>> i don't think that is what i said. i think that is a reflection how migrants feel that a particular time. i think what we are doing we are making sure to respond to that hope for people who need protection. >> emily: ari i would like to start with you on this and get your reaction not only to that acknowledgment but also to the sort of reductive quality of that answer, which is ignoring all the push factors in reducing error pull factors to hope. your thoughts. >> ari: will come i think there is something more basic and moral at stake. that is the democratic party and its leaders particularly joe biden have lost the ability to make a moral distinction between people coming to america illegally and legally. they are putting them all together as one, saying this is about inhumane. they have lost the ability to say there's a right way and a wrong way and america and we look for people to come to america the right way. they make us a better country. come here illegally. have a better life. you will help us and we will help you. but if you come here illegally, this is not about being humane. i can't think of anything more inhumane, immoral, to the people who do come here illegally and to watch somebody make away across the rio grande, and get benefits and treatment that people have to wait in line for. they say, i should start illegally. that is not only inhumane but it is wrong. it is in joe's to the people including my mother. i am a first-generation american who here illegally. and it's from a moral point of view. this administration has everything backwards. >> harris: tomi, your thoughts. >> tomi: again, a lot of the folks coming over are not coming over with a legitimate asylum claims but they want jobs and opportunities. where we have to incentivize with those people to have jobs and opportunities, look around. we are in the middle of a pandemic and americans need those jobs and opportunities. but i will tell you this, when we are talking about the border and these people coming over here, you don't get across that border without pegging cartel, coyote or criminal organization. when those are paying six to $12,000 up to $20,000 to the criminal organization and cartels, what you are doing is directly funding those organizations that destroyed those home countries that people are then fleeing from. so with a cycle that we are not helpful in, if we want to make changes, don't come over here. we will help you fix your country. we will work on the balance in your country and the best way possible with as little interference as we can muster. but to say to people, come over here to get a free pass to make free tickets, a notice to disappear and you can live in the shadows and work for cheap, that is not the american peer that is not the way the biden administration should be handling this, but it's what we have come to expect from the democratic party at this point. >> that cycle you speak about has lasted decades and this continued approach to think it can be fixed in one administration's time on only our sort of myopic level come only with using our legislation without any collaboration at all. leslie, i would like to get your thoughts on something, we had ken cuccinelli made up statement and then i would like to get your thoughts on what he discussed and the focus saying that president biden bears the blame for the surge at the southern border. take a listen. >> part of the reason they are trying so desperately to play this down and avoid using the word crisis is that joe biden is personally responsible for this. we are now seeing the biden affect what an invitation to a whole bunch of illegals will do is flood the border. that is exactly what is happening. and it will continue to get worse. this is early in the season. >> emily: leslie, your thoughts. >> leslie: a couple of things, one commit is a crisis but semantics aside, the red brick is a different tone contributing to this? yes. other things are contributing and we need to look at history. 2014 and 2019 when donald trump was the president of the united states, a republican was a very different message regarding the border and immigration. we saw numbers like this. we have the words crisis used at that time's as well. so that is one of the issues. the other issue, we are in a pandemic and these nations are suffering that they are fleeing from. more violence and less economic opportunity, which plays into that. so does the red brick play into that or change the regime? yes, but it can't be placed on joe biden or democrats because we have seen these types of numbers during the trump administration and quite frankly to your point, emily, this is something that can be fixed in the presidential administration. it can take months, perhaps years to fix the immigration system regardless of which party is in power. >> harris: that is a little off-base and i want to say when you look at the numbers over the years, you have seen the spikes across different presidencies. and ken cuccinelli last hour told me in 2019, they made some decisive moves, not the least of which was a relationship. he described it as tough negotiations between our president and president of mexico to make sure asylum-seekers stayed on that side of the border. he kind of wanted to stem the tide to give us a chance to process through all of that. we did not approach the number we are seeing now. they are looking at massive sites to put these kids, come on, leslie. no -- they bent on some of those policies. my question is, if it didn't have trump by it, but they have waited a bit, where they have waited with this administration to see what works and what doesn't? or was there a light switch flipped. the trump idea and moving left that we have to change things. to think that is a fair question because what is happening now is so far from working that we need a new word for not working. >> emily: tomi did you want to say something real quick? >> tomi: leslie come i would like to jump in because i've actually been to the border in 2019 when we saw the caravans ad huge search of a unaccompanied minors and family units. i saw that in arizona. i was able to go to taxes during the last part of the trump administration and see the difference. and it was night and day difference because mexico was working with the united states. the policy of zero tolerance heard loud and clear around the world. those policies worked. yes, there will be problems in immigration but what trump was doing was building a wall with border enforcement and the tough frederick and his message do not come here illegally. it worked because i saw it with my own two eyes. have been there and i have seen it. it works. >> emily: leslie, real quick. i want to give you an opportunity to respond. >> leslie: we've seen hhs and the way they handled the numbers. the numbers 13,000 beds for children and now we have 8,000 going back to the original numbers. we see covid cases coming down one or two. i don't think it was trump next to the policy. it's one of the promises the promises biden campaigned on and the individuals who voted for him and made that a priority, which is why he and his administration are moving as they said they would. >> harris: and that is fine, but when you see after a few days or weeks it is not working, do you go back and look at that executive order or action that you signed and then make an adjustment? well, everybody is covering it at fox news. one clearly different than the other. and i would imagine for democrats, look, they are both important stories, but for democrats, maybe this is easier than the nursing home scandals because there are other democratic governors making the same choices that cuomo was putting positive covid people in nursing homes. you have gretchen whitmer, my governor in new jersey, similar policies. so maybe they are doing some political picking and choosing here. it is all bad though for governor cuomo. >> leslie: i don't think they are doing for picking and choosing, harris. there was not total transparency and honesty with regard to the nursing home deaths in those numbers. there were democrats aoc, for example myself on her level obviously but called for an investigation and for the truth to be found out. >> harris: the fbi is investigating. >> leslie: right. and this becomes different because sexual harassment has things in it. and that piques our interest in the united states not just inside politics but outside it. can i just say quickly, ari my love you but if we talk hypocrisy, there were 26 allegations against donald trump. we need to across-the-board the to believe the victims and we need do need due process so the truth comes out. the majority of people who come forward are telling the truth. sadly, there are some that are not. we have seen democrats call out their own, al franken, katie hill and during the clinton administration. we need to have that across-the-board appeared i think the hypocrisy goes both ways, at least from where i say it >> ari: that is lack of accusations with president trump with intense, fierce forensic. he did get the coverage on the initial accusation. now after time, after the first one a more common outcome of this is what i was saying either you or stevan mike stubborn like cuomo or people are consistent and you are drummed out of office. in new york, governor cuomo, gillibrand, vice president harris and president biden are the height of hypocrisy. >> harris: we are going to move on, tommy tomi, a royal offense across the pond, prince williams broke his silence after bombshell interview with meghan and prince harry. >> can you just let me know the comments, sir?
