information, we the jury find the defendant kyle h. rittenhouse not guilty. eric: rittenhouse, as you can see, collapsing in apparent relief that the jury did agree with his defense, deciding he shot those two protesters and wounded a third all in self-defense. his mother now says if kyle had to do it all over again, he would not have gone to kenosha in the first place, this as he recounts the tension she felt waiting for the verdict that cleared her son. >> i did not know anything. i was just praying to god when i was walking down, and i was scared. i can tell kyle was scared, my girls were scared. and waiting for that verdict felt like forever. eric: she sat down for that exclusive interview i with ow alexis mcadams who is live with more on that. hi, alexis. >> reporter: that's right. the rittenhouse family telling me this has been an absolutely motional roller coast for them. they've been waiting for that verdict to come many and just talking about the very tense moments inside the kenosha county courthouse of before they left the state due to major safety concerns, wendy rittenhouse sitting down with fox news, telling me about those moments leading up to that not guilty verdict. she said things were so tense because she wasn't sure if her son was going the jail or coming home. >> it felt like a ton of bricks just lifted off my shoulders. >> reporter: for the first time in a year and a half, the rittenhouse family breathing a seeing of relief. the teen now free. >> we, the jury, find the defendant, kyle h. rittenhouse, not guilty. >> reporter: kyle rittenhouse dropping to his knees, acquitted of all charges. >> is there anyone that does not agree with the verdicts as read? >> reporter: he was on trial for shooting three men, killing two during unrest in kenosha last summer. you walked into the courtroom there, how were you feeling when you heard that not guilty verdict? >> once that verdict was read, i was, i was so e leaved -- relieved for him, and i started crying. my girls were crying. just seeing kyle's face and hands just collapsing to the floor, it was just overwhelming. >> reporter: the family knows not everyone believes justice was served. >> it's not about winning or losing. there was two people that did pass away, and families have to grieve. and my family has to -- >> reporter: rate. enhouse claiming he fired in self-defense. >> he does have remorse. but talking to him now, he would never have went down there if this ever happened again. he would never. >> reporter: once the verdict came down, the family rushing out of court due to safety concerns. >> we were, like, running, like, down hallways, going through elevators. >> reporter: what do you see your son's life looking like going forward from now? >> it's going to take time, you know in -- you know? he wants to go to school, he wants to play with his dog milo. it's going to be different for him, because there's going to be people out there who wants to hurt him. it's over, but there's another chapter in our lives. >> reporter: now, right now as the cries for justice reform grow louder especially here in kenosha, the family tells me they're looking to pursue legal action because they believe kyle rittenhouse was slandered before he ever got his day in court. eric and arthel? eric: alexis mcad ams, thank you. arthel: closing arguments are set for tomorrow in the trial of three white men charged with killing an unarmed black man, 25-year-old ahmaud arbery, last year in brunswick, georgia. the defense claims their clients were a acting to stop burglaries and that travis mcmichael shot arbery in self-defense. the prosecution saying the actions of the three men not justified. charles watson live in brunswick, georgia, right now with more. >> reporter: hi, arthel. both the prosecution and defense will have three hours apiece to deliver their opening -- their closing arguments, rather, on monday before this case is handed to the jury to make a decision, and they'll certainly have a lot to consider in the killing of ahmaud arbery including testimony from the man who fired the fatal shots on the stand, travis mcmichael. he a said he was forced to shoot arbery after the 25-year-old grabbed his shotgun. >> he grabbed the shotgun, and i believe i was struck. >> [inaudible] >> i shot him. it was obvious that he was attacking me. if he would have got the the shotgun from me, it was a life or death situation. >> reporter: now, throughout the trial the defense for travis mcmichael, his father greg and william ryan have said the three men chased arbery to make a lawful citizens' arrest, and all that was predicated on their concerns about property crime in the neighborhood and them thinking arbery may have been armed. the the prosecutor tried to lay doubt to those claims pointing out a arbery ran away9 from the defendants for 5 minutes without saying a word to them as they pounced on mcmike ool's -- mcmichael's claims that he grabbed the gun. >> the sheriff asked you do you remember he grabbed the gun, and your response was, honestly, i cannot remember. >> i don't know why i said he did not have the gun at that second, but that's what i said. >> reporter: now, if the jury gets the case this week, there are some concerns that deliberations could run right into thanksgiving. if that is the case, defense attorney jason sheffield says he expects the jury to take a pause and continue deliberations after the holiday. arthel? >> reporter: arthel, good afternoon to you. literally two minutes before you came to us, right over my shoulder here down these railroad tracks we had a group of about 10 runners take off across. we've got our drone overhead right now. i can't see what the drone sees. we sent the crew to find those guys, so you might be able -- okay. we can see those runners. i couldn't tell how many there was. it looks like 5-10 guys went running right along those train tracks behind us going through the brush. these are what we call the runners, these are the guys who do not want to be caught. obviously, you can see that. earlier this morning we had a bunch of family units, but these are typically the single adult men who do not want to be caught. they will work their way through the brush, do whatever they can to not be apprehended. but as you can see, we've got our drone overhead of them right now. there's no border patrol right now. we don't see agents in the immediate area, but they have cameras and sensors, so it's the only a matter of time until they're here to track these guys down. we'll show you those runners, but take a look at this video. once we got out here this morning, these are the family units. these are the people who do not run. it was at least 100 of them who showed up here. the consistency here is really remarkable. you see this basically every morning. we mentioned how they are coming in from all over the world. yesterday we had albanians and romanian, people from sri lanka, china, west africa. you name it, they are here. take a look at the second piece of video we hot from our drone of. again, these are family units looking to turn themselves in. there are two classes out here, the families and the runners. we're showing you both this morning. the families turn themselves in knowing they will likely be released into the country if they've got a young child with them. the runners don't want to be caught, and what they're doing is trying to evade border patrol. take a look at this photo from friday in roma, texas, given to us by dps. they busted a human smuggler who was bringing migrants across the rio grande on a raft. they took him down. he was a 19-year-old mexican national. they say she brought across 79 -- he brought across 79 illegal immigrants, they arrested him, and those 79 illegal immigrants were referred to border patrol. to wrap it up, take a look at these photos here, another smuggling situation. this out of the laredo sector where border patrol pulled over a car, they see a toolbox, two illegal immigrants hiding inside. they will find whatever they can to try to hide and smuggle themselves into the country. back out here live, and we still have our fox drone up. this is something we see basically every morning out here. these family units will come across. it sucks up border patrol resources, and then the runners try to make it because they know border patrol's business processing these families, and they're trying to find weak spots where there are no agents. still there are no agents where we are right now. back to you. arthel: that's what i wanted to ask you, is border patrol just understaffed? how long is this going to keep happening? >> reporter: they are understaffed. they're overwhelmed. and the thing is normally they would be out here patrolling the front lines, but because so many family units are constantly coming over every single morning, the cartels time it that way. they end them knowing all these agents are going to have to show up, do the paperwork, send them away buses, process them, and then you see the runners try to make it through. arthel: and finally to you, bill, i mean, is somebody going to go down there to help border patrol to fortify their short staff? >> reporter: yeah. texas dps is down here. we actually saw dozens of troopers down the road about 30 minutes ago, so we're going to wrap up and see where some of those units are. yes, texas dps and the national guard are both down here trying to help out. arthel: okay. all right, bill melugin, thanks for that great report in that hoya, texas. eric. eric: the person who could help do that and call in law enforcement joins us now. you saw those runners fleeing on live national television here on fox news, just a stark and brains example of how out of control the southern border seems to be. that man live is texas the attorney general ken paxton. mr. paxton, mr. a.g., you're seeing these guys run. does it make you feel like you want to get on the phone and say go down to la joya? it seems like they're running all over the place. >> yeah. this is déjà vu all over again. it continues to happen. the biden administration is not doing what they need to do to stop this. as a matter of fact, they're invite ising it. i've talked to border patrol many times. they are frustrated because they get diverted by having to deal with logistics and handling these families. we try to help with texas dps, with the national guard, but there's still not enough to stop the imitation that the biden administration is allowing to happen. eric: how outmanned are you? >> it's significant. i feel bad for these border agents who are risking their lives, trying to do their jobs. they're not encouraged to do their jobs, not encouraged to protect the border. they're not allowed to have the resources they need. they're not putting up the wall which border patrol would love to have for their own safety, let alone the safe the -- safety of those along the border. it's incredibly frustrating when they're not given the resources needed and, again, they're putting their lives at risk to help us. eric: near record levels in many years, almost 2 million in the last fiscal year. how do we stop? you just mentioned the wall in your state, texas. they allocated 250 million to build their own wall. >> it's clear to me the biden administration does not want to stop this. they have changed all the policies that stopped this. the trump administration if had implemented the remain in mexico program. they would start deporting criminals we had in our jails. the biden administration stopped all of that. we've sued them seven times. we're trying to get that implemented because we've won. they're supposed to be implementing the stay in mexico program so these people don't come in, claim asylum like they're doing and then disappear for years and we never find them. we're doing our best. the biden administration is fighting us every inch of the way, trying to get as many people in here illegally whether they're criminals, whether they're transporting drugs. it's all good with them. eric: do you think it's fair to say that it's good that the biden administration is encouraging drug dealers and criminals to come in? >> absolutely. they know exactly what's happening. they know when our border agents are busy taking care of hundreds of thousands of people every month, they know that these cartels are gaining strength. they charge for almost everybody that crosses the border is not getting across without paying the carr tells i -- cartels an average of $8,000, that's what i've heard from border patrol and from the people i've interviewed that have crossed the border. it's significant money. the biden administration knows this. they're aiding and abetting the cartels in not only the transportation of drugs, but also the transportation of human beings. eric: the administration is expelling large numbers of people, but what do you want to see them do? i mean, the vice president is the border czar. what should the administration do? >> i would encourage them to follow federal law are, to do what they are supposed to do under federal law. these laws have been passed by congress, signed by other presidents, and the biden administration on day one said we're not enforcing these laws. if they would merely do what the trump administration did which was enforce federal law are, put the remain in mexico program back in place, deport criminals and start building this wall, we could have an immigration policy that workings. and then if we want to address adding a greater number of people to come here legally, i have no problem with that as long as we're forcing our law -- enforcing our laws. eric: folks watching us right no in maine, jim,out in south dakota -- illinois, they have said this doesn't affect me. but you're saying, what are you seeing? you get it first in texas. what are you seeing and how does that affect the the rest of us. >> well, certainly, they're not going to be affected like the people along the border whose property is damaged, who are scared to go out at night because they don't know who's crossing illegally, cartel members, drug runners, the runners you all just showed on it's are probably not people they want crossing their property. they have no choice. this is going to affect the entire nation because these people are moved around secretly overnight on planes and buses. some of them have covid, some of them are drug runners. they are potentially criminals. they could be terrorists, we don't know. we just know they're being moved all over the country, and we aren't able to keep track of 'em. eric: it is pretty astounding especially when we just saw four of those runners live with apparent no consequence with. texas attorney general ken paxton. mr. attorney general, thank you for joining us. >> thank you. have a great day. good to see you. eric: arthel? as in free? just like schwab. schwab! look forward to planning with schwab. ♪ ♪ arthel: so the disturbing story of the missing chinese tennis if champ peng shuai taking a sharp turn with reports she had a video call with the president of the international olympic committee saying she was safe and well. this just hours after chinese state media posted images that purport to show her at a beijing tennis tournament today and at a restaurant with friends last night. global concern for peng has grown since she was last seen in public november 2:00 after she posted -- 2nd after she posted on chinese social media that a former vice premier had coerced her into sex. gordon chang, author of "the coming collapse of china," and "the great u.s./china tech war." gordon, i mean, i don't trust anything, i don't trust video. i'm asking you, do you believe peng shuai is alive or is her life in danger and maybe she's being held as a prisoner? and what's your take? >> well, she's alive. i do believe she's in danger, and i don't believe that she can speak freely. remember that that she did something which was unprecedented in the history of the people's republic of china. she accused a former member of the politboro standing committee which is the highest group in china of basically rape. she accused he and his wife of rape. so really what we're talking about here is a contest, and one of these two people -- either the wife or peng pressure are going to be in grave danger. we don't know which one, but at time clearly she's not safe. arthel: and, of course, china is covering up the truth about pension if shoe way. -- peng shuai. how can china continue to be recognized as a legitimate country operating in geopolitics, in the global market while continuing oppressive behavior and violating human rights? >> el, it shouldn't. and -- well, it shouldn't. and one of the things we've seen recently is that peng's predicament has really given energy to the move to move the olympics. if if you go back to october, the boycott movement was essentially dead. but her plight has energized this, and that's the reason why i think she called the head of the international olympic committee instead of, for instance, steve simon, head of the women's tennis association, who's been leading the charge for her around the world. and if i were pe ng and i wanted to ahire people i was safe -- assure people, i'd call up fox news, some media organization outside china and have a candid conversation, but she didn't do that which means that beijing is really worried that the ioc will move the games from beijing. arthel: well, i don't want to sidetrack on that. i read that my interpretation of what i read was that the ioc, they're not too keen on that idea. the winter olympics set to be in beijing, be held there in february. meanwhile though, president biden and xi jinping, china's president, met virtually last monday, as you know. so, you know, gordon, as dependent as our country is on china for trade, i mean, does the u.s. have any consequential leverage over china? >> well, the u.s. is by far stronger society when key yo look at -- when you look at metrics. and the one reason china looks so so strong is for various reasons, this is not just president biden, but virtually all of his predecessor, have decided not to use the full extent of the leverage over china. and so, therefore, beijing has seen a green light to do things which not only americans, but people around the world don't like. so this is bipartisan foreign policy which has allowed china a lot of room which it shouldn't have. arthel: yeah. because, you know, xi jinping feels empowered, emboldened to tell the president of the united states that encouraging taiwan taiwanese independence would be, quote, playing with fire. i mean, listen, china knows no one wants a nuclear world war iii. so how can the u.s. really stop china from invading taiwan. that's their next move. >> i think president biden, his instincts are to defend taiwan. we've heard that, runs, in a number of comments -- for instance, in a number of comments he's made. i think he needs to sit in front of the the television the cameras and say the united states will defend taiwan, and we will extend a mutual defense treaty the taipei if they ask. people are say this is risky and dangerous, but we are in a situation because of our misguided policies over the course of decades, that means there are no safe options left, arthel. arthel: so, you know, it makes me nervous because we have -- but russia has nor. so what is -- has more. so what is retaliation in terms of a military or movement, what does that even look likesome. >> well, obviously, both countries, china and the united states, don't want to use their most fearsome arsenals. but the one thing that's concerning, arthel, is china is rapidly building up its nuclear weapons arsenals and not so much because they want to launch, but because they want to intimidate. we have seen this because threats that have been made against the u.s. periodically, unprovoked threats to nuke american cities, plus also starting in july threats to incinerate cities in japan and australia. so these are really weapons of intimidation. but once you start to intimidate with your most fearsome weapons, then anything can happen. arthel: oh, boy. all right, gordon -- [laughter] i wanted to have you on because you with break down like no one else, and we'll see you again because this is an evolving story. gordon chang, gatestone institute senior fellow, author of "the coming collapse of china." thanks so much, take care. >> thank you, arthel. eric: now to you our exclusive investigation about what happened to jimmy hoffa. the fbi likely will conduct a new dig for the body of the legendary labor leader this coming spring after fox nation revealed the claims that hoffa is buried in a metal barrel in jersey city, new jersey, and we found the potential evidence. metal buried that that looks just like the metal in question. it is the against the law for us to dig up what we found. fbi agents, though, are expected to do that. agents from the detroit and newark offices did go to that spot just a few weeks ago. paul coppola buried jimmy hoffa in a metal barrel in jersey city, new jersey. fox nation conducted a ground-penetrating radar survey of land that can find metal buried underground. we discovered metal that could corroborate frank's story. fbi is now investigating. so you're saying your father buried jimmy hoffa. >> my if dad later in years, he said that he couldn't fit in the drum held -- body first, feet first. they had to turn him and put him in head first. eric: your father said hoffa couldn't fit in the drum? >> he couldn't get the legs to bend right, so he had to take him out and put him in head first. eric: jimmy hoffa disappeared in detroit in 1975. the body was likely buried at an old dump. his father paul took a backhoe, dug a 12-foot hole and dumped the barrel at the bottom, but he moved the spot because he did not want many of hoffa's body fount on his property. in 2019, pox nation conducted the ground-penetrating survey, and we found large pieces of buried metal in half-moon shapes. is that metal? >> definitely metal. eric: we found several round-shaped metal objects buried here some on top of each other which fits my story exactly. and this is another spot right near the first one which is right -- that's the ground -- >> yeah, right there. eric: -- what could be a barrel. this would be the spot. fbi agents were at the spot a few weeks ago, and the bureau says in part, quote: fbi personnel from the newark and detroit field offices completed the survey, and that data is currently being analyzed. because the affidavit in support of the search warrant was sealed by the court, we are unable to provide any additional information. do you think jimmy hoffa is still where your father buried him?
