>> well, look, obviously peter said no xi, no problem. i think if you're looking at it's supposed to be the biden doctrine, it's aing big problem. you're looking at a chinese communist party that has been bankrolling the war of aggression over this in ukraine, first the war of expansion in europe since world war ii. you're looking at a communist party that filled the void in afghanistan, allowing china to go in there and now have a new 25 the-year deal to extract oil in afghanistan. you're looking at this chinese communist party that effectively is running roughshod if you're talking about a, quote-one quote, green new deal initiative being push by the biden agenda. it has very little to do with the 85% emissions starting in places like china and india. biden's weakness on the main stage, his policy or lack thereof has led to the trouble we've seen in the middle east, has led to the point where we are today where we have, again, rudderless foreign policy and the world not knowing who is actually many in control of setting the agenda. griff: al, how do you see it? everything else in the economy goes up in price. and, in fact, ucla did a study that the indirect impact of higher energy prices is two times as much as the direct impact, meaning, you know, you'll see oil, energy be a part of inflation, but if you look at the core inflation as energy prices trickle through, it's two times more impactful meaning we have more inflation ahead. aishah: oh, gosh. well, you know, last year when prices were on the rise, president biden actually tapped the strategic petroleum reserve, about 180 million barrels of it. we never really quite refilled it completely. in fact, we're at a 40-year low now. where does that put us as we head into these winter months and gas prices continue to rise? we're able to take control of this island, shut it down, clear the area, set up the infrastructure, and it's going to shift that activity to what we're seeing in mexico as far as these drug cartels. griff: good. if it makes it more difficult the for the cartels, i'm all for it. maybe i'll come down and join you guys. lieutenant chris oliveras, thanks for taking time. >> appreciate it, griff. aishah: thank you, griff. so reports show that there is a spike now in military and veteran suicide. this is very, very tragic. and the semper fi and america's fund has programs out there to help veterans connect to the help they need to get through their struggles. joining us to tell us more about this is sergeant carlton kent. sergeant, thank you so much for joining us. i want to pull up this statistic really quickly just to set the tone here so people understand just how bad of a situation this is. so this shows you the percentage of folks out there who feel that mental health is a seen of weakness, and you can see -- is a sign of weakness. and you can see across the u.s., 50% think it's a sign of weakness. but in the veteran community, it is so much worse. 75% of veterans believe that this is a sign of weakness, to seek help. it's devastating because you think about 222 -- 22 veterans commit suicide every single day. can you tell us why is this still so that boo to seek help, and what can people like myself do to reach out to these folks in. >> thank you for having me on today, first of all. you know, the semper fi america's fund is really an awesome organization, and the organization has been around since 2004. and they do so much for these great americans that go out and they serve their nation. you know, the men and became, you know, they continue -- the men and women, they continue to raise their right hand, and they join the military. and they join because they truly believe in this nation. and they truly believe going to fight our nation's battles and winning those wars. and i have witnessed it over and over again. and i personally have witnessed the great sacrifices that these americans do. and that's in all services. and they think that it's a sign of weakness because they always think about strength. they think about strength when they, you know, when they've got their fellow service member to their right and to hair left. to their left. and they think it's a sign of weakness, but it is not a sign of weakness because they have proven themselves. they don't have anything else to prove to anybody because their dues are paid in full to this nation for the sacrifices that they have done. and we've got awesome, awesome, great men and women that continue to serve, and they've been doing that from generations to general races. so i'm -- generations. so i'll be the first to say that it's not a sign of weakness because they have strength. i mean, less than 1% of americans serve in the military. so that shows strength of them that want to go out and sacrifice. and their families sacrifice everything. and the semper fi america's fund, they've come in and they to things right for these veterans, you know, for pts, tbi. i mean, they assist every veteran. they don't turn down any veteran. and they have case managers that with these individuals from the time that they're wounded or the time that they start a case, they'll be with them day out and day in for 24 hours throughout their whole life span because you've got veterans today, they are severely wounded. we've been at war for the last 18-20 years, and we're going to need support and assistance for these great americans for many, many years to come. aishah: i love the pictures that we're watching on the careen right now because it just shows -- the screen right now because it shows the cam a radially and these amazing programs that you offer at semper fi. if we could pull up some of the different special programs that you offer; family support, transition programs, integrated wellness. can you walk us through, i mean -- the saying goes the toughest battle starts when you come home, and it's because it's so hard to get your family and friends to understand what you have gone through overseas. how do you reach these people, our heroes, and and help them through these programs? >> well, let me just tell you, first of all, you know, the semper fi america's fund, first of all, you know, you've got to show these great warriors that you truly love. not lip service, but you truly love them. and everyone, you know, in the military, they understand that they can trust that individual to they are right, they can trust that individual to their left, and they're going to give their high for them if they have to in combat. so i think the american people need to show them love, first of all. aishah: right. >> i mean, this is not a lip service thing, this is serious business because with we're losing too many veterans daily to this -- aishah: we are -- sergeant major carlton the kent, and it's tough because the veterans' crisis hotline, i believe, since it was the created has seen a historic number of veterans now calling in. so at least they are taking the step now to reach out for help, and that is what matters. we so appreciate your time that you spent with us today on your saturday, and we hope that veterans watching will hear this and will reach out for help. we're here. thank you, sir. >> thank you. thank you for having me on. okay, bye. griff: that was such a great segment, ire shah, and our
