0 a historic national park this christmas on fox news channel. >> that's it for us . we could, of course, go on forever, but time has limits. we'll be back. it's friday. we will see you next week. have the happiest weekend with the ones you love. shielded, we hope, from the insanity in the embrace of the people. mataji, we'll see you soon. welcome to this special edition of "hannity". i'm tammy bruce. and for sharon tonight, joe biden apparently wants you to forget about his agenda's major failures. and want you to forget about his relentless smears against republicans and instead wants us to just all get along this christmas season. watch this. >> so my hope this christmas season is that we take a few moments of quiet reflection, find that stillness in the heart of christmas. it's at the heart of christmas. and look really look at each other, not just democrats and republicans, not as members of team red or team blue , but that's who we really are. fellow americans, fellow human beings, worthy of being treated with dignity and respect. i sincerely hope this holiday, this holiday season will drain the poison that has infected our politics and set us against one another. i hope this christmas season marks a fresh start for our nation. >> and to think i thought i was a semi fascist who knew? but mr. unity has been singing a much different tune throughout his presidency, calling republicans threats to democracy, comparing them to segregationists and claiming they hate science. >> here's just a small sample. watch this. donald trump, the maiga republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic. trump in the extreme measure, republicans have made their choice to go backwards, full of anger, violence, hate and division. >> jim crow to about two insidious things voter suppression and election subversion. do you want to be the side, a side of dr. king or george wallace? do you want me to side with john lewis or bull connor on the side of abraham lincoln? or jefferson davis? >> we can and we will turn the tide and covid-19 will take a lot of hard work. it's going to take some time. >> many of us are frustrated with the nearly 80 million americans who are still not vaccinated. >> well, are you feeling the unity yet? and rather than take any accountability for the administration's self-inflicted crises, the vice president says it's really the media that's to blame for not covering all of her successes, telling "the washington post", quote, there are things that i've done as vice president that fully demonstrate the strength of my leadership as vice president that if not received the kind of coverage that i think the dobbs decision did receive, really, it sounds like somebody told her that right? the left wing adoring media is to blame. now, check out this hard hitting interview biden did this week with drew barrymore. >> chills favorite room in the house. do you know what it is ? actually , i don't think is in the house. it's on the house. the truman balcony. i think outside looks over the no. mr. president , can i just tell you, my daughter's pulled me aside the other day and they said, could you stop talking to people as much if you're going to ? because we understand it's important to you. could edit and keep it shorter. >> i've been told that my whole life so much i like i want to have my daughters or you father self-portrait. >> and if you said it to me, i meant so did on our. >> are you kidding me? yeah, of course. joining us now are fox news contributors joe concha and charlie hurt. gentlemen, i don't know if you just been laughing really hard there because that was just so enjoyable and really believable or really that it's it it strikes even more , joe , at the legitimacy of the government in that this is what you would expect to see from state television and americans. we don't like it. there's serious issues in this country. we want leadership. and yet there he is with drew barrymore, who i think is probably a lovely woman. i'm glad she got through a difficult childhood in that she's a contributing to the american tax base here. but what do you what do you think about this kind of approach she's having now on the holiday? >> well, i'm with you, drew barrymore. we all loved it. came out forty years ago, just age ourselves completely. but people should understand that since the midterms, tami, that what you just played is literally the only sit down television interview that the president of the united states has done to this point. isn't that incredible that joe biden, after the midterms, does one interview not with 60 minutes, not with bret bair and not with the few legitimate journalists that would actually ask him good, solid questions. but he goes a drew barrymore instead. and what that tells you is that his handlers are petrified to put him in front of anybody who will ask him about, for instance, the u.s. southern border and the catastrophe that's going on down there. nearly five million people entering this country. there are twenty seven us states that have a lower population and five million a lower population than the number of people who have come in the first two years of this presidency. bottom line, tammy, this is a president when it comes to the press who does exactly what his handlers tell him. he takes orders. he doesn't make orders. the question is right. >> who's making the orders to him? you know, excellent points. and charlie, at the same time, we've we've found that about six percent of the american people have no real grasp of how serious the border situation is . maybe this strategy is working for them. maybe this happy talk. everything's fine. i'm we won the election on this. i'm the unifier. is this a thing that they should be doing? because it seems to be working at this point? oh, i think politically it it definitely is . working and it works as long as you have the media behind you ignoring a crisis, the likes of which we see at the border, which is entirely been manufactured by this man, by this man alone, his predecessor, donald trump, solved the immediate crisis of the flow, didn't didn't solve all the problems of immigration in this country, but solved the immediate problem of the flow of illegals coming into the into the country. and this man and that man alone right there on screen unilaterally decided to undo all of the policies of the previous administration and hand the entire border over to traffickers and drug lords and he's permanent human traffickers. he's perfectly content with that. that's what he wanted and that's what he got. and the media is perfectly happy to to sort of cover for him. but, you know, and , you know, joe biden is not only infinitely more divisive than his predecessor, i think that we've never had a president in history as divisive as this man. we've never had a president in history who called half the country semi fascist or accused half the country of being bull connor or jim or supporting jim crow laws. this is insane. and now that after his administration lied going into the last election, claiming that a million jobs have been created and actually only ten thousand jobs had been created ,and he's now going to blame voters, blame citizens, the people he supposedly works for who have decided not to get vaccinated or boosted and blaming them for his failures, his economic failures . it's just it it's beyond the pale and it is just beyond comprehension is certainly this is the same guy that stood in front of the federal hall in pennsylvania with the blood red background. and why i'm wondering at this point, since he was so comfortable doing that leading up to an election and it wasn't just calling republicans names this was about whoever voted for trump were white supremacists. were the fascists and all of that. so it was it was half of this country that he was smearing beyond republicans. why is he shifting right now? why is he pretending that he is once again the great unifier? >> what does this say to you? i don't think, tammy, he's shifting at all. i think his handlers are shifting the message, perhaps. and then he goes out there. you've seen anchorman, right? whatever you put it in the teleprompter, burgundy will read whatever you hand this president to read . he will . why are they doing it? making why are they doing it? what is the strategy? in all seriousness, what are they are they getting worried? i'm wondering if they're looking at the nature of what's happening with confidence and legitimacy. if they're thinking they went too far . >> is that possible? no, i don't think so. i think it's just a spur of the moment type of thing. we're standing where we're near the holidays, so you send out the the unifying message during the holidays. but to charlie's point, before the white house stood today behind calling the georgia law jim crow 2.0, this is what this white house does. they'll tell you it's eighty five degrees out right now in chicago, pittsburgh or here in jersey. and do so with a straight face. you can present indisputable facts like there was record voter turnout in two straight georgia elections since they change that voting law. and they'll tell you, no, no, no, it's still suppression going on in georgia. it's hard to vote, is swimming across the atlantic ocean and instead the media standing up and doing their job and saying this isn't only misleading, it's an intentional lie. they just shrug along with it as if they're in tacit agreement what this white house is . gentlemen, thank you very much. joe concha, charlie hurt, i appreciate you joining us tonight. it is perplexing, isn't it? everyone now as congress rams through the disastrous one point seven trillion dollar omnibus spending bill , we're learning more about the egregious, how egregious the spending really is . for example, it includes millions for gender equity and climate initiatives, hundreds of millions guys, but little for securing our southern border. even as the crisis rages on . but the government's reckless spending goes way beyond the omnibus, as senator rand paul today unveiled his annual festivus airing of the grievances detailing numerous examples of wasteful spending. for example, according to paul ,the nih spent two point three million dollars. and i just i just want you to be prepared for this injecting puppis with cocaine. i know there's some evil element to that, isn't there? but it doesn't stop there. the senator also says that over 30 million dollars of covid relief funds were used to buy luxury cars. and paul added, quote, ask yourself if the leadership of both parties is all that much different on spending or endless wars from bloated bureaucracy to ukraine. foreign aid to not funding our border security. it's hard to tell the difference. but just like i've been saying once again, it's washington versus the rest of us where the interests of hard working americans take a backseat to the special interests of a swamp. now, here for reaction, former republican senator scott brown , along with the founder of the committee to unleash prosperity, steve moore, and executive director of the heritage foundation, jessica anderson. thank you all for joining me tonight. i think that rand might be being a little coy in asking the question if there's any real difference. steve moore, between the parties. i mean, there is a unit party. there is an interest in the mentality and the cultural sentiment of washington. would you agree that, in fact, i sense that this argument between conservatives and republicans is really just part of the theater, that there's one interest and that is growing. government, which requires, of course, a growing contempt for the american people. great to be with you, tammy. merry christmas. i just want to correct you on one thing you said when you said there is not money for border border enforcement. actually , there is money for border enforcement. hundreds of millions of dollars. it's just not to protect our border. this stuff. so it's almost it's almost laughable to waste in this budget. and my my friends, that heritage of just literally scores and scores of pages of these programs. i think this is a total political disaster for the republicans, tammy, because they're in on this. i've been on this show many times blaming, you know, nancy pelosi and chuck schumer and biden for their overspending. and they did. they overspent by four trillion dollars. but this is one that is a bipartisan heist where you had more than two dozen republican senators vote with the democrats to pass this. and the reason they did, tammy, is they wanted the pork barrel spending for their districts. you know, and a great reference here to the heritage foundation. so let's go to jessica here for a second, because this is not new for the american people. this is they said we'd get back to normal. this is exactly normal, right? this kind of spending. this is how obamacare was passed. i understand the republicans don't necessarily vote for something or they vote to get it out of committee, but then i'll vote against it and of course, that wasn't the case with the omnibus. when it comes to the senate, the senate knew , though, that the republicans would have the house next year. they didn't seem to care about that. what do you think, jessica? this means when it comes to what the agenda of the republicans are and what the next two years is going to look like? well, the entire process that actually put together this deal has been completely fractured and is and is representative of how broken washington is . so many people in backrooms throughout the last six months were writing this bill . but you know who wasn't looking at it? the american people rank and file members of congress. we only had less than two days to read to understand what was in it and then to pass it. and so the process is a problem. but then, as steve mentioned, the actual policy needs that are in this package is a huge problem for the american people. over 70 hundred individual earmarks totaling over 15 billion for the american taxpayer are jam packed into this omnibus bill . and so what does that mean for us ? it means that our taxpayer dollars are going to fund lgbtq centers in new york and l.a. climate initiative, non gender conforming houses, housing projects, a michelle obama hiking trail for three and a half million dollars in georgia. that is not what our american tax dollars should be going for. and it's a shame that congress jam this through right before christmas scott. scott brown , it we don't i suppose if a town wants a a and museum, that's great. then have that town fund that right. do it. go fund me as far as i'm concerned. right now, we've got americans doing two and three gig kind of jobs to pay the rent and to taking a secondary job so that they can get enough gas to be able to go to their normal job. and we see this this vomitus spending of tax dollars that we also don't have is this it almost seems like a deliberate there's a word i want to use, but i can't say it's television . it's like a big foam finger hand to the american people in a way because of that, we vote sometimes against their wishes. what is feeding this this mania in washington? >> well, first of all, i obviously was there. i saw it firsthand. it's it's not new . it's not a surprise. remember, senator bunning had the very same type of documentation that rand paul put out about the tremendous waste. and before we asked the taxpayers for more money, we should get rid of the fraud ,waste and abuse and all these stupid little things that we read about. we just kind of scratch your head, go what? shooting cocaine into puppies? you can't. it's insane. say that seems like that seems that seems criminal to me being an animal lover. but more importantly, what it really shows me is that mitch mcconnell doesn't have a whole lot of faith in obviously, i don't think he's going to get it. but mccarthy because had they just did a short term continuing resolution, they would have had a better shot to get a better budget. so it shows me that mcconnell is more likely is feels better to work with schumer and the liberal democrats than work with his own party. and that's very sad because the the american people sent the house members to get a handle on our fiscal responsibility issues. because we the inflation is out of control. the heating oil still out of control. i mean, i went to today again to get some eggs bacardi to like six months ago goes five eighty nine . and people in there in washington just continuing to spend and spend and spend. so listen, people need to get involved enough. are we done already with this stuff? and this is like the last christmas, as you said, you know what finger saying? you know what? hey, we're here. too bad. yes. go in and just kind of live your boring lives and , you know, come on , we need to stand up and start work. >> this is the fight for getting there, forgetting what got this country trump. this is exactly the behavior. and it's as though now they're standing on the hill saying, we won, we've got you and we've got him. and look, we're now going to do this again at this. the american people are going to they're going to vote other people in and we all have an interest in the stability of this country. and this just doesn't seem to be the way to do it. scott, stephen , jessica, thank you for joining us tonight. appreciate it. now, coming up, will the koven insanity ever end? you won't believe what one celebrity said, and we will tell you when this special edition of "hannity" continues
