we talked a lot this week, brian about the "wall street journal" showed the seven swing states and biden losing to trump in six of seven within the margin of error. you are right. they are going to keep facing these headlines. what do the polls say? the big x-factor the economy, still. what i just talked about with gas prices and student loan forgiveness what all means will certainly have a major impact on those polls as well. >> brian: get a good pennsylvania poll. >> steve: the supreme court, mark, already said the biden administration couldn't do it. i don't get what they are doing. >> brian: student loans. >> this is a good point. i think we are going to hear more about this on monday. some lines out to the white house to see what it is. the journal says in their report this morning these will be broad outlines of what the white house hopes to do and something they will still have to go through regulatory process. the journal is alooting instead of just forgiving everybody that has $10,000 worth of student loans we will find that maybe you are a certain income cap. maybe you have not been paying for the past 20 years. there may be more conditions as opposed to just kind of a broad stroke of student loan forgiveness. >> brian: and they're not supposed to be able to do it and they keep doing that. >> lawrence: how can it be during election year. >> brian: it's a bribe. >> lawrence: courts and decide they are going to do in t. any way. >> steve: about time to buy some boats. >> brian: how about car loans? my family grew up on the 99-cent store. we didn't have a lot. my mom would go to the 99-cent store and at that time it's like 1.07 with tax per item and she would say hey, she had her groceries and we were allowed to get two things. i can't imagine having to pay 4 bucks now for some of the stuff that was once 99. that's the whole point of the 9 correct stores. everything is 99 cents. >> steve: my family did the same thing. okay you get tchotchkes and steven stuff a lot of people go to buy their groceries at the collar stories. >> ainsley: we went to the commissary dad served in the army prices were cheaper there i wonder if they have gone up there as well. >> steve: they don't have tax. >> brian: we feel your pain whether it comes to inflation and shopping this weekend and what they keep telling you about inflation is they say it was at 9%. only 3%. it stays at the 9 and then you add the 3. it doesn't go down to 3. it's all above. so you need it to go down to 2%. never get that money back when it went up to 9 it compounds. on a different note. probably most famous people in the world who did it the blue collar way. >> steve: skip bedell? ♪ steve all right. let's get some headlines for this friday morning. the cdc director says that agency is keeping a close eye on the spread of bird flu. and there are plans to mass produce vaccines just in case there is a bird flu pandemic. this comes after the nation's largest producer of eggs temporarily shut down production in michigan and texas after the bird flu was found this their facilities. bird flu has reportedly infected dairy herds in six states they are in, as you can see those yellow states right there, ohio, texas, kansas, new mexico, idaho and michigan. also happening today lawmakers are holding a field hearing in miami on a series of cyber and infrastructure threats coming from china. they will hear from the commander of the u.s. coast guard cyber commands. owners of a shipping company and others who operate our ports. this comes after the u.s. pledged to invest billions of dollars to replace chinese made cranes. and those, brian, are some of the headlines. >> brian: let's take this story international. >> israel has agreed to send more aid delivers to gaza following a warning from president biden as we learn more about the idf airstrike that killed seven aide workers mistakenly. biden demanding immediate cease-fire in his call with netanyahu while threatening to end u.s. supports if things don't change. the white house insists biden's commitment to israel remains firm. >> how much is his support unwavering but you are also reconsidering policy choices? >> both can be true. peter peesht they cannot be true. they are completely different things. >> no. he made it clear to the prime minister in his call that our support for israel's self-defense remains ironclad. >> brian: here to react is fox news senior strategic analyst retired four star general jack keane what does it mean when he says to netanyahu start -- do what is necessary to have a cease-fire? >> well, what's taking place here is go to a cease-fire and make concessions to achieve that cease-fire, certainly negotiations have been going on for some time and netanyahu has had a six-week cease-fire on the table for weeks. but, hamas -- in those negotiations, has been quite impossible to deal with. now, what have we done? we just strengthened hamas' hand, rather dramatically. and leveraged them in those negotiations. and we -- it's quite appalling. we should stay out of this and give israel some credit. this is a horrible thing that happened, certainly. but, within 24 hours, they admit they made a mistake, they apologized for it and began an investigation. they have conducted a preliminary investigation, not the final one. they have relieved two officers. they reprimanded two other officers. and the fact that they relieved someone and reprimanded someone also is a credit to them. i think what it is going to come down to, likely, certainly they misidentified the wck vehicles as being hamas. it will come down to maybe what was the evidence you had that this was hamas? why did you pull the trigger thinking this was hamas? what triggered you in terms of this was an okay shoot to begin with? so, that's a thorough investigation done by a values-based organization, that is holding its people to a very high standard. and, certainly our standards are going to be much more than hamas'. there is no equivalency here. but the israelis are taking right steps, given the horror of what took place. and they should be given some credit to it as opposed to being wire brushed in public and being forced to concede to the adversary in negotiations. that is really outrageous in my view. >> brian: just remember why we are there, october 7th. that he was the only research why israel is there. they never wanted to go into gaza that should be reminded every day before anybody talks about condemning how you fight in one of the most brutal environments on the planet today. here's the statement that just came out as we started this segment from the idf. the investigation found that the forces identified a gunman on one of the trucks. following which they identified an additional gunman, after the vehicles left the warehouse where the aid had been unloaded. one the commanders. mistakenly assumed that the gunmen were located inside the accompanying vehicles and these were hamas terrorists. so that -- they follow up the reprimand and everything. it seems to me we have the finest military in the world and best intelligence in the world. we make mistakes too. it wasn't too long ago under the biden administration we killed 10 civilians including seven children because we thought that was the family of the bomber that blew up everybody at abby gate. it turns out he was loading water jugs. did you really want netanyahu to reprimand us then, general? >> actually, that incident you are referring to 10 killed and seven children. we call that a righteous strike at the beginning. it took us weeks before we divulged to the american people and certainly to the afghan people that we made a horrible mistake. you know, as a result of that. and, likely similar here. a lookout of things went into the judgment that this is actually an enemy vehicle and certainly have authorization to strike is that vehicle. listen, human beings under stress in combat situations, these are challenging things. we will hold ourselves accountable for that and they will do the same. our adversary certainly isn't going to do anything of the kind. we shouldn't be enforcing israel to make concessions in these very difficult negotiations that are taking place while they are trying to get their hostages back. i think implied in this is a bigger thing, brian. i think the administration, without saying it publicly, really wants this to stop. the fighting to stop right now. put the weapons down. let's end this thing. and, if that happens, and we leave hamas with multiple battalions and their leaders in place, they win. >> and that's the reality of it. and israel's security is going to be threatened as a result of that. and the people in israel want hamas to be destroyed. that is a fact. the majority of the people are completely behind the prime minister. they may disagree with him being a prime minister as enduring prime minister because they are holding him accountable for some other things, but they all are behind destroying hamas. why is that? because their own security. they are talking about their kids and grandkids here and hamas. their objective is to make the security situation in israel so volatile that people don't want to stay there and live there that's' what is on the table here. >> brian: by the way for people at home according to what we know from people on the ground. if benny gantz was prime minister he might be stronger against hamas than the. don't think this is a netanyahu problem. they will want to blame it all on him. i hope they finished the job. they will apologized for their mistake. hope they do not do a cease-fire that they are not comfortable with. general, thanks so much. i appreciate it? >> i found out about it when the principal called and let us know about it, about the incident. and we were really shocked a and -- just to hear that really hurt us. >> ainsley: yeah. of course. mark, how did the principal find out and did you see the video and what was your reaction? >> so the principal apparently found out where another teacher at west clermont took it to the attention of the principal and said, you know, this had happened. she had seen the video. we didn't really -- we didn't really learn anything about it until about two weeks ago we went to the police station and actually watched the video. and, like i said, when you watch the video if you are just a normal person looking at the video and you see a kid getting -- it was all fun and games. to us it wasn't fun and games. that's the point we are trying to make. it should have never happened. and what we're trying to get out of this is definitely for our special needs classes, especially the ones around in our district, to get cameras in the special needs classes. that way, if there is an incident and we want to look back on the videos we can actually see the videos and that's what this whole thing is for. we just want clarity on something if he comes home with a scratch or a bruise, you know, it could happen out on the playground or whatever. we want to know. >> ainsley: you have to be his voice. >> a lot of people with down syndrome kids or special needs kids that's what they want to know. >> ainsley: what did the teacher and aide being accused of this say? >> we haven't heard anything from the teacher or the aide. and i just want people to get out of this the fact that it's just -- our special needs kids are -- i mean, they are very -- they are special and you don't want to treat anybody else's kids other than what you would want to treat your own kids. >> ainsley: i was reading that his hands were down on his side. taped around his waste all the d only move his fingers. >> ainsley: how is dustin doing? >> well, you can speak about the moon and sun essentially lining up with where they are on earth if they are under the path of totality and indicate how rare this is because the last time we had one was seven years ago, the next time it will be be visible over the continental u.s. excluding alaska will be 2044. >> steve: do you know other eclipse chasers who have gone to being in the path of the eclipse and you get there and camp out and they look up and it's cloudy or rainy and they miss the whole thing? >> yes. and that has to do with bad planning, i think, on their part. you can't guarantee the weather and we hope for the best in every situation. >> lawrence: paul, can you tell us why it's important to have the right glasses to view this? >> sure, you have to protect your eyes from the ultraviolet radiation. when you look at the sun on a normal day and your eyes react saying don't look at me. but, when you have the eclipse glasses on it allows you to safely view the sun prior to the total eclipse. >> brian: where will you be? >> right now we will be southwest mexico, maybe 200 kilometers out. that's our plan right now. >> brian: why? >> sorry. again? >> brian: why? why is that the best place? >> it may not be the best place but we are using statistical historical data indicating it may be the least cloudy place along the path. >> ainsley: paul, i just bought some glasses on amazon, are they approved? how do we know if they are the right ones? >> well, that's a good question. the best way to do that is to look on the back of the glasses to see if it has an iso 9000 set of texts. but, many of these fake glasses and there are some of those out there, the best thing to do is to pick it up, put it on your forehead, attempt to view a light in your room. if you can see that light, then chances are they are not going to be suitable. >> steve: whatever you do, don't just try it with sunglasses because that dog don't hunt. >> absolutely correct. >> brian: but what do you do when you are not chasing an eclipse?
