los angeles. this is trace gallagher. there is a deal to free at least 50 hostages come including women and children. the agreement calls for a four-day cease-fire or a lull as the israeli government talks about it. and there is also a mechanism in the deal to extend the pause in fighting by one day for each additional 10 hostages released. let's get over to alex moore of the breaking details. >> that's right come in some of these hostages could be coming home soon after hours long meetings overnight. the israeli government said that they have accepted this negotiation deal and what this means is that it would be the exchange of a four-day cease-fire for women and children and also the u.s. senior officials said some that are u.s. citizens including a young girl that will turn four years old on friday will be released. in exchange for 10 extra hostages freed there will be an extra day of paused fighting moving forward. hamas released a statement saying that 150 palestinian prisoners, also women and children come up would be the least through this deal will come about his three palestinians for everyone is each one.but it's not yet clears deal who will be doing what. the state of qatar is involved, and benjamin netanyahu said that president biden was instrumental in the deal to move hostages. we heard that in some cases hamas still needs to locate some of the hostages. we have heard in recent weeks that it in some cases they have gone missing because of israeli strikes. there's no way to verify that. we are also hearing that the state of qatar will give the learning the official time of the cease-fire, officials hope that this will be extended to northern israel including groups like hezbollah. >> trace: thank you so much. let's bring in our two guests, abe and eric come a thank you both for coming on. and it sounds to me we are going to see these hostages be released in the next 24 hours. what i am focused in on is that it could go on for four days, it could add an additional day for every 10 released. in essence we could see this going on for a fair bit of time. >> yes come at 240 hostages that hamas has. with the initial release of 50 and up to 30 including if the cease-fire extends, what i am concerned about is that this has the ability to up the ante for the remaining hostages. and three palestinians release for every hostage, i think it's very dangerous, especially considering the past. coand yes, then negotiating the release of over 8000 prisoners. i am concerned about the high stakes that will happen. i'm very relieved for the family, but it shows you that it is a lot on the table. >> trace: the question is when the progress stops, if it stops at 50 or 70 or so forth, how easy is it for israel to begin their campaign. >> the longer the hamas. but what about world opinion? if this stops for five or six days or comes to a stop for longer, how will this work and how will the world be affected by that? >> i think that is what they are trying to do come and try to make it seem like it's a fair trade. but hamas kidnapped over 240 innocent civilians, they are releasing palestinian terrorists. they are involved in terrorist activities, i hope that we continue to put the pressure to highlight the fact that this is what hamas started on october 7. so although the stop and the fire cessation of a few days will help alleviate the situation, what is concerning is the mistakes with remaining hostages. and i don't want to see the arab world galvanized because of this, we have to maintain our strong commitment to the state of israel. >> trace: right now israel has gone zero credit for the goodwill it has given to the people in gaza. >> no, not at all. and i think at the end of the day, if they don't fall through with the stated goal of crushing hamas, you know, israel, at the end of this many cease-fire, cannot lead hamas to fight another day. that will be a massive mistake on the part of israel. so they have to go
