and i applaudothi this great congressman both you're doing a great job in the state of texas for all of your constituents because you're acting and that's what ah trump white house did right when president trump was in office. and this isn't the only thingt to me. look what they're doingg with immigration. look at the crisis at our borderwi immigration at. look at gas prices through the roof. look at everything. look at ukraine, what's happening in ukraine now they saw that coming butut they did nothingng. is afghanistan wasta a total debace and thousands of lives, hundreds of lives were lost and they did nothing. they put america did last instead of putting america first. if i may. this seems to be when it comes to governance, europe, younger generation, you're a woman. you know what's going on with everyone's lives. i every issue is a woman's issue and yet we've got this country moving in a trajectory where women areg impacted first because of the economy, marginalized people are impacteded when the economy is awful. we effectively have been told that we should expect a recession and now at prices, the inflationon on top of not being able to get staples to brain development in babies happens very early. this is something you don't notice if it's impacted until much later in their adolescence. is therer something if you were to tell joe biden one thing, what would you tell him to do now to get out from behind this eightball and stop with your with your policies that are out of spite to take back what was working in the last administration? start thinking, start connecting this administration touchabsolutely out of with what normal everydayng working americans are going for. they're absolutely out ofy touch . they don't talk too the constituents. he barely even comes out of the white househe e. we're having we're having roundtables all the time. we're connecting with our constituents. we're talking to them. we're falling out with their issues. areing and we're trying to address them in practical matters as well as we can . ical athis administration, the s that he's connected in his cabinet aren't doing their jobgo . you talk about what's goinge on the border, the fact that you've got all of that formula at the border, we wouldn't be having this problem if his administration actually did their job, went down to the border and talked. werl got a border czar who won't even do her job and get downle there and talk to the people who are on the front lines. this administrationro needs to start doing their job connecting and coming up with solutions as opposed to just t w more fire, more gas ona fire . congresswoman, thank you very much because we do know with the palettes of the baby formula getting down to the border, they do know how to do things, which means they're choosing to not doo themhe fory the american people. ithank so much, charlie apan and congresswoman pantin. thank you very much. more on america's struggling economy. according to the pew research center, a whopping 70% of americans are deeply concerned ,understandably with inflation. and now the fed chairman jerome ow is warning that getting inflation under control willha not be easyontr and he cannot guarantee a quote, soft landing and that's key important phrase. in other words, buckle up because we are in for a rough ride. joining us now with reaction is. fox businessg contributor phil flynn and the chairman of the conservative political action coalitionf, matt schlapp. phil, if i could start with you. when people hear some peoplee might not realize that when you talk about a soft landing, ea that means that if you can't have that , that we would t be then expecting the economy to be damaged and moving into a recession as a result of this trying to control inflation. can you explain contr what's happening here a little bit more for the audience? i sure can . you you really hate whenof the captain of the plane tells you, hey, careful, we're going hard right in and in jerome, how the fed chairman is basically trying to thread the needle here. he knows that there's so much inflation and the only way to fight inflationay is to put more pain in the economy by raising interest rates, you know, making housing prices go higher, credit card debt go c higher and alreadyal the consumers are getting smashed because they have to go and can fill up their gas tank. right. and so be the cure for inflation is probably worse i than the disease and that's what he's warning us about. and the problem really is it's a jerome can't do it h by himself. he needs help from the white house and the white house ishe doing everything they can to make inflation worse, especiallyve when it comes to energy. you know, they've been fighting fossil fuels the whole way f. they've you know, prices are at record highs and they're canceling leases alaska in the gulf of mexico. t this is crazy.he and this is why it's not y working. i'll tell you, matt , wehat knoo that with president trump the action he took was cutting regulations. they basic common sense things, right. lowering taxes, encouragegemm the growth of the economy which if they if if businesses and the economy was growing, that would deal with inflation. matt , what do you see as beinge the end game? it does seem like biden is doing these things deliberately ,making it as though he wants the country to be a dumpstero fire . this is the thing this is the great hypocrisy. the first of all, i think manyre experts are already sayingre that we're in a recession. basically what jerome powell isc saying when he says can't have a soft landing because we could have a very deep and painful recession. that's right. by the way, presidents who go through those deep recessions are always punished at the polls and that's what's going to happen to joe bidenha november. . ve and i t believe that's what's going to happen too the democrats in tears. but tammyts , take energy prices in and of themselves. the green new deal, has in its opening salvo the desire to raise fossil fuel prices so s people will switch fromo fossil fuels to these renewable forms of energy. rthis is what they want to happen.ap he can now blamepe putinn,no and ukraine and all these otherg things.s their policies themselves actually self-evidence all of what's now happening. so what do they hate america? c i don't know. i can't get inside their heads.r i can tell you what theirur policies hurt america. yeah.ri you know,ca it's interesting because we have heardhe the energy secretary in particular talk about the you know, get anta electric car . hea we've heard that refrainrd that if you had an tha electric car , this wouldn't be hurting you.ti so we dong seem you, to s have n admission that this in fact is deliberate, but we really don't see the human destructionth that comes in emotionally, intellectually, financially, especially on the heels of a pandemic that this kind of and economic situation causes to people. >> you know, this green new deal is built on the backs of the poor and middle class. you see the democratic party says that the people they want to help these are h the people they're hurting. butdl not only that , it is shos sighted from a geopolitical risk viewpoint. look at the war in europe. this is the first war of t the greenhe new right because europe you know, europe decidede to give more dependent, yound know, on green energy and it's failing and we want to repeat the same mistakes here. you know, i saw a report today texas is already talking about, you know, rolling blackouts. california iss warning that we can't keep the lights on . you and we're going to theseng green energy sources that are not reliable and everybody pays the price. you know, speaking of that , in california, newsom now governor newsom is making noise about maybe m it's not a really good idea to shut down our last nuclear reactor, you know, because everyone thinks, youw, know, nuclear power is clean. you want. this is not 1950. everything we do is is better. it's cleaner. it's certainly cleaner in the oil we're trying to buy matt from from venezuela or from russia. i mean the dirty oil it's this contradicts everythingan they want. isemis the problem to me that when the federal government decides what a preferred form of energy is because it's politically correct, we've seen all thesese things, whether it's hydrogen windmills or bicycles or w whatever you want to talk about, they always choosey the tax code, the form of energy they want. and you know what they always w do? they choose wrongro eachh and every time. how about this ? i have this crazy idea. youu use the tax code to allow people to use our resources to create different and diverse forms of energy. don't pickkdon' one over the otr and let's see what is the best so far the history of humankind . there's nothing like fossil fuels and if that is a form of energy that allows more middle class and lower class people to get to the upper echelons, that allows america to compete and make things that i'm all for it and let's stop setting the world against the forms of energy that can make america grow again. and ial feel you touched on this about the first war of the green new deal. this is a national security issue, isn't it? ultimatelyat this is about whether or not the economy is involved. all of this is about whether or not this country can defend herself if under the gun by tyrants in china or in russia or in north korea or anywhere. you're absolutely right. you know, every world war has been won in part by control of energy, whether it be nuclear oil or whatever .e to contr absolutely right. whethe at the biden administration, they don't get this. you know, it's they didn't live through the 1970s oil embargo. you know, if97 you remember thoe days are used by the united states had an economic shock. no, you're too young. but you know, there's economic shock in iraq. o and you know, at the end of the day, you know, we were so fearful in this country. what did they cut off our oil? what are we going to do and weth work generations to become independent and we throw all away and now we're goingin back to whereg we were beforese and put ourselves in that vulnerable situation. it's justlvthat s nuts. well, the good news is, gentlemen, is that w we've seen donald trump change things on as
