it feels kind of hard to imagine, but really issued imagine it, imagine going back to president donald trump. but not a 2016 version of donald trump, oh, no, four more years of donald trump who spent the past four years seething, raging and stoking his fantasies on america. because those folks, those are the six. and acted today, president biden is working to ensure that these hostage deal that he and his administration were deeply involved in negotiating comes to foreign, something israel set will happen on friday. getting hamas to agree to release the hostages and israel to release 150 palestinian prisoners to afford a cease-fire that would allow more humanitarian aid into gaza is a complex diplomatic achievement. the day, national security council spokesperson john kirby explained that directly to the american people. >> now, there is a lot more work to be done, even as we are glad to see the sausage is getting reunited with their families. we're going to keep supporting israel, and make sure they got a tool sank authorities they need to go after hamas. we will continue to work on increasing and accelerating the humanitarian assistance that is going into gaza. and, of course, we're not going to rest until we get all of the hostages back with their families where they belong. so a lot more work to do, but it's a good day today. >> that's what the biden administration -- as you could imagine, donald trump, twice impeached, four times indicted, but still likely 2024 republican presidential nominee, would handle a war in the middle east. what about here at home? the new york times and washington post both this week have described donald trump's recent rhetoric as fascist sounding and authoritarian. because, there are no other words for. that is what trump's vision for america is, folks. the times reports trump's agenda for the second term, these ambitions include using the justice department to take vengeance on his political rivals planning a vast expansion of the presidential power and installing ideologically aligned lawyers and key positions to bless his contentious actions. here is someone who worked in the trump policies the stakes. >> when we talk about the next election in 2024, i don't like to play a doomsday hypothesis. it does look like he is going to be the republican nominee, as of right now. if donald trump is elected president again in 2024, i do fear that it will be the last election where we are voting for a democracy. because if he is elected again, i don't think that will be voting on the same constitution that we would be if joe biden is elected in 2024. >> the last election where we are voting for democracy. the biden campaign has already started reminding the american people of that stark contrast between president biden and donald trump that will be on the ballot next year. as part of a series of highlighting the consequences of trump's america in 2025, the biden campaign is warning american voters about trump's vision on guns and immigration, which has been a rallying cry for white nationalists, may i add. but by this time next, year we will know if the trump doth to our constitution has been eradicated, and whether american democracy is safe for not. joining us now is quinton folks, principal deputy campaign manager for the biden reelection campaign. quinton, i just want to start by asking you, i know lots of folks will be home with their families, over the next couple of days. i talk to people across the country regularly, as i know you do, voters are concerned. democrats are concerned about 2024, and president biden's ability to beat donald trump. what do you say to those concerns democrats and voters? >> first of all, thank you for having me, simone. it was good to be with you. look, i don't to start on a negative tone. i want to start on a possessive, thanksgiving is tomorrow, and we have a lot to be thankful for. donald trump is not an officer now. for me, i am thankful for the fact that we have a president, and we live in a country where costs are coming down, jobs are coming back, and manufacturing is booming. i'm thankful for the fact that we have a president and officer now that does not believe that ripping children away from the families, banning muslims and rounding up latinos is doing anything to make a safer. it goes against everything we stand for as our nation. i think when we have a president that is willing to stand up to the nra to protect our children, i'm thankful that we have a president that is fighting for more freedom, not less. i echo that we have a president that is fighting to restore roe, not running bragging about taking it away. finally, i am thankful that the media has finally woken up and reported on how disasters a second battle for presidency would be. those voters around the country, i think we have a lot to be thankful for about what we have already accomplished, and i know that together, will continue for this campaign to communicate all the reasons that we have to be thankful and also or donald trump wants to take this country and the republican party want to take this country we are continuing to hammer that message home. >> clinton, i know president biden well, and he says, don't compare me to the almighty, compare me to the alternative. yes, there is a contrast that the campaign is now starting to withdraw from donald trump more, a broader line, but there is also voters want to know why that one too before a president biden and vice president kamala harris. how do you communicate the accomplishments of the administration to voters across the country in a way where they can feel it? >> look, i mean, this will have to be a multi faceted campaign. we'll have to reach voters all over the place, because we live in a fractured media environment, more fractured than it has ever been before. our campaign on television, radio, and digital right now are communicating to voters, in plain language, black voters, latino voters, a voters, -- when it comes to president biden and vice president harris ignoring calls of living in america, lori to cost of prescription drugs, the focus of giving people their rights back, the right to choose and have autonomy over their bodies, in stark contrast with the republican party and the maga agenda that is focused on getting tax breaks to the wealthy, rounding up immigrants, putting people in detention camps. so, we are going to continue to stay focused and double down on everything that we need to do to communicate. we have a plan, and we're up on that now doing the, so that when we get to next year, we can continue to do it more effectively. that is where our posture is and our head heading into next year's. >> there is a record number investment of ads for trump's reelection effort has made. what about folks on the ground? when can folks expect to be seeing people knocking on their doors and their community? when will you ramp up the effort? >> look, we're getting forward to put boots on the ground in states early into next year. we know we have to communicate, and boots on the ground as one of the most important campaign aspects of future voters. it's something that we're excited to do, to get folks on the ground, communicate to their peers, we think it's really important that it's not just the campaign on television, radio, print and digital, as important as it is right now in this face doing it. but also people know what's at stake. young voters, voters of color, hispanic voters, latino voters, aapi voters. getting out in their communities, telling their friends and neighbors about how important the election is and what is at stake. what will we get if we go back to a second donald trump agenda or just a maga agenda. that the republicans are putting forward. we are very focused on that right now, as we head into next year, we'll definitely see more boots on the ground. >> quinton, there is a robust, large number of individuals running for president, not just on the republican party ticket, but independents and even on the democratic party ticket. congressman dean phillips, rfk junior. one, how concerned are you and the campaign for the two parties are? and i would love your response to dean phillips remarks yesterday, i believe, to the atlantic vice president harris, noting that she thinks she's a lovely lady, but the votes are out there, and the number of people that he has spoken to say that she's not up for the job. >> i'll take the second one for us. look, the vice president is not worrying about what is written in the atlantic. what the vice president is worried about is pushing back against maga extremists are hell-bent on ripping away a woman's right to view and choose. the vice president is but top of the young voters and hearing her concerns, bringing them back to the administration. the vice president is concerned about making sure that we don't continue to have guns and shootings across america. the vice president has been the most effective partner to president biden over the course of the historic accomplishments that they have done for the american people, and that is where the focus will remain. and to the first question, in regards to the third party candidates, look, at the end of the day, there is only going to be too viable options to the presidential race -- joe biden and whoever the republican party puts forward. our campaign is focused on making sure that we keep our heads down, communicate the message, do all the things that i have mentioned in my previous answer semi sure that we get the voters. but at the end of the day, voters will see that this election is a choice about at the end of the day, what joe biden and kamala harris are doing to deliver real, tangible results that the american people care about, and start contrast with what the republican party is trying to bring to the table. >> all right, it's a long way until november 2024, but we will be chatting again very soon. happy takes giving, good to see you. quentin fulks, appreciate your time. >> thank you, symone, happy thanksgiving. >> happy thanksgiving. joining us now is kate degruyter, the senior director of communications at third away. kate, i want to start where we ended with quentin fulks. you've heard my question about their party, and the biden campaign is that there are only two viable options here. talk to me a little bit about the third-party threat though. i understand what they are saying. there are two viable options. they're saying it's democrats or republicans, but the third party made a difference in 2016, and it will make a difference in 2024. should they be more concerned? >> quentin fulks it's exactly right. there are two viable options. there is a zero chance that interparty candidate will win the white house in 2024, but that does not mean that they are not concerned. it does take a lot of notes in the right places to make a difference. i'll give you two examples, there were 86,000 fewer third-party votes in cuba county in arizona from 2016 to 2020, joe biden's margin and the state was just 10,000 votes. similarly, there were about 18,000 fewer votes in milwaukee county alone, and what would have been wisconsin. biden won the state by about 20,000 votes in 2020. the challenge the all of us who are concerned about the health of our democracy, keeping donald trump out of the white house is going to be to make very clear that any third-party that denies the anti trump coalition in 2024 is dangerous. >> kate, are there any third party candidates that could be a bigger threat to donald trump than to president biden. i think it might be rfk junior? >> well, we have not seen that. obviously, polls are still in the fields, and we'll have to see. but what we are very concerned about is that donald trump's floor and his ceiling are basically the same. so, we have all seen how terrible his coalition is, alarmingly so, in my opinion, but it does not take very much to pull apart the pro democracy coalition that gave joe biden the white house. so, our concern is first and foremost on no labels, which is a new group on the scene. they've actually won ballot access already in tough states, and that includes three of the major battlegrounds. we're obviously going to keep an eye on others their party candidates. so far, rfk is not on the ballot, and i would know that because he is a named candidate, he is going to need our money to get on the ballot. so, that means that money from big donors will get him there. he's got much more difficult path. that is one of the areas where no labels has an advantage. they are skirting the rules to operate as a dark money group, while they are pursuing non access. so, they are able to use a limited amounts of money from anonymous donors to help fund on the ground access campaign. >> how should democrats respond to this third data in advance of next year's election, kate?
