we'll not be open to doing nothing. inaction is not an option. >> that was moments ago. a lot in there to talk about. peter doocy is standing by with what we just learned from the president. hi, peter. >> good afternoon. something else president biden said, his american jobs plan is the biggest investment in american jobs since world war ii. >> i'm not trying to punish nick. but dammit, maybe because i come from a middle class neighborhood, i'm sick and tired of ordinary people being fleeced. >> so he wants to pay for the huge plan with increases in corporate taxes. determining how many jobs have going to come out of the american jobs act requires you to listen very carefully. >> an analysis was run showing the economy would create more than three million jobs than if it doesn't. >> there's a math problem there. the biden white house likes to the projection from moodies. it would create 19 million jobs. only 2.7 million more than moodies would be created if there's another another multi-trillion dollar government stimulus package and nothing happens. critics point out that officials have been saying it only creates -- they've not been saying it only creates 2.7 million jobs. they have been adding that to the 16 million and going with 19 million. for the pay for, president biden announced awhile ago there's some wiggle room when it comes to how many he will raise or he would approve of raising the corporate tax rate. he wants it at 28. joe manchin wants it's at 25. he's suggesting there's somewhere in the middle there. he's talking about the package in historic -- using historic terms. he says the next ten years this package would mean more change in this country than in the private use 50. he's talking about trains that could go across the country as fast as a plane right now and planes that would go around the world in about an hour. martha? >> martha: here comes the hyper link. so excited. thanks very much, peter doocy. david asman joins me. >> great to be here. >> martha: here's the equation as i see it. spend $2.5 trillion and the president is telling us that you're going to get 2.7 million more jobs than you would if you didn't spend that. is that correct? >> that's correct if -- all of these figures are so phony, martha. it's tough to keep up with what's going on. one of the biggest phony lines i heard over and over is he's going to raise the corporate rate to 28%. it comes in 32.5%. it's higher than any other nation in the oecd. so we're going to go back to the old system of driving businesses, corporations to low tax countries like ireland, for example. that's where a lot of companies fled to during the obama-biden years. what brought them back was lowering the rate from 35%, which joe biden said was too high, but we're getting close to that at 32.5%, which is the new biden rate. but that -- when we lowered the rates to 21%, all the companies came back, re-established profit taking centers here in the united states because the tax they had to pay was so much lower on profits. so you're going to have the reverse of that. the biden team is abing we're going to come up with some plan to unify all corporate tax rates in the world. good luck with that. >> martha: that ain't happening. >> some countries somewhere is going to say gee, i can attract a lot of business by lowering my corporate rate to 10, 12% and -- >> martha: every country wants to be competitive with the corporate tax rate. if the united states is one number, they're going to cut it 2% lower and trying to draw people in. one of the things that struck me, he talked about -- let's play this sound bite about china first. >> you think china is waiting around to invest in this digital infrastructure? on research and development? i promise you, they are not waiting. they're counting on american democracy to be too slow, too limited and to divided to keep pace. >> martha: curious what you think about that. >> what i think about that, remember china is a communist country. they have slave labor. president biden is talking about how great unions are. they developed the middle class in the 30s and 40s. if we're going to have slave labor that work for the government or government-related companies to get 10,000, $12,000 a year, fine. we can have everybody in america be equal and poor if we want that. we don't want that. we strive for something better in this country. the reason we're able to achieve that is because of competition. as long as we have that competition, we'll be fine. if you keep nipping it in the bud by taking more and more for the government itself and giving the government a monopoly position over private enterprise in america, we all suffer. >> martha: one of the things that struck me, he talked about v.a. hospitals and how discouraging it is that they're falling apart. in disrepair. you can extend that to roads, bridges. i thought to myself, we have a bigger tax base -- the united states government has a huge tax base. it grows pretty much every year. so we don't -- it's not for lack of money that we have potholes and bad airports. it's bureaucracy and an inability to use the money to do these things that are doing. >> the trump tax cuts didn't cost people money. didn't cost america money. not only did they bring jobs back to the united states, but the tax revenue -- this is the congressional budget office report from fiscal year 2019. tax receipts, total tax receipts were up by 4% in 2019. >> martha: after the trump tax cuts. >> rates came down. so much more economic activity that the revenue received by the government increased. if you want to increase revenue, lowering the rates is the way to do it. the converse of that, raising rates is one way the government might lose money. >> martha: can stifle economic activity and make businesses make other decisions. less hiring, less expansion. thanks, david. we can count on you. good to see you today. take care: ahead this hour, house republicans are on the certain border and about to speak about what they're seeing. we'll take you there live. we'll also take a look at this. this child's heart breaking plea, which says it all. certainly what we have seen over the last 1 1/2 days when we were border patrol agents yesterday, they told us that last month was the busiest month in the history of border patrol since they have been keeping records. since they have been keeping data. the busiest month on record. 40% of the manpower is used for processing illegal migrants. yesterday we saw at the donna facility one facility house 533 children. there were 527 kids in the pod alone. when they say this is chaos like what we have not seen is true. it's all driven by policy as we heard from the folks that spoke to us today. the policy says that we will no longer keep the remain in mexico policy in place as we evaluate the claims of people trying to get into our country. the policy says that says we're not going to deport individuals and the announcement from the current administration saying they won't continue construction on the wall. that is why we see this amazing surge, this unbelievable surge under like any as mr. judd said, unlike any we've seen in the history of border patrol. it raises the obvious question and scott had said this in the roundtable we just had, raises the obvious question, is this intentional? is this deliberate? is the biden administration imposing this policy because this is what they want? i don't know what other conclusion you can reach, which is troubling. the solution is that's because of title 42, which is effective only during the covid pandemic. border patrol warns when 42 goes away, our border is completely gone. this is getting worse by the day. 100 family units illegally crossed the week of the election. it increased to 1,100 family units. it reached 15,000. there were 100,000 total encounters in february. folks, that's the population of the city of south bend, indiana. in march, that number grew to 170,000. that is the entire population of salem, oregon. that doesn't include the 130,000 estimated got-aways. that is the entire population of cedar to enter illegally this year. we're feeding the mexican crime cartels. the crime cartels are taking in roughly a half a billion a month through this human trafficking made possible by the president's policies. illegals arrive deeply in their debt and in effect become servants. the debts are enforced by threats against family members that remain and the mass importation gives the crime cartels the steady scream of new resources for the gangs. the most chilling words was spoken by a border patrol agent that reminded us our border is your border. the illegals don't stay in border towns. they're on their way to communities across the country. they're guaranteed not to be deported even if they commit crimes. now our entire country is a sanctuary nation. the terrible impact this will have on public safety, local schools, local resources, housing supply, public schools, hospital emergency rooms and the ability of working class americans to earn a living will be felt in every community in our country unless the policies change. among his first acts, joe biden abandoned construction of the border wall. he announced illegal immigrants wouldn't be deported and ending the remain in mexico policy for asylum seekers. this sent a powerful message across the third world. gallup estimates there's 42 million people in latin america and the caribbean that want to come to the united states. now they can and now they are. >> congressman sparks from indiana. >> thank you for being here. i can tell this is my second trip to the border in the last few weeks. i can tell the lack of leadership from this administration creates a real serious crisis at the border. it's really escalated. there's a lot of discussion if it's a crisis or not. let's talk about some numbers. 40% of our border patrol agents are busy processing people and changing diapers. this means that they cannot do their job protecting the borders. what does this mean? it means that mexican cartels controlling the border, it means that we have thousands of people just at this location per day crossing the border that they see them on the video but they cannot act to that it means they're so overwhelmed that they have to release 12,000 families, 12,000 people in the country without going to processing. it has to happen. is it not a crisis? we saw terrorists crossing recently, this is a national security and humanitarian crisis. let's look at other numbers. we have carteling making half a billion in a month on human trafficking and making these people into slaves. we have a situation that is six times increase in drug smuggling. that is not a crisis? we have a situation where parents send 6 and 8-year-old kids to cross the border. these kids are crying. because they created perverse incentives. if i sent my two teenage daughters through the border and also let them to sit in pods, i would be in jail as an american mother. so that is not a crisis? this is a crisis, not a texas crisis, it's coming to indiana and all other states. we don't have a border from texas. right now we don't have a border. it's a huge problem. it's a financial expenditure for us. we cannot take care of our homeless veterans but spending over $800 per day housing these people in hotels. with this administration, you know, this is not a change of policy? are they naive or incompetent. there is a change in policy. the long-term solutions that we have to have good legal immigration system and legal infrastructure. be also some short term solutions that needs to happen. this administration has to deal with asylum seekers and set up operations to deal with them quickly, this administration has to fix some of the border walls that have started to be built because it created hazards. also safety hazards. this administration needs to think what kind of policy we're going to have to let our border patrol to do their job protecting the border. they need to send hhs to help them and have proper tools and finances for them. after section 42 goes away, we're really in trouble. hopefully you can have this conversation as we talk to republicans and republicans colleagues in this administration because it's not acceptable. thank you. >> gentleman from the great statute of utah. >> thank you. first of all, i'd like to thank in a big way our heros, the minute and women on the borders. americans find out who is saving our country and our culture here. i have 15 grandchildren. when i talk about this, think, think deep, about your kids, your grandkids. it's interesting we have these young people walking hundreds and thousands of miles to get to a place that parents think is safe. we sat in a -- we went through the process yesterday. i saw this 7-year-old girl, autistic. couldn't tell who the parents were. i sat there as we talked with these great men and women. i glanced over every few minutes. she had tears in her eyes. she's been there 17 days and still can't stop crying. we saw video of a 9-year-old young boy, left abandoned in the desert. a young lady now cannot talk because of the trauma of being gang raped. these are children, my friends. whether you're american or mexican or guatemalan, these are 0 children. we have the administration doesn't have the backbone to come down here and give encouragement to the great men and women that are overwhelmed right now. they don't have the backbone to see the misery that this policy is giving to the boys and girls, babies, men around women that take their trip. many will never make it. there's people that you and i will never ever meet. the parents never ever see again. they're going to die alone. willing to travel on this trek. we talk about everything else but the issues here. i don't care democrats or republicans. we're people that love our nation, people love our culture and this has been on purpose. to amass invasion of cultures is not ours. we don't give these young boys and girls a chance to a simulate. it's on purpose. i'm going to say to president biden and vice president harris, gets some backbone. get some compassion. come down to the border and see what mess you have made down here that we're trying to fight to save our nation. by the way, i don't want to ever hear the word reparation again from these democrats. reparation is for slavery. we're seeing slavery today. human trafficking, my friends. sex trafficking, my friends. today. close their eyes as if nothing is happening. let's get on as a country, make sure that this message goes out strong. i don't care what side of the aisle we're on. we love our kids, love our nation, love our culture. we're not going to let the hard left destroy and bringing misery to our nation. thank you. >> congressman bigs from arizona. >> thank you, congressman jordan. i'm so pleased to be with my colleagues on the border with them visiting this part of the border. i'm pleased with the roundtable we just had and appreciate the ranchers, law enforcement, the policy advisers, the border patrol agents, representatives that are participating in the roundtable to give us advice. let me tell you, i've been to the border many times. been down to this border when it's been under control, operational control and coming back the last day or so and seeing something that is horrific to see. it's not humane. the policies of this administration are inhumane. this president must own the catastrophe that he's created. the human suffering and misery he created. two weeks ago, he pointed to kamala harris to be the point person. she's crisscrossed the country, taken holidays. can't be bothered to visit the border to see what her administration policies have brought. let me tell you a story. two quick stories and tell you how you get out of this. number 1, small community in my state, hela bend, the number 2 right now for immigrants through the tucson sector. small community. no social services whatsoever. they get a phone call. they're going to bring 16 people in that community. doesn't sound like a lot to you. a community with no hospital, no social service safety net whatsoever. they can't even rent vans to transport them into phoenix to get help. they have to use personal vehicles and get volunteers to drive these 16 people, which are all six family units. five from venezuela, one from chile. there's no guarantee that won't happen again. and if you think if you live in an interior community, won't happen to you. it will happen. people don't say on the border. they're being released by the thousands every day in to the united states interior. about 1 1/2 weeks ago, two weeks ago, i was done in the arizona border, a please called three points near san miguel. there were 16 people on the other side of the border. they're runners. they're drug runners. we didn't see anything else that day. but that night, a group of 112 was apprehended, surrendered. in that group, the oldest american was 94 years old. 94. the youngest, four years old. no parents, no guardians, no siblings, no aunt and uncle, no cousins, no grandparents. somebody put that 4-year-old into the hands of the ruthless sex, drug and human traffickers that we call the cartels. the cartels are controlling our borders. no person crosses this river without the cartels knowing about it and approving of it. the same is said on the 2,300 miles of the border. there's some things that need to happen to bring this under control. get our nation back quite frankly. the first is this president has got to stand up and say no, you cannot come into our country. we will send you back. you must come legally. it's his voice during the campaign that he wanted to see a surge on the border. you must take that stand. then the second thing he must do, he must reinstitute the mpp program. he needs to get back to mexico. that's why the president of mexico says this is biden's mess. it is biden's mess. he needs to reengage with the northern triangle states of guatemala, honduras and el salvador. make sure that they're engaged. he needs to rescind the 1,400 per illegal alient incentive from the covid package. quite frankly, what he could do that would be effective is to not -- to instruct the asylum -- the immigration judges to not worry about the asylum backlog. there's hundreds of thousands of those people in the country waiting for a court hearing. guess what? they're not coming back to court. we have people on the border today that coming across because of the promise of asylum that this administration has given. you can establish the courts, they can grant due process and remove people that have fraudulent claims, which is somewhere in the neighborhood of 90% of people that make an asylum claim. you do those things, you can do them quickly, this problem, this crisis, this catastrophe begins to go away in short order. very quickly. because people respond to incentives, cartel is maybe a crime organization but it's a business organization. they respond to the incentives. you take them away, people will stay home. we can restore order on the border. thank you. >> than you, andy. i want to let sheriff lauderback speak. >> thank you, congressman. thank you to the men and women of the u.s. border patrol. thank you to the men and women of ice and immigrations, customs and enforcement. thank you to the texas troopers that are here. thanks to the texas game wardens that are here. thank you to all of the sheriff deputies and law enforcement in the state of texas that are here facing a catastrophic crisis that we have in our county on the border and in the interior of texas that are spreading out to the united states. thank you again for the services you provide us here in this nation. the urgency of
